    That's why Nikola is the man. Even his bad games are usually decent by other's standards. When he wins, he pumps up the coaching staff and teammates. When he loses, he says we or me while explaining the blame. He doesn't team hop; we never hear about him demanding the organization trade for this guy or that. All the stuff we say we want in a player, this guy checks the boxes. Made mistakes in this series, but was still by far, the statistical best player on the court.

    The Nuggets are, essentially, the greatness of Jokic, surrounded by an average supporting cast. Murray is streaky, and surprisingly proved to be a baby. MPJ is average but hasnt improved, and Gordon is a good, complementary (classy) player.
    If you lined up players on both teams, and picked them, Jokic would the first pick followed by Edwards, Towns and Gobert. Murray may come next, followed by McDaniels and Reid. The Wolves were a little better.

    I was getting so upset watching the 4th quarter of game 7. Jokic had no help. He’d pass it to Gordon or Murray and they would panic and pass it right back to him. It didn’t seem like there were many adjustments from the coaching staff for this either. I felt like everyone left Jokic hanging. He’s great, but it’s a 5 player roster for a reason.

    @truthbrotha1244 Місяць тому +26

    LMAO That comment was so directed at the front office. Why did he have to play his starters so much late into the season? Their bench isn't good enough to lighten the load in-game, nor are they good enough to help them separate from the pack in terms of regular season record. The issue is that Michael Porter Jr. gets paid like an 18-20ppg third option, but he averaged 10.5 in this series (and he struggled in the Miami series last year, due to the physicality). The difference? Bruce Brown, who closed all those games. It's that simple. The issue is that they have no flexibility, short of trading Michael Porter Jr., so he can complain all he wants... it doesn't change the reality of their salary holds.

    • @donie-rg4cy
      @donie-rg4cy Місяць тому +2

      I think Jamal is even a bigger problem than Porter. Max player with not even one signature game in this playoffs

    • @truthbrotha1244
      @truthbrotha1244 Місяць тому +1

      @@donie-rg4cy Respectfully disagree. He was playing injured all playoffs. Luka Doncic is playing hurt too, but he's a much bigger player than Jamal Murray, so he can make up for his lack of his normal explosiveness through physical strength. Plus, Luka is on another level skill-wise... but Jamal is a fantastic playoff performer. If he wasn't hurt, there's no way Anthony Edwards guards him as well as he did. But again, lack of a bench tired him out all season, and we all know Jamal Murray's injury issues of the past. My two cents.

    • @donie-rg4cy
      @donie-rg4cy Місяць тому

      @@truthbrotha1244 Jamal started the season with hamstring issues and then he got couple of different injuries during the season. He played only 59 games so he definitely didn't carry any load of the short bench, on the contrary he put even more weight on the starters. Denver already wasted two years of Jokic's prime when Jamal didn't play in the playoffs so in order for him to be useful, he has to be consistent when he plays and he's not. And imo he had terrible playoffs this year. You can't go far in playoffs when your number 2 shooting 40% and 31.5% from three on 21 attempts per game. And while most of the good guards find another ways to affect games when shoots don't go in, like great defense, getting to the free throw line, playmaking....Jamal couldn't do any of that. He averaged 2.2 attempts from free throws, playmaking was below average or average at best and he can't guard anybody. That's why I'm saying he's even a bigger problem. Denver has become so dependable on him because when he shoots poorly, he's useless and that's hurting the team tremendously

Come back from 0-2 and at home playing seventh game with only two players scoring 69/90 points. MPJ played very badly, a player with a max contract who has only one shot for 3 points in his arsenal and that's a great shot...but everything else is a clean 0. Trade MPJ and keep KCP =Denver can easily win another title.

      @@lazarperic4525 I watched the whole game. I'm not glazing anybody. I simply disagree with the notion that he didn't show up. I feel like only he and Jokic showed up in that game. The next highest scorer on the team was MPJ with 7 points. Jamal cooled off in scoring but at least he stayed aggressive. MPJ saw that his 3s weren't falling but instead of him to take more drives, he kept trying more 3s. Jokic did the same, tbh. Had like 2/10 from deep, and those 2 were in the 4th quarter. But he was gassed, so I understand his. Don't understand why MPJ played like that.

    The other team got 14 extra FTs in game 7 alone. That not only gives the Wolves extra free points, gets Denver in foul trouble But even more impacful, it makes Denver's defense soft and weak as they know a foul will be called if you contest their shots too close. In the other hand Wolves could hack Denver every time and nothing was called. You know I am right but your brain won't admit it.

    You are talking out of your ass and do not understand context of why is this being said. You could also noted how "better team" won 3 games in a row, but it does not fits your video narrative.
    Both Mike Malone and Joker are saying the same thing in different words.
    Minesota IS better team. But more importantly front office let Bruce and Jeff go, and did nothing in trade deadline.
    That is why Nuggets had to play starters to the end of the season, that's why their starters are gassed, because they lost bench and have to play Jokic for 47 minutes in the last game.
