  • Mix Kriega’s luggage knowhow with Roland Sands’ artistic flair and you get a seriously cool riding rucksack.
The Kriega RSD Roam 34 starts out as a roomy 26-litre rucksack that’ll hold enough stuff for an overnight stop. Whip the expansion zip open and it’ll grow into a 34-litre bag big enough to swallow a full-face helmet.
With a waterproof inner section for a laptop, room for a hydration pack and Kriega’s Quadloc Lite harness to help prevent shoulder and backache, both style and practicality are covered.

One comment I will make that I have not seen in any review. The space between the two shoulder straps at the neck area is nice and wide. This is unlike several moto backpacks I've had including the Velomacchi Speedway 40 that I had to sell because the shoulder straps squeezed my neck. Awesome backpack.

I have lots of Kriega backpacks of varying sizes but the Max28 is the one I use the most. For commuting it is perfect, can keep it relatively slim but expands perfectly if you need to stop at the shops for beer etc on way home. This Roland Sands version looks to address the only little niggles with the Max28 - having outside pockets and the straps retainers to stop the straps dangling underneath. I pulled some strap retainers off a US drybag to sort this. They are both heavy bags but the weight disappears when worn. If I didn't already have my Max28 I would definitely buy this one. I think it looks better too. Great review

The point about being able to strap it to a rack etc is a really interesting one, hadn't clocked that extra strap as an additional feature Vs the Max28.

Expensive but if you want the best you have to pay a premium. I don’t have any regrets about buying my Kriega US30 and US10 bags and SBS still provide the best customer service 👍🏼
