subscribed, I learned a lot from watching 👀 this video. I love how you showed your approach to landings several times. I bought the plane today and will add the easy lights as well. Again, great commentary 👍.
This green PNP version with flaps is the only version of this plane in stock. The comparable Challenger is out of stock. OMP has just a few models in stock but that is similar to many suppliers. Look at Tower. Most of their ARF's are "Backorder" I wonder if balsa planes will become rare?
Nice flight and landing of the OMP Big Horn. I have a Big Horn that I haven't flown yet and I am thinking of moving the control arms in on the horn to reduce the throw before adjusting the rates to 40%. What are your thoughts?
I know you flew using 3200..i asked if he thought 4500 3s should fit...its very hard to know unless i have a plane in front of me...this is definitely a winner.. factory navs lights would have been a big plus.thanks
Hello friend, I bought the bighorn flaps version and plan to fly her on 8 channel setup but limited to dx6e and ar620 at the moment.. trying to set up and so far I have ailerons and flaps on Y harnesses, planning to use a signal reverser for one of the flap servos because they are installed opposite each other.. I'm a newbie, does this sound workable?
loose the signal reverser and reverse one of the flaps in the transmitter then setup normal. Or are you trying to setup full span ailerons? This plane is very agile are you sure your ready for it?
@@FatGuyFliesRC I'm definitely not ready to fly it, but I still want to set it up. The bigger problem is I don't understand my DX6e , there doesn't seem to be any simple tutorials for setting up new planes.. I found your instruction from another video and started setting it up with one aileron one flap, I'm limited to one channel for both flaps on Y harness, but they move opposite.. how do I reverse servo direction of one flap through the radio? I bought this plane used but if I was buying it new I would have got the non-flap version
Ok here is the one year review of the OMP Bighorn 49 with a bonus video at the end.

I think is just the cost of wood and demand.
@@FatGuyFliesRC Sounds reasonable. I suspect they are getting rid of old stock and planning to replace a lot of it anytime soon.

I just took mine up tonight the controls are crazy I dropped mine back to 40 as well
Either way same results. Gotta tame her.down unless of corse you want the extreme travel.
How did I miss this? Nice.
Its great plane! I really recommend her!
I run mine on 4 s. And 100 %. Throws and a lot of expo. Me so crazy. Like doing crazy stunts. Lol.
LOL
Nice plane..does it have nav lights ? Also i have some nice 3s 4500 mah packs...only slightly bigger then your 3200 3s packs...would they fit? Thanks
no those are easy lights I attached vis velcro. Yes a 3200 would fit.
