He married his childhood sweetheart, Francis in 1998 and they had 5 girls. He run his own garage for 10 years before he lost it in the financial crash of 2008. He now works as a rep for a paper merchant company in slough.
What amuse me the most was the photo of him and Sir Alex during his signing. How much different it was from the day it started off with the day it's all end for him and United. Glad that they had reconciled now.
Just think how important this clip is. A lifelong Man Utd supporting London lad playing football far away from Old Trafford. And against all the odds and almost miracle like, he actually gets asked to go and play for them. This is some real life dream come through stuff. It must still be slightly surreal to him when he looks back on his career.

Can i ask does he ever go home, or do anything for his community? The others are dead set on making another local Manchester team successful in Salford near where they were born. I look at becks and wonder why Miami? Do the people of that city give any fucks about soccer? Does Becks have any connection with the people living there at all. I like him i just dont understand his career since retirement

My sister met him buying dog food for his mum and dad at Chingford Mount pet shop around the same time and he was friendly enough .. His mum and dad have split since then but im sure he still speaks to old school pals who live in Chingford.... We had a School reunion a few years ago organized on Facebook .. People were calling him out to turn up I was there he was a no show suprise suprise..

To be fair to the presenter and his George Best comparison it was not known at the time that George Best would not recover from the disease of alcoholism which would eventually shorten his life, and he was probably referring to what an outstandingly naturally talented footballer George Best “ended up” on the playing field for Manchester United.
