@@919003725979 I pity you because, with this mindset, you can never feel and experience this divine music. You are insulting many of our music sages who followed Islam.
Although I do not like classical lenghthy ragas but Swami DR Parvatikar rudraveena gave me great divine solace, and got interested in his instrumental music. Thanks for sharing.
This comment is in appreciation of your continued diligence and selfless act of sharing so much music over the years. There is absolutely no doubt you have changed many lives. You have introduced myself and many others to new artists, as music allows for exploration of different states of mind. Allowing one to join into the one. Thank you " Raga Mela " you have done us all a great service. It is greatly appreciated, no words.
This work is undertaken as the fulfillment of the collector Kailash Ray, who died last year. He requested me to continue these postings from his collection as long as possible. I am grateful for your kind words!
I feel myself lucky to have stumbled upon such a gem of Indian music. Cant express how I felt while listening to this masterpiece. Thank you so much Raga Mela.
"entaro Mahanubhava" - Saint Tyagaraja when he was awed by singing genius of a visitor of his , who didn't think much of his singing abilities- I keep tuning into the Greats such as Ustad Asad Ali Khan, and such, it was so humbling to stumble into this piece! Thank you so much for posting this gem!
Hi! I am ignorant of what the veena is but there is an instrument in the mix that i am trying to identify. I can always try and google it later, of course, but am wondering whether you would mind describing it to me. 🙏✌️ Edit: i can see it says "Dattatreya Vina" and i feel like it's a stupid question, but sometimes you have to ask stupid questions to learn about interesting things properly. I'm now guessing it's something to do with the song form and not an instrument. Cheers!
Not only gorgeous and celestial 🌌, there's also a really interesting use of distortion on this track as well as melody! 👌 I am not familiar with (aka, I am ignorant of) both this particular raga and this musician - but it strikes me as unusual! Either there's a bunch of relevant musical stuff I don't know about in terms of ragas (possible/likely) - but it strikes me as really unusual and incredibly interesting! It's that combination of transcendental melody with the rippling distortion which has absolutely drawn me in. (Any recommendations from yourself or anyone else for similar favourite pieces would be awesome!) Distortion or discordance - I don't mean recording artefacts, or dodgy effects, but a wonderful effect in combination with melody. There's at least one instrument here i can't identify unfortunately. Thanks to the uploader! 🙏✌️ I particularly love how ragas have such a long format when you don't want a song that will be over in 5 minutes, how they can suit so many different moods, and how they can lift you out of the present and transform your mood. Love from Australia! 🐨🕉️✌️
No, not Surbahar - see the gourd over his shoulder. The foto is of the Rudra Veena & that is being played in the sudio too. But I think the instrument being played may be a "tweaked" Rudra Veena going by the Sitar like treble notes. What he called the Datta Veena (a combo of the Swarmandal (for drone) the Rudra Veena (bass) & the Sitar (for the treble).😊
Mughals from start to end were there for almost 100 years but all our middle age just talked about these invaders . Jwahar lal made Abdul Kalam Azad as first education minister and he made sure Indian kids are mind washed . Efforts are made to make India an Islamic country 😢
What about Bollywood ? Why blame politicians why not our own ancestors or parents our own community . We were busy in watching and following Bollywood movies .
We can call ourselves little great or blessed if we found this without searching 😊
Playing style is completely different, like one of it's own. Rarely seen someone move like this between notes. Absolute treasure. 👌🏻classic
Why our textbooks didn't have lessons on these yogis? I wish I had known them earlier.
Because of congress governments headed by islamic prime ministers.
