No matter who the killers are, I’m really excited for scream seven. Although I am rooting for Stu,😉 also, I love the idea of the mental hospital for an opening scene. There have been a lot of lackluster openings recently, and I feel like a scene like that could be an interesting alternative.

I'd love for the opening scene to feature the idea Kevin had for Scream 4: a 15-minute fight between her and Ghostface, ending with her unmasking the killer right after killing him. He also mentioned including a time jump afterward, which makes sense since there are rumors of a time jump for Sidney's eldest daughter to be old enough to join the main cast
Would Leslie have to be unknown to Sidney? Could her character be reaching out to Sidney for forgiveness or something? We also assume that a Macher would have to be seeking revenge like Mrs Loomis. Having a Macher would be a great (or maybe too obvious) red herring
Forgot to mention during the video...as a Scream 2 STAN, the clocktower/buildings on the right of the mural in the newsroom at 02:31 look a lot like Windsor College's campus. This could mean nothing, but they are shooting in Georgia (where Scream 2 was filmed) and I can't help but wonder whether there's a connection (I would be so happy lol).
I like scenario 2. I’ve always wanted a ghostface to be revealed early in the movie and trying to figure out who the other ghostface is the rest of the movie kinda of thing. But if ghostface gets caught by Sidney at the beginning that could set up the escape from the psychiatric hospital and that would be so epic. Like a silence of the lamb style escape. And it would be one or more ghostfaces that help it happen. Scenario 3 would definitely be a letdown since they have brought up mark since 5. We definitely need to get know mark so the sting of his demise really affects us. Scenario 4 wouldn’t work if Sam and Tara are not going to be in this one because they would definitely get involved if 2 of their core members or just 1 was to die. Idk how they would fit in this movie but I’m sure they have thought about that possible fallout if they kill the twins. Also a scenario that might the biggest shock of y’all would be Sidney getting killed in the opening. I don’t want that I love her and it would be the biggest gut punch ever for me. But it could very well happen if Neve Campbell is working on the Lincoln lawyer.
Scream 7 really does go back to what the Scream films are truly about meaning Scream and Scream 2. Kevin Williamson's script really inflicts what he does best and that is to create a solid horror film worthy of its original two predecessors with ample and clever kills, twists in the plot, plenty red herrings and a final finale/reveal that truly gives the viewer chills. Although the new movie has plenty fresh young stars with most surpassing the lack lustre core four ensembles of Scream 2022 and the shambles that was Scream 1V, its primary story and vision falls back on Sidney Prescott. Gail Weather's is back also and by that i mean she has some great witty dialogue on par with her feisty younger self in the original Scream and an incredibly intense sequence that takes place between herself and the killer/killers after a live broadcast she makes which involves her losing a limb to survive. The opening of the film is a combination of the brutality of the first movie with Casey Becker and the public aspect of the movie house killings in Scream 2 completely unique and never been done before in a horror movie simply put a NERVE-RACKING watch ! Thankfully Chad and Mindy are both perfectly executed (long over due if you ask me) in this instalment and once again Kevin goes for complete brutality in this one. Sidney is an absolute force throughout especially with her husband and children around hmmm. The best part however comes in the reveal of a foreign character who is lets just say mutilated both physically and mentally, and in my opinion even more disturbed than Billy Loomis and although Dewey is dead as we all know lets just say there is another Riley in the script and I don't mean Gale. Scream 7 delivers then peaks with absolute carnage! 20/10
I mean my dude, theres the throwaway line explanation for gale failing to recognize mrs loomis in 2. something about her losing weight and having work done, right? the same could apply to leslie. in fact, it would be logical for her to have work done in any case, like regardless of trying to infiltrate anyone, as she probably doesnt wanna be known as stu machers sister, etc.

I hope Scream 7 has better and more developed Ghostface(s). I really liked Scream 5 and 6 but the Ghostface reveals weren't the movie's strong suit. Outside of maybe Richie who was just a OK character in my opinion, the rest of the Ghostface's had minimal screen time before their reveal and we didn't get enough time with them as Ghostface either. i just felt very meh about them.
Martha, Chad, and Mindy immediately getting offed would be the next best thing to them not being in it at all. I want this movie as unconnected to 5 and 6 as possible.
Sorry but 5 and 6 are canon. It makes zero sense retconning any film in the franchise. Continuity is good. Besides some of us are fans of those sequels/characters and Kevin Williamson respects that

First off, Sidney did not have to know who Judy Hicks was in Scream 4 because she did not pose a threat to her. Do you think that Sidney, after what happened in Scream 2, wouldn't have investigated how the relatives of Billy, Stu, Mickey, and Roman looked? I believe she would have, because even in Scream 5, without being introduced, Sidney knows that Sam is Billy's daughter. 2. In Scream 5, it is mentioned that Google reveals who Leslie Macher is, wouldn't there be a photo of her? The characters, like the Meeks twins and the Carpenter girls, could know what the relatives of the victims look like in Scream 5 precisely because, after what happened in Scream 6, the relatives of the victims might be possible targets for future Ghostface attacks. 3. Most importantly, in Scream 6, it is mentioned that the events of Scream 5 were not adapted into a film but a crime documentary on Netflix. If the main attraction in the Scream 5 crimes is recreating the first installment of Stab, with Stu's nephew being one of the victims, wouldn't they have interviewed Leslie Macher or at least shown a photo of her mentioning that her son was killed for being Stu Macher's nephew? 4. If Hayden Panettiere participates, it is very likely that Kirby (a FBI agent) also knows what Leslie Macher looks like and possibly keeps an eye on her due to the potential retaliation from relatives of former Ghostface wanting revenge. I knew more of Scream 5 than Scream 6... The spoilers with that movie made me dislike the film. The beginning scene was great - one of my top but the spoilers made it bad for me. And it felt too fast paced.

Tara wasn't killed in the opening scene because it was a trick to get Sam to come back but I felt like with it being over a decade they could've had more death scenes and not try to do a remake. I like Scream 4 because it wasn't trying to be a remake, they were trying to reboot the franchise but it did feel like Scream 5 due to the pacing. I think like 4 because we got to see Sidney actually fighting the killers more and not running away or hiding. In Scream 5 the use of Sidney could've been used more but I understood why not - It really wasn't her story and I feel like the killers weren't targeting her, Gale, or Dewey until they got involved. I really hope Scream 7 gives us something FRESH and nothing recycled. (This is my favorite horror/slasher franchise because it's not the same person coming after the hero over and over. Anyone could be under the mask).
Stu Macher returning in Scream 3 was not Kevin's idea. They threw Stu in after Kevin was no longer involved. Kevin has gone over the details of his Scream 3 treatment. It was a Stab fanclub led by the school principal's daughter that were the killers. Not a cult and no Stu.
