Good brake downhill tip. It's the correct way to go down a grade safely.

Awesome video, Loved the info about braking, I have had a regular TT and a %th wheel, now looking into an Odyssey. This video really showed me a lot :) thank you.

Suggestion! Keep a hand on the wheel, it's disconcerting when you are driving hands-free. That said THANK YOU for finally explaining WHY to shift down. My husband does it all the time but never told me WHY. Also GREAT review! Thanks for opening all the doors and drawers and slide in/slide out. I want this RV all the more!

Just you mentioning about a place for my CPAP made it all worthwhile. Hadn’t thought about it before but it will help my decision. Thanks!

So...to add, very good bunk capacity, but you asked about if anyone had any comments regarding that slide and while I'm not a fan of slides , in particular with one this long my first reaction is that with a hole that large and long in the side of the whole structure, in order to retain some semblance of wall strength and structural integrity, there must be some very heavy and expensive steel framework. Possibly aluminum but that would add even more cost but at least make it somewhat lighter. In fact to help balance RV left to right weight, I think using a very expensive aluminum structure is almost a must on the left side. This is really going to add significant cost to any RV with a slide(s) but particularly ones with a long full length slide.
Other reasons I'm not a fan of slides is the extra reliance on manufacturer design and material choices to ensure rodent and weather breaches, open or closed. Then there's the extra limit-switching, motor(s), maintenance, greasing etc of the slider rails, and even the conspicuousness of parking on the side of the road for a tire change or rest area and having to open the slide for whatever reason, then Murphy's Law will be the time you either can't get it open, or worse.. can't get it closed.
Yes, spaciousness of them when open is simply wonderful but in that way I feel they make more sense on RVs that intend to spend more time parked than being driven. Units like this, admittedly very cool, 24B are more likely to be driven from site to site being on the go more often than parked.
Another thing I'm not a fan of is the ever increasing number of RVs being offered with outdoor speakers. Unless you're parked on your own in the wilderness, your TV program or choice of music is highly unlikely to be a welcomed ambiance to your camping neighbours. Imagine 6 or more other campers all trying to watch TV or a movie or listening to music, eventually turning up the volume more and more trying to drown out the noise from your neighbour. It's like going into a busy restaurant or sports bar and before you know there's a cacophony of yelling people all each struggling to be heard!
This outdoor entertainment system on an RV relies solely on the honour system...sort of how like internet was and STILL is designed around.. expecting strangers to be courteous or do the kind thing. Increasingly even in the RV world you can quickly discover selfish, rude, or plain ignorant people whose practices are the VERY type of thing you were hoping to leave behind in the city and is WHY you wanted to go RVing in the first place!
So, rather than totally rain on the outdoor entertainment parade here, I think ALL RVs that come with an outdoor entertainment option, should come with a control panel and/or Bluetooth that allows at least a minimum of 6 people to plug in and enjoy the movie in private, thereby not bothering other campers or each other. This way all a neighbour will hear at times while sitting around the campfire enjoying peacefulness and the sounds of crickets or other nature, is the occasional random laughter of others who all reacted to a particular scene in the movie. This type of intrusion is REALLY easy to take cuz you're simply witnessing other like-minded people enjoying themselves but in a manor that's so much easier to accept by the RVing crowd. And it's not constant noise.
The whole world seems to be getting noisier and noiser and I think the time has come for people to start dialing back their contributions to it. Especially those with aftermarket exhaust on every gasoline and diesel burning piece of machinery.
    Anyway...
For the record, your style and quality of content for reviewing an RV, I would rate as nothing less than excellent. If you'd like a random example, here's a perfect example. It's not too often you have a reviewer actually comment on how sturdy the shower floor pan is and the offering of the opinion that if need be, two could shower at the same time. That, and how quiet it goes down the road and the hugely expensive structure considerations for that enormous slide (assuming they've done it right and for years of trouble-free longevity) is where some of that $169000.00 comes into play. I have to admit this unit seems to be a full $40k more than I actually feel would be a fair price (in this particularly unique time period of high interest and tons of national debt) If I were to extrapolate further and if I was writing this in, let's say autumn of 2020 or at the latest, Mar of 2021I would have felt $80k max would have been fair.
Regarding your wondering if camera shake was going to be excessive on your test drive, it was exemplary. I'd say whatever you were using had very competent image stabilization circuitry.
When you decide to do decibel testing, I recommend ensuring all tires are at mfgr suggested psi and always try to test on same pavement type/location and if possible on a non windy day. Easy to say or suggest, but fairly challenging to execute of course.
Your test here was very very good in my opinion. Impressively detailed. I can't believe you've only had 3600 views. I think at some point it's probably going to explode in views. I know going forward, I will speak highly of it.
In regards to all of my comments and opinions, everyone's mileage may vary of course👍.

Thank you thoughts on the Odyssey 24B! I totally understand how you feel about the sliderooms. Also, due to covid sales RVs have gone up in price way to much. I think they will start to come done some! Thank you for your encouraging compliments!

At 10:29 I wonder what caused the blackened burn marks on the underside of the battery box covers? Nothing good I'm thinking 🤔😳

Hi Chad! Great review! Quick question - you mentioned manually shifting on hills during the test drive at end of video. Will using tow-haul mode accomplish this same thing, or is there another benefit to the manual shifting?

Tow-haul will help, but I’ve found that it isn’t always as aggress as I would like it to be.

I have a 2022 24b. If you keep your foot out of it, possibly 10-13 mpg. Depends on added weights, fuel, water gear and if your towing something. If so, high singles for sure
