Looking and sounding good... That's Thor's first tour underway and making an exemplary start. Very exciting... Can't wait for more! Poppy has settled in well which is a good indicator that'll is well with the new addition to the family.
It's good that the heating works very well, even to the point of taking your coat off Bob! It bodes well for winter. Looking forward to the next video of Thor's tour.
We picked our new VW California Campervan September 2019. Watched quite a lot of your videos and find them very informative. Our first trip was to Knaresborough Caravan & Motorhome site, which we found to be fantastic. Love the new Swift Kon-Tiki Sport.
We know that approach road from Knaresborough and it is tricky by the wall on the corner. Note to self must get Mirror Guards. Glad you had a lovely time. I see poppy is enjoying the new motorhome 👍😊
Hi Bob and Jenny enjoy your new motor home.We would like to introduce ourselves as Dave and Mave who met you as you were leaving Cayton village in September we briefly spoke about a ridge monkey and collapsible pipe we enjoy watching you and picked up some useful tips as we are fairly new to motorhoming and enjoy it as you both do enjoy the bistro with your friends
Hi Bob and Jen y just watching did and issue with poppy crate 😐 maybe try standing upright to out into shower...or best we did was get a collapsible cage so much easier again from Amazon we got in a medium Ollie a big bigger than pops but loads of room can find link if want let us know 🤗😊
Thanks, we did try a fabric dog crate called Dogbag when she was younger, she didn't like it and just rolled it over when she was inside. It doesn't take anytime to unclip and put the crate inside the shower.
You've got it looking so cosy and homely already! Can't wait for 23rd when we're off to Somerset family in the caravan for Christmas and NY🍾🎄🥂Happy Christmas.
Aww, Poppy all tuckered out! The food looked good in the Bistro, I'd be tempted to eat there every day! Mrs SatNag seemed confused at the 2 roundabouts in Knaresborough, thinking the first one was traffic lights! Did there used to be lights there?
Great video. I like the test in a motorhome if the electric is on is the same as the in the caravan. I look through the window to see if the microwave has came on :-)
Question Bob? I’m working my way through your vids all good informative ones not got my swift kontiki sport 599 lounge until next March so your vids are very good for me . have you done one on leaving site (packing up) then going back to home What do you take out check and do you leave it connected to mains or is that done prior to setting off etc ?? If so can you send link
I haven't done a video on arriving home, for security reasons. I leave the motorhome connected to the mains all the time we are home with the heating on 11 degrees during the colder months.
Thanks for another great video. Regarding the 240v hook up and switching the breaker off, if it was left switched on and all the appliances are switched on, when you connect to the bollard you could be connecting 10, 12 or even more amps which could cause arcing or even a power surge tripping the bollard. Just a thought hope it makes sense. Enjoy the rest of your stay.
Knaresborough looks a lovely and fresh site, can really see where they have spent a lot of money and the bistro looks great too. Beautiful motorhome guys, although i know how you feel about that shower door, our caravan one was the same, not ideal for a portly gentleman such as me 🤣🤣👍🏻
If you connect up with the breakers on you will not only get arcing at the connector but it will be a very iffy connection for a split second. You’ll also get a current spike which can be damaging. Makes more sense to turn off and turn on correctly. Also spikes may trip the shore power leaving you without power until someone resets THEIR breaker.
The caravan and motorhome club actually advise that you turn off the mains in the motorhome before you connect to the hook up .i am guilty of not following this rule but I do always connect to the motorhome first so I am not walking around with a live cable 👍🏻👍🏻
Great to come along with you in Thor, but I noticed a reflection from the dash? on this one, as you left the showroom and it seems to have stayed with you to mar our travelling views of the beautiful countryside. I'm sure you have noticed it as you edited. Can't have it all can we :)
@@BobEarnshawMoHo hey great to know that you have already got the solution figured out Bob. Looking forward to hearing how your first nights sleep on those comfy looking beds went! I think I would be sending my hubby out to make the coffee and staying put under those new fangled mini duvets Ha!
Bob I got a little worried when you said that everything was new except Mrs. Sat Nag and then you turned the camera on Jenny as if to say and you Darling are not new either. Looking very happy with the new van and it looks great.
Can we see our friends, and if so do we park miles away 😂😂😂 Great video, she certainly sounds quieter and looks smoother....beautiful investment! Thank you for sharing!
Love seeing your videos Enjoy your travels in your new van. Quick question we recently took delivery of a new MH (Peugeot)and were advised against towing our car for at least 500miles. Just wondered why Fiat give out different advice.
Nice one bob

Hi bob Jenny and poppy congratulations on the new van you have a beautiful set up with the car on tow aswell wishing you many happy miles ahead ♥️
I really like your dash cam videos. Some of the towns you go through are really enchanting. Magic stuff.
Yes, I enjoy those as well, it's like being a passenger, and getting to see all the interesting little towns, and beautiful countryside.
Lovely van enjoy 😊
Thank you.
Great video Bob, I like that you can see your water tank filling on the app 👍
Thanks
Enjoy your first tour in Thor, exciting. Loved the journey with you to Knaresborough. The Bistro looks a nice place to eat. Your van looks very cosy x
Bob Thor looks a beauty, luxury enjoy and keep up posting liking the tips

Our first trip of 2020 this weekend Chatsworth site Sun, Mon.

The mighty Thor hits the road 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
shame it wasn't next week, when we are there! The Cheese Board looked good, that was the winner for me! Enjoy...Andy & Michelle :)
Were the fridge vent covers left on deliberately Bob? Thanks for the pleasure of letting us come along with you both !
The idea of the fridge covers is to stop the fridge over cooling in winter. I don't think we need them on, this fridge does not seem to need them.
Happy travels in the motor home

Thanks for a lovely evening Bob and Jenny. Great video but almost made us late for tonight’s Rummicub challenge 😂 Trev n Sue
Just reading the rules,
Great to see you out in your new Kontiki, love the site at Knaresborough but never tried the bistro, but will have to check out when we go again 👍😁

Yes the food was good about £20 each including drinks. Yes I noticed that about the sat nav, must have been lights before.

Yes, very true.
lovely video 👍
Bob, why didn't you opt for the automatic? Maybe save some energy over a long journey to Europe possibly?
£2600 or so extra for the automatic, buys an awful lot of diesel. Plus I bought a showroom model.

Great van Bob was the tow bar fitted when you got it is it the removable one have a great time exciting times 👍
We had the tow bar added, think it was around £700. Sorry for the late reply. 🫢🫢

Yes, sorry about that, I cut the cloth to fit the sat nav on the old van, need some more cloth and some more blue tack to hold it in place.

Hi how many miles to the gallon do u get thanks
26.2 mpg on our last big tour. Here's the playlist ua-cam.com/play/PLUi3rqw12j2p0BRqcprzU7UXVZ1fHCneS.html
Hi new to your u tube channel, on the hook up is the plug a 16 amp?
Yes they are 16 amp blue site hook up plugs.
Re: the Fridge.. I'd have thought setting it to 5 would have made it warmer, not colder? What does it go down to?
Yes, I think you're right, 1 is coldest, 5 is warmest...
@@BobEarnshawMoHo oh, i thought 5 would be the coolest (it is in my fridge)

No idea. It was fine towing our Up! Modern vehicles don't have the traditional running in period these days.
Bob Earnshaw
I think it was just our dealer being over cautious .
That lounge!! I would be on that sofa with my feet up! Lovely :)
That’s a beautiful motorhome, you definitely made the right choice on the upgrade, enjoy !!! 👍👍
Do you drive with the heating on gas? I guess you have the crash sense on the regulator?
Yes we do.
Thor on tour..
The two brothers italian restaurant in the Castle courtyard is really good but you will have to book as it gets busy.
Thor t'about ?
as your van has a male name you need a male voice on the sat nav
She's always been Mrs Sat Nag....
