Hi,JASPER! Regarding the two storeied beds to dogs, please just split it into 2 and both of them will ger a comfortable resting place. And secondly, digging is a very hard work. Please have a rest and cut the grass in yours garden. Mab you'll find the proper place to the small garden....

Maybe think first...then start lifting--I like digging...like I said I always get at least two laughs out of your videos! It's wonderful seeing you smile and laugh again. The old Jasper is productive and happy. You have such a wonderful place to live and all the properties that have potential...and of course a new coffee machine....what a life!

Your getting there with the trench, like the direction down the boundary fencing to keep the trees fed in the dryer weather when rain is scarce and the good physical work is always a positive.

It'll be ok to chop those tree roots, Jasper, especially if you are going to move it in the future. 😊

Hey, Jasper. I feel your pain. I've just helped a friend plant 4,000 hedge trees. My body hated me for a while, but then it became at one with nature. Not really. Ached like a b#@ch.

olive trees are very resilient. cutting through those few roots wont damage the tree. if your going to move it later they wood still need to be cut. ive seen people replant olive trees with very few roots on them and theyve surprisingly survived.

diging is zen once you get in harmony and acheive a state of mindfulness - just digging no thinking - its great therapy - just doing - poetry in motion - it connects you toally to the earth

Those roots will continue to cause you pain, take the tree out. It’s to close to the house. Love watching you every day. ❤ And I apologize for saying the dogs wouldn’t use their new bed, I stand corrected! 💞

Okay, everyone has suggested it before, - we know - and we understood that the Doug is just too much of a sloppy craftsman to be working near the building wall, but why not use him to open the rest of the trench up through the yard? I am just amazed at how much stone and slate there is laying around-it seems to be everywhere. If there is no more groundwater and all the water is runoff from the roof, why not use ceramic pipes that you can attach to a square cement drain box at the end of the drain to route the water away? Or, if there is still a lot of groundwater passing down between the buildings, then use a semi-permeable plastic pipe to allow the ground water to flow into it and then away to the backyard? If not endearing yourself, then you really are ingraining yourself into Portuguese folklore with these transformations.

Zen and heavy digging. You have to dig you digging. What about if you do your editing over a spinning-cycle? "Exersice bike" wuith small table for laptop? Could spin and edit? Saw that "collection" of keys. What about if you puchase a bunch of modern door-locks with same serial type, like 25 locks and you have like 5 keys fits all, and then 2 keys to fit on one, so 50 keys like that. So you have and are the master, but could give one key for the some other person for spot/room/house/ etc? and having the spare still. Those "southern lockings" are a mess...

If you don't cut those large roots, they will send suckers out looking for water and destroy the French drain! 🤯

I don’t know if they have that machine that I’m thinking about but it’s called a ditch witch and you run it by hand and it’s a digger. It might help your back a little if you can find it to rent. I’m sure your buddy could find it. Good luck. I’m sure that’s not only the digging you’ll be have to doing so it would be a good thing to get.

Well, interesting collection of stones...some are huge...you could build a set of picnic tables and banches in the garden, with a path of slates in the grass... your trench ending in a basin...Rustic caveman style.... or luxury B and B...An old Sicilien said, the bigger the olive trees are the most chance you have to find a spring besides or under....A bit late to say, after these few days, but take a little bit care with what ’s left of your back!😂😂😂

Well, with all the granite that’s around there I doubt of a ditch which will help sorry just thinking I’m from a construction family. I have brickies carpenter drywaller’s framers in my family and I helped them at times when I was younger, so I’ve learned a little don’t have the back for it anymore.
