1946 starred the great Vivian Pickles as Alice here shown resting between shoots in a lawn chair. Later, in life she was Bud Cort's strident mother in the cult favorite HAROLD & MAUDE. She appeared as Isadora Duncan in Ken Russell's BBC Monitor Doc ISADORA, THE BIGGEST DANCER IN THE WORLD (1966).
I liked the 1933 version tho did not care for Charlotte Henry as Alice, the only version I've really disliked is the 2 night all star TV version with Shelley Winters & Sammy Davis jr which was dreadful
One day, someone might find a piece of footage for at least one of these.
I am guessing the missing broadcasts are pantomine versions ,, but no one kept copies of tv plays
