    Myzone, I prefer something that I put on for the workouts and then remove it. I do wear a Garmin watch that does heart rate but I don't tend to pay much attention to the numbers on it

    Triathlete and marathon runner here. Max HR 145!? - from CPET test (age 54 - it’s low I know!) Resting HR 44 avg - Garmin FR935 watch. I use Garmin chest strap for HR in workouts. Watch NOT accurate esp high HR. My anaerobic threshold is 139 - so not much room above that! Training Z2 is very tough for me. Usually I’m 120’s - 130’s for workouts. Intervals 139-145

    This was great and super easy to understand. Thankyou. :) More breakdown on the zones would be interesting. I find myself not feeling like i've done anything unless i've spent the majority of the workout in zone 4... But if I'm aiming for lean and strong what are the zones? I'd love to know how and when you use zones in your prep.

    This was great and answered a long standing question I had. Thanks so much. What is a good chest monitor to get?

    Thanks for the info! Is there a particular HR strap you guys like? I have a Polar H10 synced to Garmin and it doesn’t always read HR correctly (sometimes says I’m at 97bpm when I’m in zone 5). Super annoying. And yes, I’ll try to moisten the straps a bit for a good connection.

    I currently have a whoop. I’ve been thinking about purchasing a Garmin watch for awhile. Any recommendations?

    It always blows my mind seeing how low CrossFit athletes HR can be with runs or workouts that would totally break me. Is more Z2 work key to building that cardiovascular fitness that allows you to work for longer in the lower zones, even with the effort/load/pace?

    I got really gnarly anxiety, any tips? I’ve seen my rhr chill at 39 but when I’m anxious it’ll sit at 51, these deviations make it difficult to accurately track

    When doing the 3 round tests to find max heat rate (400m run/500m row), what is the level of effort? Is it full on sprint each time or something else? Also, Is there a comparable assault bike version for the test?

    • @Kristi-Eramo-OConnell
      @Kristi-Eramo-OConnell  5 місяців тому +2

      yes, they should be max efforts! assalt bike would be 2:00 max effort with the same rest!

    How does this differ from taking 180 minus your age as a benchmark to run in

    Have noticed my heart rate on my watch reads WAY high compared to a heart monitor.
