"As I was editing this video, Madhuvanti was expressing her disappointment in the rendition, feeling that she failed to capture the haunting and spooky nature of the raga. We listened to Zia Fariduddin Dagar's chandrakauns, during which she explained all of the subtle beauty of his performance. Then as I was sharing the final version today, Madhuvanti's youngest cat, Mr. Holy Radiance, climbed in her lap, reclined, and got his first erection while listening. Madhuvanti had been worried because he should've entered this stage of development months ago, so the combination of relief and amusement dramatically shifted the character of the raga. In a phone call with Vidushi Mita Nag that we had on the day of recording, she expressed another rasa of chandrakauns: yearning and longing for a lover. Absurdly, this experience with Mr. Holy Radiance captures this rasa well.
Even the most masterful musicians can't predict how their performances will turn out, nor can they predict how the audience will react. This is a fundamental reality to being a dhrupad musician." -Jimmy Sudekum
Its Male energy. Only meant for Men.
This is the kind of idiotic and sexist comments Madhuvanti constantly gets on this channel. Insecure men from around the world, but especially from India, choose to embarrass themselves publicly merely to put women down. It's pathetic.
😮😊 absolutely fabulous 🎼🎵🎶❤️🩹❤️🩹🎶🎵🙏🙏🧐😎🙃🤭
Haha, don't get left behind...
I've never seen an instrument like that in me life, sounds wonderful.
Only a beautiful soul may play such beautiful and special instrument. God bless you Deva ji.
Thanks 😊 for sharing this wonderful music 🎶 with the amazing instrument. 👏 ❤💖🤗🇮🇳
You're very very very hard working mam. Keep it up for life. Sakshat Saraswati 🙏🏻🙏🏻👌🏻👌🏻
I’d argue that her style is more aligned with the unapologetic self-expression and ungovernable individuality embodied by Bianca Del Rio, Jinkx Monsoon, and Violet Chachki rather than the more traditional reverence of Saraswati!
Thank you for sharing your wonderfully played music on your beautiful instrument. You make such amazing sounds and play with such passion it is an absolute joy to see and hear. Blessings sent your way. 😁👍❤️🙏🏻🇬🇧
@@YOy-b4z thank you 🇮🇳🏳️🌈🐈⬛🐈🕊️🐦🔥🐾🦚🐉
Comforting and warm tonal conversation. Your production has moved up a notch with the lighting and focus and multi cameras, good job .
That’s all thanks to Jimmy who’s in India living with me right now. A performer can’t be monitoring multiple cameras and audio while performing this music. Won’t you agree? So, having someone who knows what he’s doing and who knows this music really helps.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful sound you make - it is very unique, soulful and full of talent - I love the fusion you bring into it 🙏🧡✨
Super quality as usual , and the cameras angles are great , wonderfull ... wishing more of this kind of live , and longer length... Anyway , it is magical , this quality of sound, performer, the shrutis ... all is so precise , accurate ... Beautifull
Thanks so much ✨🙏✨ Koop Shundare
My husband says, it's like yoga for his nervous system 😊
I like it as ever, you are the best in this kind of music
Well if Mr Holy Radiance liked it then how couldn’t I 😹🙏🏻❤️🐈⬛
Truly though, thanks for the rendition of Raag Chandrakauns, it is beautiful. I wish my cat was still around to hear this 🙏🏻❤️
Love the tone of this veena! It is different from the veena you were using during COVID years. Such great gayaki - sounds like the late great Ustad Fahimuddin Dagar singing.
Praise Be to Our Madhuvanti!
thanks so much for posting these full performances.
they’re well produced too!
Beautiful all of you
thanks
Really enjoying all of your videos, thank you so much!

After 2 years of break finally ma'am is again consistent... Thank youuu for that (I literally replayed each music about 15-20 times and I was like ab kuch naya chaiye yaarr), and finally getting more rudra veena covers. They are outstanding ma'am. Zindagi mein kabhi na kabhi aapse ye instrument sikhna hai mujhe, let's hope wo time jaldi aayega ❤️. And ma'am you nail each performances 🙏

Another exquisite performance. Thanks and best wishes for your future. :}
It’s like something an alien race with huge brains would listen to. I can’t help but think Jimi Hendrix would be ecstatic. Fabulous.
🙏💙 I see you
Another thing to add to the majesty of this performance - I believe this may have been recorded on a New Moon?
Incredibubble 🎶💚
It's a very unusual looking instrument and unusual sounding .😊
Pranam ❤️🙏🏼
Wah ji wah ❤❤❤

❤
Okay, okay.. lets listen to new rock n roll joint

can you hymn while playing it or sing? try it out
@@divyanshuupadhyay992 listen to my ex husband Murali Mohan Gowda. He is a master of singing while playing and the one you should be listening to, not mere mortal women like me who should not be playing this instrument. 🙏🏼

❤🙌🙏🪷
tfw cant tell which part of the title is the artist, the song, and the instrument 😭
Sounds like the instrument Muriel had in “Courage the Cowardly Dog”
🤲🤲🤲
Madhuvanti, does the Indian government try to protect and encourage the playing of the rudraveena? I see on the Internet that is an endangered art form. 😮
In the current crop of rudraveena players it is the Indian women that move me the most. Do boys and men fear the instrument? The women are fearless in their playing. They have the heart of Durga. ❤
