haahaha thansk! I like the spy the most myself for casual use, but the hobi plus give me a bit more secure feeling for night-time when I nee dto go out lol, just want to have throw at the same time, weird debating in the mind!

i wish they would make these using the lithium cells found in the smallest ecigs on the market. they are a bit smaller than 10440's but would seem to have a little more capacity and could push 300 lumens. the lack of mass for heatsink becomes a problem there but the high could be momentary turbo.
Usb rechargeable is kick butt. What about the mecarmy x4s and x series all together?

hahahha thanks!! it's a super great buy for sure, get them all is the best idea, but if you need to choose one, I would say jetbeam mini-1 is the best 1st buy, comes with everything you need and price is often on sales and super cheap, check the links in the dscription, I remmeber it was on flash-sales a while ago!

jetbeam mini-1 is the best out of all, to recommend to anyone, it's a full and professional package with good presentation. The others are nice, but not as good for gift. I carry the DQG hobi myself now, and feel it is just good because it is small and the beam is balance!

2 questions:
What do you consider a good EDC for a female?
And if you had to choose between the Klarus xt11s or the Nitecore mh12 as a gift for a man that wants the brightest light which do you prefer? Both are USB rechargeable so I love that feature.(I saw your Klarus review but couldn't find the Nitecore)

I would choose the klarus XT11s for sure, it's bright and intense, and the best thing is that you can have a side button and tailcap, the MH12 is slimmer but doesn't offers you a long throw and don't give you a crazy cool bezel upgrade option. for EDC/tactical light, the XT11s win big time.
For a female EDC? What kind of female? LOL I don't know, because there are so many different kinds of females on earth, some really don't mind an XT11s on the hip lol! But if you are talking about casual EDC and you don't want to go crazy bulky, but something bigger than the jetbeam mini-1, then I will say the Nextorch TA10 is nice, super slim and tactical, can accept many types of cells from 1.2v to 3.7v, bright and tough built, I think it is the smallest yet deadliest EDC in my collection now.

The female is slender build, athletic and about 5'5". What's the smallest "self-defense" EDC (is what I should of specified) flashlight you'd recommend? I guess for a female walking home from work late at night?
Do you shop in Toronto at all for flashlights or do you mostly online shop?
I just do online shopping, lol! Easier that way! For the female part- a TA10 is good enough for that kinda thing. Self defense friendly, and another one would be the Lumintop TD16 if you don't mind the size. It's not as fancy as the XT11s, but it is crazy good. I like how it is not equipped with a strobe lever/whatever you call it. The thing is, you just put the light on strobe mode and have it memorized. if needed, just pull it out and strobe people and the bezel is GREAT when you sharpened it up like mine, it cuts! Good quality steel bezel too, unlike a lot of crap bezle out there that is so fragile (when i really abuse them, I know!)
