This video really helped me out. I realised I was doing things wrong. It hasn't been long since I started my walk with Jesus, and I am currently struggling a lot with quitting video games. I know they are not bad, but I spend way too much of my time in those games instead of giving that time to learning The Word or to get to know God more. And today specially I was trying not to fall into that but for some reason I just couldn't seem to be able to. All the time thinking about it and I couldn't think of anything else, because the more I focused on stoping those thoughts, the more thoughts I had about it. Then I saw your video and just clicked because I felt like I had to. And now I realise why. You made me realise that I was doing it the wrong way. Thank you very much. I will pray for you, may God keep on using you to help other people like me on their walk with Jesus. God bless you and everyone in here reading this. :))

The bit at the end about capturing thoughts was so helpful to me. I struggle with intrusive, distracting, and/or tempting thoughts and have been praying about how to deal with them because, as you said, you can't stop thinking. You can't turn your brain off. It's like being told "don't think about a big pink elephant". Well, now you're thinking of one anyway. Trying to tell myself "Don't think this thing, you know it's wrong" does not work. Thanking God for this video because it is exactly what I need to hear. He's so good. Appreciate the work you do on here. Praying for you!

You are what you eat” has never made more sense Also I’m sending lots of prayers, I’ve been feeling the same weirdly enough, I think the spiritual attacks get more intense as you walk deeper with God. the devil has nothing else better to do besides mess with your passions God put on your heart. Take your time, get lots of sleep and give yourself some grace. Journaling random things has helped me get back into the present and reset my mind abit. About 2 days ago I had a thought while sweeping and worshiping, "why haven't I seen any recent video from House of Jacob?" And then this video pops up on my "for you" today.. and it's exactly what I needed to hear as my mind has been my own enemy lately. Thank you!

Can the renewal of your mind effect feelings too? Like triggers ? My actions are pretty tuned but im not perfect, for me it’s always been my feelings, emotions. If the renewal of ones mind can effect emotions and feelings, I really pray for that. Pray for me please.

You didn’t upload late.. you uploaded just in time. God will use you even to speak to one single person and God moves things into place where that person is there at the right time to hear this.. I am that person. It’s 1:48 am and I’ve listened to so many “motivational” speakers but my spirit was feeling heavy and I was still trying to focus… then your video comes up and God used you to bring my thoughts back to Him for guidance and motivation. Thank you brother.

Glad I watched this video. I’m currently renewing my mind for my actions can be changed. I’ve been working on my laziness, all I do is lay in bed all day and be on my phone. My laziness is the reason I procrastinate a lot, never do things that need to be done, and it even drives me away from God. I always keep in mind about other sins that I do so I try my best to be careful and keep God in mind but didn’t realize that laziness is just as bad when I came across this verse that really got me, “A lazy person is just as bad as someone who destroys things.” Proverbs 18:9 and “To learn, you must love discipline” Proverbs 12:1

My stumbling blocks are definitely procrastination, avoidance and lack of accountability. When I fall into these things, I tend to come onto my phone and watch UA-cam video after UA-cam video on things I’m interested in to distract myself from the inevitable tasks. I’ve tried convincing myself it’s okay because I’m learning more about Christianity or politics or other important things but it’s taking me away from my responsibilities. I think I have ADHD and so feel like most of the time I need stimulation to be productive. It’s time to find new ways of stimulation that isn’t UA-cam….
