Make sure you cut vent holes in your fuselage or your top hatch will blow off in flight. They are just below the cowl & at the bottom just in front of the tail wheel. Nice post build & unboxing, looking forward to the maiden. Can’t fly mine until the snow melts up here.😞
there have been alot of problems with the top hatch flying off in flight. i guess drilling an air release hole somewhere near the tail wheel to lessen the inside pressure . id call omp to find out
Good Lord.................................................another one! You know how to fly balsa? just kidding. Wow...nice looking plane. Luv the stripes on wing bottom. I like Buddy Rc if you purchased from them. Their quick...etc. Anyhew.................thanks for video
Mine was the same way. The rudder was split a little bit where the horizontal stabilizer goes in at . I did the same thing and used thin ca and sanded and cut some of the covering off on the stabilizer.
Ya know whats strange? is that the only Foam Plane Company that produced a Super Decathlon was the Volantex Brand and i had one but the Motor and Esc was complete garbage but the rest of the plane was just incredibly awesome and well contructed...i think i will have to bite the bullet and get the Higher grade OMP Cathy and not have to do anything to it but fly it balls out....
She flies great but DO NOT HOLD HER TIGHTLEY FROM THE BELLY! I cracked one of the fuse ribs by just moving the model around. Hold her by the wing only.
I done what you said on my lights on my decathlon they still don't work but my landing light works could the light controler be bad or could the lights be burned out
I have a question that I would like to ask you to help me with if you can. can you tell me the difference between a 5S husky and a 6S husky or are they the same?
Nice Mr. FliesRC! I just put mine together and absolutely love it. I've subscribed and will definitely delve into your channel as I'm interested in seeing all that other stuff you've got in your workshop. Please feel free to check out mine as well if you're interested in seeing some RC stuff from Australia.
The build was as easy as the quality is great! An amazing plane. The video does not do it justice! This thing looks fantastic!
You know the line... If she flies half as good as she looks... 👍
Yep, I love the hobby. Looking and flying good!

Good tip! I was thinking there were no air holes but plenty of inlet cooling. Hopefully I can fly mine tomorrow , Friday the 24th.
Great Video 👍🎬📽🎥✔✴✴✴✴✴
Thank you! Cheers!
How do you hook up the lights
You just need power. You can plug them into the bind port or any unused port like channel 5 where retracts normally go.
Very cool!
lol

That's why we do these videos to warn others before they start their builds. Thanks for sharing!

Got one on the way! Looking forward to it. Nice, helpful video.
The belly ribs are a bit weak be careful how you hold the plane.

12.21where is the cg on the omp decathlon
Yes but I have since sold the plane.
Hey maybe you can help me I've got the decathlon pnp I can't get the wing tip lights to work how do I get those to work
Hook them up to a servo testor first to ensure they work if they do give the lights their own channel .

@@fishing8374 Can you join them on a y lead?

The six s has a vector stabilizer and a better motor esc. Also a wooden prop.
