I agree with what you're saying, we do need to be accountable. Regarding your comment on what we listen to or watch and that it doesn't matter what you're putting into your body, I would say that it does - "Proverbs 4.23 Guard your heart more than anything else, because the source of your life flows from it." You can't leave a door wide open and expect nothing to enter. You can't leave your mind open to anything and expect not to get tempted by it.

I have watched the whole video I know all of this is TRUE! I confessed my sins to my pastor for the first time today. I went to the altar. I’m in a Baptist church and hardly anyone goes to the altar anymore. My lack of accountability has led me to where I am. The Holy Spirit has been telling me for months through my messages to go to the altar. I Did it once but without repentance and for healing and God did not do it to my knowledge. Today I went to the altar and feel like a weight has been lifted. I confessed to my pastor what I’ve been doing the past few months.Confess your sins to a trustworthy Christian. I confessed it to God but made no change and felt no change (when I did it for my gain). Now I’m truly making a change and God is going to be with me. I must keep in step with the Holy Spirit and so must us all. Please everyone I beg of you, let go of your pride and go to the altar. James 5:16 for confession to other Christians. I did not do this for healing this time but rather to let God know I’m sorry and do not want to keep living in such sin. It’s not a “Catholic thing” it’s something all Christians must do.

Really excellent stuff & a vital topic
Humbly speaking, I feel like you need to clarify what was said @ 7:00, it’s not called ignorance to watch what you listen to.
Our generation tends to minimize the effects of the content we consume & saying that “it’s not what your putting into your body that defiles you, it’s what comes out” completely excludes that fact that what comes out is very much related to what we’re putting in.
Our hearts defiles us when we stop paying attention to guarding it- and part of guarding your heart is being particular about what your consuming.

i saw those tiktok videos that talks about secular music can corrupt ones mind until you brought up that "what goes into someone’s mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth, that is what defiles them.” (Matthew 15:11) that makes so much sense. you wouldn't be tempted if you don't desire it in the first place. remember fellows, "the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak" (Matthew 26:41), and the only thing i could say is that if you feel like you're going to be tempted (the Holy Spirit is warning you) stay away from it. or if there is something that bounds you to sin, cut it out. again, "if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off" (Matthew 5:30).
from what I understand from this video is that don't always find something to blame if you fail. it's your fault why you fail because you let your flesh be tempted... but our God is so good he sent his only son to whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16) that it doesn't matter how many times you have fallen short to glory, as long as your heart desires him, you repent, you'll be forgiven. also, accept that we are weak and we can never overcome temptations all by ourselves, that we needed Him.
thank you for this video, brother. i pray that this will reach more fellows who are suffering with the same mindset and be freed with your help. God bless, brothers and sisters!
STAY STRONG. remember... if you fall back seven times, rise up eight times (Proverbs 24:16) and always keep in mind that you have HIM always to help you back up.

Watching this a little bit later than when it was posted. A much needed word and reminder of my accountability in my spiritual disciplines unto Jesus. Thank you for following the will of the Lord with all of your heart-it is so evident in the way you speak. It’s a bright light of hope in this current generation, and it is encouraging. I didn’t do too well this past week or so with reading my Bible. But as it’s currently Monday, I set out to be accountable in my walk with God and to do the best I can by the power of His Spirit to meet with Him in the secret place and grasp all of the sweetness that He has for me in His Word. God bless you, Braxten.

So, God has been directing me for a while now to either jump into James or 1st Corinthians. So today instead of going to my usual devotionals, I read through the first chapter of James. This was before I even saw your video. It was amazing when you started reciting scripture from James and telling us to read it! That book is filled with so many amazing practical statements. Meanwhile, I’ve been diving into watching the Harry Potter series with my wife. And I felt as if I was beginning to be convicted by that because of the subject matter of the series. And God might be speaking to me about that, but then you said the scripture about what defiles a person isn’t what comes in but comes out. And it’s not like I’m wanting to become a wizard or anything😂. So we’ll see what happens with that. All this to say thank you for what you do Braxton. I’m 22 and I’m amazed how God uses a 19-year-old like yourself. You’re awesome! Hopefully I’ll get to meet you one day! Rock on and God bless!
