whoa at F40 you can see every specs of dust on that sensor! I think this lens is more suited for videos. Looks pretty cool for photos but most photos could have been done with a regular macro lens.
@@kevindoesntgiveahoot3555 The most obvious video shot here would have been starting with a portrait shot then pulling the lens out through the donut to the guy taking a bite.
@@pailoxdd No kidding. I live in a sleepy place and birds tend to fly away when people approach. They are used to my dog. They just hang out with him, but as soon as I go into the backyard they fly away. But in Disneyland at those outdoor tables the sparrows just hop around among the diners picking up crumbs.
I remember the review of this lens actually years back. It has an extension too, besides front lights (LED) for macro and a special cover for the front for dipping it into water.
seeing the sand up-close like that is so fascinating. When you learn at school that soil is just eroded rock, they were serious! It looks just like rocks and minerals up-close.
Incorrect. With a classic macro you have extreme limited sharp parts for your picture. With this „lens“ you can manage to get every part sharp if you want. It’s more like „being“ in the bugs perspective rather than filming it.
@@derAtze I absolutely do. But where other high focal length macro optics more or less cut out their subject, the Laowa Macro Probe draws a wide-angled image with a high depth of field and a detailed background.
I actually use that lens alot for street. I like to find a street scene and then shoot it thru a hole in a wall from the other side so its framed. Old fences, wooden things also look cool for that. Try it out!
I don’t think you did this lens justice, it’s meant for video and to go in and through things not just for macro shots, Peter McKinnon and Jamarcus Brownley did an excellent job of show casing what it’s capable of
If you think you can't have this much fun then you are wrong. He is an inspiration. Take whatever gear you have and go out shooting stuff. Regardless what it is and regardless how many times someone else photographed a place before you. It is your shot for your entertainment and pleasure. Go out and have fun.
I understand the possibles with this, but for some shot, would it look much different using a 24mm lens with a very close focus distance and getting very close?
Love your stuff Pierre! One of the UA-camrs that inspired me to do photography and now I’m upgrading to a Sony a7 iii + Sigma 35mm 1.4 from a Canon 800D+50mm 😁
This is great! I was like wtf could you possibly use a "probe lens" for and just in a day of screwing around with it you've shown so many fun ways you can use it. Good stuff, man.
If someone looks at you carrying this thing around and they don't see the camera body but just the probe lens... "Is this a barrel? Oh god, this person got a gun!" 😅
This is so cool! Love that you took it out to the streets. I’d be too scared someone would think I’m carrying around a gun or something at a quick glance. 😂😅
The funny thing is that I'm pretty sure you could have made most of those shots without the crazy lens, but I'm over here laughing my ass off while you stick it into random things. 10/10
The 2X Macro Probe Lens is made for Water like you said its water proof its made for underwater areas mainly not really land but objects that appeal with land is great way but mainly seas, oceans, rivers
Hey Pierre, Love this lens. I'm not sure if you knew, but that lens has a built in light in the front. So you could use it on lower F stop for that shot you took of the DJI
Nice mais beaucoup de travail a trier tout ça ensuite. Et que fais tu avec tes photos ensuite? comment monétisé ton travail autrement que par tes formations?

Please i need dslr camera for free
I accept used camera
Because dslr are expensive in my contery.
Please put a counter next time. I'm really curious about the amount of times you said WEIRD.
Wow bro so cool 😍😍😍😍
exactly 11 times! haha
Love that lens, to expensive for me, maybe you want to clean your lens or camera...damn the amount of black spots in the pictures is amazing!
all these lens dealers are making the community a more dangerous place. now there are people shooting everywhere :(
😂😂😂
😂😂
Well done pun! 🤣👌
Double entendre
Bravo!

I thought the same. I don't see much use other than the shot where he reached into the bag
Agree, in ani other case is just a macro. This lens shines on video.

I get a strange joy whenever I select the thumbnail that you end up using. Great video man!
Hahaha 😝 mind games!

Pierre is the only person to take a probe lens to the streets. Thanks for the great perspective and congrats on 400k subs!

Drinking game. Take a shot every time Pierre says “Weird”
Idjdi/t ncow icnat spreeks
"What Is This??" and "Weird!" even after using the lens for hours LOL
Sticks the lens into a bird. "I don't want the next pandemic"
Next shot, sticking it into a donut right before it's consumed.
That bird is the best model. So still and perfect 😂😂
🧟♂️

2:34 I am impressed whenever someone got super close up shot of birds
I think the fun part of this lens is making it go through things, the same pictures he took could be done with a macro
I was about to comment the same thing
Thats the only thing i could think about for the whole video :D

@@MultiDeluxe you do know how aperture works, right

"Let's not get run over" or a variation of that is probably the most used sentence in Pierre's videos 😂
Thanks for reminding us what it's all about: having fun!
That is sweet your dealer calls you precious
Love from India 🇮🇳♥❤
Seriously one of the coolest videos I've seen in a while!
While I think that most photos could have also been made with a different lens and I think it's main focus is cool video stuff, I loved the video
You guys are so funny😂
But those shots at the beach! Dang!
The donout eye shot was amazing.😍

🎉Congrats on 400k! 🎉
I was actually expecting a "going through the donut" transition shot!!
So sick, I'm screaming🤯🤯🤯
I mean the rock's on the beach, man.

I got to use this lens last week. It’s insane. So unique
Do the LED lights/flash on the end of the lens only work on the native camera? Or is it an extra power source? Loved the outcome of the photos.
Extra power is needed
I like the "we're getting somewhere here", it's like find use out of a useless object.
Calonoscopy doctors gonna love this lens
5:23 the first thing a baby sees
Interesting lens “wow” made a amazing picture😊
Where can I get one for my Canon? I hate to think how much these cost.
I've gotta try this lens! Fun 🤞🏾
Even photos pretty similar if not better than the ones taken by the camera
I’m visiting Chicago this summer
