I was looking for a used Typhon 6S before and now I’m pretty set on getting the 3S version. Thanks!
The 3s platform from Arrma is tough, straight out of the box it's tough. The 3s version of the Typhon is fast, durable and very controllable. I'm glad I finally added it to my collection. As of right now, it still hasn't broken any parts, but I do have a few recommendations for upgrading it in the future. That video is upcoming. Wow, that's an interesting question. There are so many buggies out there it's hard to pick one. We only have a few of them in the studio and that limits our experience to those rigs. My favorite 4x4 buggy has to be the TLR Typhon because of it's build and the adjustments it provides. Running on 4s this 6s rig is versatile and fast, especially when geared up on 6s. Hey, I just bought one of these 3 days ago & I feel like I hear some clicking. I posted a little short vid on my channel. I’m not sure if this is the way the car just sounds or if something’s wrong with mine or if the rear diff is rubbing too tight. If you could help me out that’d be amazing, thanks.
I watched your video, that’s just the sound of the gears. It sounds proper to me. If you roll it faster the gears sound smoother. Better yet, put a battery in it and take it for a rip! Good luck!
I have a question for you if you can, please answer considering you have both cars. So I have the typhon 3S i’m curious if the wheels from the typhon 6s will fit the typhon 3s car? I mean, they are both 17mm hex. Nobody seems to know on UA-cam, with all of the people who do modifications to the typhons. I will wait for your response. Thank you Andre from Boston Massachusetts.
We have interchanged them and they do fit. We've used both and they perform well enough but I'm unsure if the 3s tires will handle the 6s power for long. Thanks for asking.
They do have issues with gravel, and that applies to all of the 3s RCs from Arrma. It's usually not an RC killer though. Tip it upside down with the body off and most of it falls out, even in the steering mechanism, just turn the steering back and forth a couple of times with the RC inverted. The honeycomb area though, not so much. Thanks for sharing. 😎👍

We have maybe 3 areas we can go all tiny and very small. So the rest is any where we can get away with it. Streets parking lots non park fields. The smaller size helps with smaller spaces. When bigger faster cars doing 70 plus come out some one always complains to the police about safety and we get shut down.

Sometimes, and this applies to most RCs out there, you can get a bad wheel that wobbles a bit. It can also be caused by overtightening of the wheel and mashing the plastic, but this is less common.
