So nice to see positive reviews of all the rides. That's how I was when I first visited. It just goes to show that you should NEVER believe spoiled, entitled enthusiasts who nit pick every possible thing about the park! Never judge until you ride the rides yourself! Great video.
Just took my son and his friend to Kings Island and Cedar Point. Both great parks!

I love Maverick. Definitely my favorite at that park. I am so glad you got to ride it! I actually always ride the mine ride. Lol it's not far from Maverick, generally has a short line and it seems a few degrees cooler than the rest of the park. Maybe because of the trees and lack of crowds. 😉
Right on! After riding any roller coaster, its nice to take a coffee break. Have fun at Cedar Point.

Thank you!!! Gatekeeper has been one of my favorites at cedar point ever since I first ride it! I don't understand the hate either. I also don't think it is forceless. I do think valravn is forceless however.
I'm in agreement with you. Gatekeeper is a solid coaster! My second favorite wing coaster behind on Thunderbird. Valravn is pretty blah... The only positive is really the third inversion on Valravn.
If I ever make it to Cedar Point, I'm for sure riding Steel Vengeance, Maverick, Millennium Force and Gatekeeper. They look like alot of fun

Pretty cool video. I was a teenager in the 1980s and went to Cedar Point with my mom, sister and stepfather. My sister and I had so much fun back then. We played some good pranks on our mean stepfather. He bullied my mom into riding a ride similar to Gravitron. She got sick on him. My sister and I laughed at him over it. He spent awhile trying to wash his shoes in the Men's room at Cedar Point. One of my favorite memories of youth at CP. In Ohio its usually humid and hot. Glad you had fun at Cedar Point.

My aunt, uncle and cousins rode the Mine Ride at CP. Back in 1979.
I went there with my whole family when we all had Fast Pass Plus! It’s been amazing. I can’t wait to go again!
Made my way out to cedar point when millennium opened, glad to hear it's still a top contender in today's coaster world! But I'm happier to hear tatsu is still Your fav flyer haha... Good!
Another thing I did was make my way out to Michigans great adventure using my knotts pass for entry. Getting a ride on shivering timbers was definitely a memoriable one!
I can't ride roller coasters any more. So its fun to watch this video.
Raptor hasn't been running with nylon wheels for a while, which is the main cause of the insanely loud roar. The ride is still running amazing with polyurethane wheels, but it's better with nylon.

Im originally from Michigan and we have made the trip to CP many times over the years! Still one of my favorite vacation spots. The Force and The Raptor are my favorite coasters still to this day but i love them all! Steel vengeance is wicked! Its been fun seeing your reactions as a new comer!

I used to know the person they owned the chick fil a up there but everyday he had to drive from canton to Sandusky. It took him 2 hr everyday so he had to sell it to someone else

My sister and I rode Blue Streak as young teens. It was fun.
I came from Australia back in 2005 to Cedar Point specifically to ride "Top Thrill Dragster".............so of course it was closed for maintenance at the time!! Hahahaha! Also rode "Rougarou" when it was the stand-up version called "Mantis". Was planning to come back to this park in 2020 to get "Steel Vengeance" in (rode it as the former "Mean Streak"), and possibly actually ride "Top Thrill Dragster", but we all know what happened then! Everything was cancelled.......Sooo jealous!! xxooxx (sub'd)

I grew up going to Cedar Point every summer and it's still my favorite "Amazement" park to this day. Magnum is also my favorite coaster. Question. What's the deal with row 3?

Cedar point is my home amusement park stay 2 hours away. I went recently I was on the rides screaming 😭 I can’t do it and the miIllenium force and them rides make you scared

In no universe is Valravn a better coaster than Maverick.
matthias Maverick is the most over hyped coaster on the planet and it doesn’t live up too it. Steel Vengeance killed that ride even more for me because it literally does the same things as maverick does but thousands of times better.

Nice first thoughts! Steel Vengeance, Maverick, Top Thrill Dragster, Millennium Force, and Magnum are all in my Top 20, with Steel Vengeance as my #1. Raptor and Gatekeeper are currently in my Top 50. No other park has 7 coasters in my top 50. Great park!

I’m also 6’ and I’ve only ever rode wicked Twister in the back row and not once have I had headbanging or a disappointing ride
Tell me why it took til cedar creek mine ride to realize the numbers weren't your ratings out of 100 but the number of the coaster credit
If you go again I suggest that you hit up the back of the park first and work your way up. It is very successful for us.

what do you like about cedar point?
For me?... it is EVERYTHING! I love so much about it that it is hard to express or pinpoint. I love the big things like the coasters, Peanuts, food, ect. And I love all the small things that many/no one else notices... things like: the unique sound of the park (a mangled menagerie of coasters rushing by, families enjoying themselves, seagulls calling, music, people enjoying the coasters, and more), the parking attendants, the "sweepers" (though they don't seem to be as prevalent as they used to be), the different smells.... there is just too much, I can't do it justice......

I'm so glad y'all had such a great visit to The Point! Smart move to duck out when you did. Not just 'cos of the wx and inevitable ops. shutdowns, but 'cos when you're that tired it ceases being fun. And fun IS the point of The Point, isn't it? For 150 years and counting...
To those of you, especially, who are coaster enthusiasts who haven't yet been but want to, my advice is GO! Save up for it! Take on a 2d job, sack lunch it for a year, get a roommate, start to Uber, WHATEVER! ! ! 'Cos. It's. WORTH. It.

Parks Bros lol but also your sooooo lucky to go to cp I only have like 40 credits under my belt because of southern ca parks and I neeed to go north and ride those rides and get a cedar fair pass next year because I might be traveling a little

Iron Dragon would be a great transition coaster for kids if the height requirement wasn't so high. My kids love Ninja but aren't tall enough for Iron Dragon. I never understood why Cedar Point put a higher height requirement on Iron Dragon.
Yeah, that's definitely a fair point. The height restriction is pretty ridiculously high for it.
I feel like Valravn, Gatekeeper, Steel Vengeance really put Cedar Point above Magic Mountain. I feel like Valravn and Gatekeeper is better than Riddler, Scream and Batman. And yeah Millennium stomps Goliath

Devin Schroath a dive coaster is a coaster with a 90 degree or more drop. It indeed is, it’s not a B&M dive coaster, it’s a Gerstlaur Dive Coaster.
Tuney Coasters nope that’s not an accurate definition. HangTime is an infinity coaster. Way too many defining elements that prevent it from being a dive coaster. 90 degree drop is just a drop. Also B&M happen to make the majority (if not all) five coasters, but that’s just cuz nobody else sees a need to. Check it on RCDB.
It’s been fashionable to criticize Cedar Point’s coasters for a while now. Gatekeeper is too thisss, Valravyn is too thattt, Millennium Forceless and Steel Vengeance is overrateddd…I guess it’s just human nature. Cedar Point is *the* Mecca for coaster geeks east of the Rockies…so certain people are going to line up and aim their piss at that parade for whatever reason. To be honest, I’m not even sure what that reason could be. The ONLY serious competition in the entire country is probably magic mountain.
