I've always been put off death metal due to the vocals, so I've skipped Fleshgod for a while. Maybe I'll give them and a few other bands a shot like I did with death metal Opeth and Death Edit: fleshgod is awesome
Been meaning to do this one. Their main struggle for me has been muddled production that leads to what you’re describing with it sounding like way too much going on with not enough space to support it. I think with their newest they’ve really overcome that. Better than King imo. Agony is also excellent.
Fuck, it's hard to rank them for me. I'd probably say Agony is my favorite. I still need to give Veleno more time. I really like King, but the later half kinda loses me.

It’s Veleno (not velano), both of the “E”s are pronounced like “elephant”, it means poison in Italian
They have no bad albums but Labyrinth is my favorite. Never understood the hate for it its massive sounding
It is epic, but the guitars get drowned out a bit. Still a solid album, I agree there are no bad albums.
