We just purchased a 2024 Entegra Odyssey 24B this month and both empty drawers next to the pantry popped open on the drive home from the RV sales place. We have already purchased drawer and cabinet magnets (90 lbs) to install on all the doors and drawers. I do wish Entegra would install stronger clasps on all the drawers and doors. Our likes and dislikes are very similar to yours. We purchased this 24B knowing that it did not have a couch so we purchased an umbrella folding loveseat and use it as our couch when watching the TV next to the dinette. We also purchased small foam pads to place under the loveseat’s 6 legs so we won’t scratch the floor. The umbrella loveseat came with a carrying bag that fits neatly on the over cab bunk. There is definitely plenty of space in the RV to accommodate the folding loveseat.
Sara, thank you for watching and congrats on your 24b! Yes, those clasps are just not strong enough. Magnets are the trick. Be wary of the drivers side bedroom wardrobe drawers as the pop out and if you’re not aware and put the slide out . . . For extra seating I would spin passenger seat around and use the booster cushion like an ottoman. All the best and enjoy!
I just purchased a 2024 Entegra Odyssey 24B this year. It was a downsize for me from a class A that my guy and I drove. I had all the same dislikes as you discussed, however, I also don't like the travel mode when it comes to using the bathroom. UGH! the folded bed rests in a spot that makes me have to squeeze into the bathroom. It's only me now and two dogs. One dog likes to ride shotgun and the German Shepherd likes to ride on the bed to keep an eye on the entire space. The bed is set so she cannot maneuver onto it and she paces between the sofa and a doggie bed on the floor near the base of the bed. I'm about to slice off that thick part of the bed. I'm only 5'3" so it works for me in size. Also, when in travel mode, god forbid I have to access the fuse box, they need to move that to a location that is either in an outdoor panel for easy access or not put it behind the bed... sort of like your comment on the water filter, which by the way, thanks for pointing that out to me. hahahaa. Since I'm now a widow and traveling on my own, I want everything to be easy to manage. Thank you for your honesty. It has actually taken me a couple of months to fall in love with this RV, and need to get the updated sway bar and little magnets for the cabinets. (I was wondering what that sound was while making turns driving)
Congrats on your 24b. It does have quirks. I ended up downsizing to a Class B Winnebago Travato 59k which has worked great for me. Wishing you the best!
Great video. Thank you. I’m shopping for my RV presently. I’m interested in the Entegra and Jayco. Both are decent and seem to be quality builds. I’ll be watching…Safe travels!😊
Thank you for watching. Take your time and when you do purchase, go over the rig totally. Work the slide. The levelers. Check outlets. Water with and without pump. Etc. Good luck and all the best!
Oh great video Mike! Very informative, After hundreds of back-and-forth comparing videos, studying & analyzing rigs for about four years and checking Matt's videos reviews, I felt confident enough to pull the trigger on a Entegra Coach Esteem 31F, what I liked best was the upper bunk over the cab, functional, roomie, big w/it's huge windshield, the best! However, I must say, the upper cab that I liked most was on the Magnitude 31F and Omni BB35, Little bigger and a screen more functional and sturdier, but along with that a $35,000 + price tag! Had to settle with what I chose! Thanks for sharing friend! 🍺👍🏻
Good info. I totally agree with you. Especially with the safety plus. BTW- I think our skylight has some wiring connected to fan switch in bathroom we used for our fantastic fans ( they are a must!) We are having 2 Expion 120 amp hour lithium added and they are going to find a way hopefully to make them fit under the step. The Lion Energy Lithium will fit but I went with Expion as they are made in US and fit the rest of my system better. Thanks for all of your tips. The water heater info was very valuable!
Sounds great on Lithium Dont forget youll neeed a new converter as the stock one is not for Lithium batteries. What skylight are you referring to? I have one in shower and one over bed.
@@ChippersIslandAdventures The skylight for us is over our bed in the 25R yours appears to be in same area. Also the progressive dynamics charger in 2021 should have lithium ion setting. Just need to remove cover and flip from “LA” to “LI”. Good Luck and the fantastic fans work great.
Appreciate your walk through and sharing. The EZ ride stabilizers etc a big surprise on White knuckle driving. Glad the aftermarket parts made much better. Those roof cracks a concern too.
Love the video Mike! Great ideas for improving weak points on the motorhome. We had a larger Jayco Class C and sold it during the pandemic. Just went to the Cleveland RV Show last week and looked at the Entegra 24B.
Great info, thanks. We are looking at this unit, our number 1 choice. Outside storage is only concern as we have gravity chairs and a few other items. We also want to upgrade solar and eventually do some suspension work. Thanks
Great channel Mike! I got a 2022 24B in August and I have been following you and I am in the process of doing just about all of your upgrades in my rig. I agree it is the perfect sized rig. I have met many people already in RV parks with much bigger rigs saying that they want to get something more in this size. I am going to have the SafeTPlus steering stabilizer installed within the next couple of weeks, but I am going to wait on the sway bars and see how that goes. I also did not like how you could not get at the valves of the rear outside tires, but I finally got that resolved with the right valve extensions. I had a small leak in my roof already, General RV had it for a month, and finally found it coming in at the satellite antenna. It is winter storage time here in MI but my wife and I are looking forward to many epic adventures. Maybe we'll see you out there sometime!
Hi Tom. Thank u for following and watching. I will be out in Michigan at some point. I was just there in August. You can see the trip in my Video The Loop pt. 2. Though a bit pricey, I’m thinking about coating the entire roof with RV Armor or something like that. Definitely will install a Maxx air fan. More to come!
The RV Armor is a great ideA to give peace of mind. I may do it but had not yet as I wanted to install the Maxx Air and possibly solar prior to. It’s a great product albeit a little pricey.
@@chuckpotter1209 If you are going to do Flex Armor at all, you are going to do the whole roof, not part. In my case, I had two roof leaks in the first 8 months. The first took a while to find and they wanted to quit trying. The second they never found. With Flex Armor, they provide a lifetime guarantee, and you don't have to worry about 2X/year maintenance and caulking roof components and such. Yeah pricey, but totally worth it.
We had a Lance camper and thinking about moving up to a class c. These dislikes you have I never had on my Lance….very good build quality and components. These things would drive me nuts but I guess there’s no perfect RV. 😕. New subscriber….keep the vids coming.
Thank u for watching. I believe, as you know I’m sure, an RV purchases comes with some sacrifice. Some of my dislikes come with the size. I wanted small, but not too small. I could have got a north/south bed in a 25 but it’s a corner bed. Not for me. And the 26D has limited storage. So, all in all, I’m happy with what I have. All the best!
Thank you for your information. That's some extremely serious issues for someone going to buy one of these. You don't want to spend that kind of money to have to do upgrades it should already be that way. Dang. So many good things but the serious problems are the most important things that should be taken care of before you purchase.
Thanks Mike! This is one of my top 3 RV's. Hopefully, Entegra/Jayco will do those upgrades on the fan, water filter placement, outside storage, and roof. The size is really good for me as one person most of the time traveling. How is the gas mileage? Is the engine a 350 or 450 on the Ford chassis? Keep on keepin' on!
It’s an E-450. Great engine. The rig is great overall. I really put it thru a test with 8000 miles in 6 months. The 2022s have some improvements. Bear in mind, this is one of the cheapest for its size. So, with that done upgrades you will have to do. All the best!
I should add, 10 miles to gallon is about average across the board. Regardless of things I pointed out, I’m still very happy with 24b. And, 2022 comes with inverter and Winegard WiFi
Thanks for the Safety Plus recommendation. I agree with the poor handling of the RV. I had an easier time with my 33’ Imagine TT and Ram 2500 Laramie I was accustomed to driving. I’ll add that to my service.

@@ChippersIslandAdventures Thank you. We purchased our 24b in October and have learned a lot from your videos. FYI, I found a good storage compartment lock replacement that works. After upgrading to the combination RVLock I tried their cargo compartment lock and it works if you use their shim on the outside. Also, the door lock replacement was not a 10 minute job as advertised. Door had to be trimmed and the alignment pins had to be adjusted out. But it does work great and they will key the cargo locks to match the door. Keep up the good work.
Great videos! On the hunt for a short class C. Worried about outside storage. Have a 3 burner camp chef stove I want to take. Do you have the dimensions of the outside storage compartments? Also, have you towed with it?
Thank you for watching. I have not towed with it but many do. The camp chef stove would probably fit in the driver side rear compartment. That is where I put my chairs, mat, and 17” blackstone.
Thank you for watching. I have now sold the 24B but I was getting about 10 mpg. This is using cruise control whenever I could along with doing about 60-65 average speed. All the best!
@@ChippersIslandAdventures Oh! I was kinda expecting a little better than 10mpg! I'm now really rethinking what we travel with as the Sprinter and Transit chassis Class Cs don't have sufficient OCCC for us the way they build them with heavy slides and all the gizmos. Was looking at the E450 chassis with the newer 7.3L motor hoping that it was much more economical than our old V10 but now perhaps we need to look at a half ton diesel like the Chevy/GMC towing a small trailer instead. May I ask why you sold the Odyssey? You seemed to really like it! Did you buy a different rig? EDIT. I went to your channel and saw the video explaining that you went to. Travato Class B. A friend has one. We considered it but two large adults was too much for that space. Nice rig. Enjoy!
Tim, thank you for watching. I got Safe-t-Plus and had it installed at the factory outside Atlanta. While there I had them put on the sway bars which I believe are Helwig. Big difference in ride. I did a video of it. Not the greatest but worth watching. Good luck and all the best!
It seems the slideout is very long and and with a somewhat poor history of Schwintek systems. There is a lot of storage like you mentioned but if it were all full that seems like too much weight. Are there any concerns from your Facebook members or yourself with the slideout having problems with the weight?
Chuck, thank you for watching. Your points are certainly valid. So far, my slide has been fine. As for other members, feel free to ask on the FB site. The good thing is that the wardrobe is not on a slide which is a fair amount of storage.
Mike, Cap'n you tell me the width from the your cabinet to your dinette? I saw 2 runners. You said they were 36 inches each. 72 inches total. They look like 24 inch runners. I ordered my 24b and don't have it yet. Found a 5x8 rug that measures 5'3 wide. Can you measure that space for me for a fit? Great video.
Dave, I was guesstimating. They’re probably about 30”wide. I wish I could measure but my rig is in storage. Are you on Facebook. I have a page on there dedicated to Odyssey’s. Ask to join. And once in, ask question. Almost 800 members. You’ll get all kinds of info. It’s a big space!
@@ChippersIslandAdventures I ordered 2022 Greyhawk 27U with Dual AC , But want to put the dual way max air in the bathroom. I've fixed countless poor quality installation of components, Wiring, Caulking, Suspension, Etc. The hydraulic leveling jacks lines, Undercarriage wiring (for everything), Holding tank mounts, And water lines are in dire need of sheathing and proper attachment to frame/body.
I think buying a rig is like buying a house. But worse. By that I mean there’s a lot of poor craftsmanship that needs addressing. Once you do, get it squared away, it’s awesome. Be careful of the deluxe maxx air in bathroom as I think the steam from shower may trigger it to close. I’m going to install in bed and channel wires to bathroom.

Do you have links?
@@ChippersIslandAdventures They only sell one storage compartment lock replacement.
What company or website. I’ve thought about changing my compartment locks. We sh they were slam latch
What about the generator mine won’t run if the truck is at half tank
It should run till 1/4 tank.
What mpg do you get and at what speed? I have the old V10 and she's a thirsty old girl even at 60 mph.
Nice rig. Enjoy!
I'm getting one of these coaches. My question is, what sway bar and stabilizer did you get that you like. Thanks
Tim, thank you for watching. I got Safe-t-Plus and had it installed at the factory outside Atlanta. While there I had them put on the sway bars which I believe are Helwig. Big difference in ride. I did a video of it. Not the greatest but worth watching. Good luck and all the best!
@@ChippersIslandAdventures thanks for the feed back.
Where is slide out control box in the 24B Odyssey?
It’s under the wardrobe.
Does it come w white interior rather than the dark brown ???
I’m not sure. I would check the Entegra site. All the best!
Yes !.
What kind of gas mileage do u get?
On average I’m getting 16.6 to 16.9. I use cruise control a lot and tend to do posted speed limits. All the best!
@@ChippersIslandAdventures thank you. Will do.
How much is this rig?
R u interested in purchasing?
Nice job
Thanks!
good job
You say you’re happy with what you paid, what did you pay?
This video is 3 years old. The price I paid is far less than today’s. All the best!
They need to make them better
Thank you for watching and yes, quality control and quality in general need to improve. All the best!
That's a fart fan...not a warm/cold air mover! The automatic reversible max fan wouldn't really work well in the bathroom anyways!
It moves some air. I’m going to put a Maxxair deluxe fan over the bed. I’ve already established the channel to run wires back to bathroom fan.
@@ChippersIslandAdventures I ordered 2022 Greyhawk 27U with Dual AC , But want to put the dual way max air in the bathroom.
I've fixed countless poor quality installation of components, Wiring, Caulking, Suspension, Etc. Spent 2 months working on it on side of house getting ready for our first trip...which we just got back from. Event free...but many tasks to do as time goes on.
Thanks I was considering this brand and I think I will now pass.
Thank you for watching and all the best!
