Great craftsmanship by a great teacher. I loved it. Firearms and rifle accuracy has been a passion for me for 57 years. Ive had to throttle it back many times in my lifetime. It can be very consuming in time and $$.
I gave the thumbs up and having taken three summers on precision rifle buiding and action blueprinting at TSJC and another summer session at Lassen College ( not in that order) your technique is solid and produces results. We know nothing about the owner/shooter behind your build but i can say for the average shooter/hunter his one three shot group is impressive. Most people think because of equipment anyone can accomplish that. And although one three shot group does not by any means tell the "real" consistency of the rifle it does speak of its possible potential. In a hunting configuration it would run with any of the 4.5 to 6.0k "factory" customs with maybe the exception of one manufacturer in Boise. Kudos to you Geoff.
Went to Trinidad for almost four years, two year course. Took every extra class I could. Even summer school. Learned a lot. Miss being close to the Whittington center
Enjoyed ! have you ever thought about bending a circle of say a 3/16 or 5/32 copper wire around the barrel where you have the brass plates in the four jaw contacting barrel so it would pivot easier ,seems the flat brass would tend to bind when dialing with the spider?
Yes, I have tried the "ring" method. Don't like it because the barrel shifts out of alignment too easily due to not enough surface area contact. The shims I use are soft brass and plenty narrow enough to allow sufficient pivoting of the barrel shank. I show in detail in future videos coming soon! Thank you for watching and for the support!!

Indeed! It's a fun but expensive hobby. I've learned that if it's done right, it's more affordable in the long run!
Man this is badass I really am blown away on the thread protector! Never have I seen one that slick. 👍 10/10 brother
Thanks 👍I appreciate you watching and for the nice comment!
WOW! That was awesome! The laughing after each shot says it all.
Nice rifle. Cool to see the extractor cut for the first time.
