- Our journey from Edinburgh to Knaresborough was a long and difficult ride as we took the A1 southbound during a storm and four large lorries overturned which blocked the road. After serious delays we took a detour along the A68 through Northumberland.
On arrival to Knaresborough we walked into Scotton with the dogs and then met with Bob and Jenny Earnshaw. We had a lovely meal at The Wanderer on the Knaresborough Caravan and Motorhome Site.
The next day we visited Knareborough Castle, had some refreshments in a cafe and then has a Rummikub challenge before saying our goodbye's to Bob and Jenny as they moved on to their next destination.

All so very “ lovely “ 👍🤩 We always enjoy the knaresborough site but never had time to get to the castle so thank you for showing us around. Food looked good in the restaurant too.. we need try that out. Usually we head into the town for food and a drink. Merry Christmas all a Wonderful new year to you my “ lovelies” xx

We have become very choosy with our camp sites over the years and we love the Caravan and Motorhome Club sites purely because you know when you book that standards are going to be pretty high. It was about £25 a night with full facilities and electric hookup. Not bad when you consider it was freezing outside 🙂 Thanks for watching 🎄 Happy Christmas 🎄 Trev

Caravan Vlogger yes “The Wanderer” is the little Bistro restaurant which is on the site adjoining the Warden’s reception. We booked at a table at reception when we collected the electronic key with our pitch number. The restaurant wasn’t busy at this time of year but it helps them know how many are coming to eat. Rummikub is a game of matching numbers and colours in groups of 3 or more. Difficult to explain but it’s a bit like Scrabble for those that can’t spell. 😄 Thanks for watching our videos, Happy Christmas 🎄 Trev n Sue

Saw you when I was going to Stamford to the bowls club and got lost and went past you when Trevor was walking Oscar and Sophie and Ethel and Bertie in the lay-by on the great north road on Sunday
Yes we were there, not a pleasant place to stop but we needed to stretch the dogs legs and make a drink. We were glad we did as the A14 was closed causing an hour delay. Thanks for supporting our channel. We will take the A1 for more adventures in 2020. 🎄Happy Christmas 🎄 Trev n Sue
