He also admits to being on drugs for years, not that it is an excuse for creating the NAT club. Although the trauma caused by being gaslit by your parents into thinking your "brother" is your imaginary friend probably didn't help his decision-making ability. But he's the only one from the NAT club that changes and actively tries to help people. He helps at-risk youth and is rather "honest" when the liars question him. He's one of the characters I wish they invested more time in because he had the potential for so many interesting storylines with the Hastings or Cece. I would love to see him react to Alex Drake. I get that it probably came down to actor availability.

on september 17 2022 I started watching this video, I knew absolitely nothing about PLL. I got like half an hour in and I thought "mh, you know what? this show seems kinda cool, I could watch it" so I paused it and I asked my gf who used to be a big PLL fan when it first came out if she wanted to rewatch it together. Today, a WHOLE YEAR LATER, we watched the last episode. It took us ONE YEAR to get through the absolute madness this show is. And here I am now, 12 months and a whole lot of nonsense later, finally finishing this video.

Literally lmao they flew through that first book. But also to be fair, if you read them online, the books are super short. Idk what printing magic they used to make the physical books bigger, but the free ebook version has like 35 long pages of text each and is the entire book.

I just finished rewatching all 7 seasons and I'd definitely say watch it. It is such a wild ride! The writing is all over the place and there are SO MANY plotholes. But it is a genuinely entertaining show.

As soon as they got that realization it was stupid. But tbh the only logical way A could have known everything is if one of the core group was A. Even the actresses who played them were sure one of them was A. It was changed because the fan base hit it on the nose, but Marlene got offended they guessed it and went out of her way to make an unguessable plot twist that ruined the whole show.

The chaos of the show literally starting off with a slow zoom in to the barn on a stormy night and DONT TRUST ME by 3OH!3 playing aggressively loud makes sense. It just really set the tone for the rest of the show.

They wanted it to be a surprise but did it terribly. You can’t make a “ooh let’s guess who the baddie is” show and then get mad when people guess who the baddie is

One thing I've heard is that show writers opt for high school settings because it's more relatable to more people. Not everyone goes to college but most graduate high school. Also, I have always found the whole "Hollywood is full of pedophiles" thing to be insanely naive. Pedophilia is a bigger problem in most societies as much as that makes us uncomfortable. Even the actresses who played them were sure one of them was A. It was changed because the fan base hit it on the nose, but Marlene got offended they guessed it and went out of her way to make an unguessable plot twist that ruined the whole show.

Yeah I remember watching the show and not thinking it was weird at all and now I'm like shuddering thinking about it. When you're younger, it doesn't really seem weird to you, and doesn't help if media normalises it like this!

I was quite young when the showed aired but all the commercials that showed the teachers relationship with the students grossed me out
It would have been so simple and fixed so much if they had just made them college students. If they needed to be students they could at least not be minors, Ezra could be a TA and that whole storyline could still work.
