Very bad video. To build a 220V to 12V 60 AMP Battery charger the author of this video should list parts with specification of each part. The transformer used will never supply 60 AMP (one can see the diameter of the wire coils). I do not understand why You Tube accepts these types of postings.

This is not a real battery charger. Firstly, the battery terminal voltage must be checked during charging so that you cut off at the correct voltage. Otherwise you will destroy the battery. Secondly, this circuit can never deliver 60A, possibly 10A.

This transformer won't produce even tenth of declared 12V/60 Amp's (transformer with at least 800W invested power and steady 60 Amp's is needed for this "project") , but these lies are for ignorant readers , pity. This genie goes even further: only half of transformer is used for this "presentation" and 2x100w(200W in total) car bulbs is load . It is easy to recognize that no more than 100+/- wats is maximum one can get from this small transformer , so ,say, 50W from its half! To be understood: picture shows usage of only half of transformer's secondary, thus only half of it's real power!Allmighty man with insulated gloves and 12V presentation! Сечение вторичной обмотки судя по картинке не более 3 квадратных миллиметров это примерно18 ампер, Отсюда ваши 60 ампер данная схем может дать в лучшем случае только в импульсе, а ваши две лампочки потребляют от силы ватт 120 - 150, это 10 - 15 ампер ну никак не 60. No one is being fooled here, the Transformer is 10A and just for demonstration but the Rectifier can deliver the current at peak without damaging with big heat sink attached as shown in the video. Use bigger Transformer for more current, thanks for watching.

Nothing special in using bridge rectifying diode and besides that that diode is only limited to 10 amps and it should have be as far apart from the other diode so as to dispurse heat faster.
