That blue Carnival fruit bowl was made by Indiana glass company. I have an amber colored one I found while garbage picking. I think it was made in the 60-70’s

You did good by not picking up the carinval bowl i have one in my booth and its been there 3 months so i was like oh dont buy that also i loved the lady i believe she was looking for someone to talk too and you are a good person i can tell have a good christmas

The last sale where you picked up the plate with the carriage are vintage. The entire set by Heritage Hall which would include teapot etc. sales from $700.00 to $1000.00. I’m very familiar with this pattern.

Tonya, regarding the turtle, is there a platform where he can climb up and let his shell dry and lettuce like veggies growing for him to eat, even tiny baby minnows he'd gobble up?
I'm thinking I saw one. Mine wouldnt eat the live after a couple of years, too lazy, lol.
Yes, he has a sunning platform and I will look into getting some baby minnows this week :)

They will be taking that high priced stuff back in the house, lol. They sure had a ton of stuff their. My step daughter has one and he's in a big box. He walks all over. They feed him lettuce and I think grnd meat. He drinks water but doesn't live in a water tank.

I collect those little pink bank purses before the carnival glass....about the carnival glass it carry a hefty price for collector ...my house is antique and want my own little antique shop... it hurt when you guys pass up good stuff I would stay up all night studying patterns and antique

My husband have a box turtle 🐢 for 40 year now and she doesn’t like the pallet food either she love fresh fish feeder and cooked shrimp 🍤 her name is BJ

Does your turtle live in water all of the time? Because I thought only softshell turtles and snapping turtles live in water? (And of course Sea Turtles!)
The blue carnival glass bowl is from Indiana and the pattern is harvest grape, I believe. Enjoy your videos! And I miss thrifting and garage sales.

The carnival glass was a reproduction. Real carnival glass has a dull iridescent finish inside.

I'm phobic FOR REAL of cockroaches! Spiders don't real scare me as long as they don't get on me. I'm not a bug person at all but I just can't stand cockroaches. They are demons in my book.
That huge rooster at the beginning of the video would have been mine, mine, MINE!!! LOL Yes, the metal thingy was a 78 record holder. I could have made a big dent in those sales. That lady looked marvelous for her age!

yes! they were overpriced!!! They told me they researched on eBay and I knew they were gonna be pricey. I did pick up 2 really nice silver bracelets there though. A little high, $6 a piece but they-re sterling silver and really pretty
They would stack the dishes and you threw dimes . If your dime landed in a dish you won the dish. It was very hard to do. Dimes were a lot of money then.
I spied an antique rooster egg plate on the back of a table at the third yard sale like one I paid $30 for at an antique store.

It is a bit sad, the lonely turtle. Maybe you could consider putting him back. He is better of in the wild than in that small tank all alone. I do not know how old your son is, but maybe he understands if you say that he would be taking away from his home and been put alone in a room... sorry but I had to say this.
We had a slider named Bob for several years, he was male. They do lose their skin and drop discs of the shell. I dont know about 5 inches cause Bob was 7-8 inches and living in a 55 gallon tank went we gave him away. he also used to regularly crawl out of the tank and fall to the floor and I'd find him across the house. I have heard they will grow to fit the tank. Bob liked to be hand fed pieces of bread.
I have two of the same turtles....mine are about 8 to 10 yrs old...the male is much smaller than the female....( my Romeo and Juliette) lol...yours look very young...because he still very pale green..as they get older it's more like a dark greenish/brown...they love tiny chunks of ham...

The turtle needs a dry place to get on also. They need water and land. He is very pretty and the aquarium is nice also just needs a place to get on dry land.

@@ThriftyTreasures you know exactly what you are doing then. LOl :) Plus it's hard to tell your child no cause I ended up bringing home a baby Oppossum when my son was 6 or 7 and we kept him for a long time. He got to be a big Oppossum & very sweet.

I love spiders. They are my favorite "bug" of all. Was wondering why you didn't pick up the Lefton "pink money" bank at the first sale. I also might have taken a second look at the pink elephant at the sale you said may have been an estate sale that was massive. I would have grabbed the Three Stooges playing cards. Oh, did you know that a well-cared for red-eared slider can live up to 30 years? That's a pretty long time...lol As always, thanks for taking us along with you on your treasure hunts.

I have been on small boats canoes kayak's ferry's And a swamp boat, When I was in a group home at 17 years old and working I got to see The Queen Elizabeth 2 Docked in Bar Harbor Maine. That ship is huge. The ocean will always now remain at a distance and looked at though my eyes. Still it's breath taking. Hope you have some more video's like that.
I didn't realize you had an eBay store. So do I. Do those $1.00 auctions work for you? I've tried them and most of the time I lose money or the item doesn't sell. I suppose having a you tube station helps you with sales. I'm always curious how to do better, and that's why I watch what your shopping for, it gives me new ideas and eyes when I go out picking, younger folks buy different things than us old folks. LOL enjoy the turtle, they can make pretty bad smells if the water isn't changed regularly, my friend has a large tank with many, they eventually eat small goldfish....ugggg

You didn't take the turquoise jewelry you picked up at the first yard sale. As far as I know they are popular but I'm just curious and I don't have the experience. Also the half moon rod iron like shelf might have been nice (by record holder).
