- In todays video I finally made it up to the Namadji State Forest. This park is supposed to have over 100 miles of trails and we barely scratched the surface! I had a ton of fun riding with my buddy Dusty. I can't wait to go back to see what else this place has to offer!

Find an affordable 400ex or warrior 350 or something like that. Great entry level quads you can find used for under 3 grand all day. Endless fun, just have to know how to wrench a little when buying old machines but it’s definitely worth it to get out and have fun

Right, here in the Mid East, it’s nothing but rocks and boulders, with dry dusty and mud pits. That sand was looking pretty good
@@jonathanwilliams4255 same here in Maryland. The only place to really ride is Western Maryland on the W.V. line and its rocky as crap.

Oh I grew up on tight technical trails, hill climbs, mud, and river crossings. Those trails are right up my alley!! I’d like to see some hill climbs there and I’ll have to go check it out for myself.
I’m not sure if there’s much for climbs, that region isn’t very hilly but there was no shortage of water and ATV trails. There was a bunch we didn’t explore so I’ll be going back for sure 😅🤘
@@PeteHager definitely looks like fun. I live close to Turkey Bay OHV Park. My buddy and a few of his Jeep friends just took over a 1000 acre park near Waverly TN and are looking for people to make ATV trails so they can attract more ATV riders.

Next video has some 5 gear run's in it! I actually was reminded about the factory speed sensor in 5th gear, I totally forgot about it. If that was removed it would definitely go 90+ which is just wild to think about lol Hopefully you've been able to get out riding, it's the best time of the year!

That is some nice riding. The trails here are very similar. The more I watch I’m sold on the idea that the Raptor 700 is the ultimate trail sport atv. I’m looking for one of them or the similar Honda trx700 for next year. Safe riding Pete 🍻🇨🇦

I stopped riding at 18 , 37 young now got me some lt250r I’m rebuilding, picked up another one a week after , and who know a trx250r will come soon can’t believe I stop riding

I saw nemadji and thought minnesota. Lets see. At 1:22 i think ur going to the campground. I was riding nemadji 25 yrs ago with gf at the time. I was in front waved her up and splashed giant puddle on her. She was soaked, sorry Lori, thats part of being a new rider. These types of trails are 4x4 riding for sure.
That whole area is a bit unusual I have been Riding motocross , utility quads and sport quads through the forest for a long time. I like going up there and usually you can find a few people to ride with if you want some company.

I wish I could use that feature but I run my gopro upside down in my mount and that limits its GPS signal pretty significantly. If I could I would because we hit some pretty high speeds a few times 😅
Great Video as always! I noticed you tried to pull up over a few puddles and there was a lot of wheel spin in the slick mud preventing you from pulling up the way you wanted. How do you feel the OBORs performed in that slick mud? I know a lot of the wheel spin is that 60HP the raptor is making 🤣 just curious because I am running a set on my YFZ and can't wait to test them out!
Actually what threw me off a few times was that gear ratio with the 15 tooth. I had a few moments where I was tapped in 2nd or dogging in 3rd. I’d stab the throttle in 3rd for a puddle but it would chug a bit and not pick up the RPM fast enough. Overall I do like the Obors more than the XC masters but my more expensive GNCC tires have performed the best out of everything I’ve tried so far! I’m looking forward to your opinion on the obors! 🤘😁

Dude the Raptor is so fun, it's a great do it all machine. The YFZR does handle and jump better but if you upgrade the Raptor to a long travel set up with a wider rear axle it's super comparable and thats something you can always do down the road. Enjoy the new beast man!🤘 #savesportquads

I know this is off topic but after 3 weeks of owning my raptor 250 I already hit a pot hole and rammed into a fence and it’s a lil bit beat up but it’s getting serviced and but it runs and drives, kind of

Hey Pete what are some good but not too expensive trial tires for the raptor 700
Hey Trevor. I've enjoyed these new Obor Advent's I'm running and they're pretty budget friendly. I'd say the most popular budget tire that is super durable would be the GBC XC Masters. However I've ran the XC masters a few seasons and sometimes they hook in power slides when I don't want them to.. I haven't had that issue with the Advents yet 👍

Is this bad for the bike ??
I've seen a few riders over the years running them without the baffle. It would probably be okay for awhile but it technically will alter your air fuel ratio and it could cause premature engine wear overtime. If you want a better sound I would look into a slip on exhaust by HMF or Yoshimura. You could pair that with a HMF fuel controller to make sure your machine doesn't run too lean. That set up would save you a few hundred dollars over a full exhaust 👍

He does do track riding here and there.
I make it out now and then, unfortunately most tracks have banned quads in my area so there isn't many opportunities. I definitely enjoy free riding a bit more but the occasional track day is a good time!

What size is your trailer? Curious because i noticed that you throw the raptor in there sideways from time to time. Thanks!!
Hey Andrew, the trailer is 16ft long by 7 wide by 7 tall. Excluding the V the rectangle is 14x7. We often put 3 quads in there broadside. The Raptor is about 6 feet long and is probably the hardest one to put sideways but you just gotta muscle it. The whole trailer is 21 feet long including the tongue. We figured it would be a comfortable size for a half ton truck. If I could change anything I would make it wider. My my next one will probably be 24x8.5x7 if I upgrade our travel truck to a 3/4 or 1 ton 👍

Just purchased my 2012 Honda trx 400x. Picking it up tomo. All stock and a 56 yr old guy was previous owner. Got her for $3k. I cant believe it, seems too good to be true. This is partially your fault. I was totally fine with my raptor, then you planted the seed in my head.

Hey Pete, and all of UA-cam land, i need some help, I'm 16, 5,11 and 135lbs, and am looking for my first sport quad. I've ridden a rancher 350 4x4 almost all my life and have recently maxed out its capabilities, lol. I've been searching through market place and found a couple 400ex's, but i also found a 2014 Honda trx450r up for 1,200. It needs a starter clutch and some other little stuff, but I'm all for learning how to work on these machines. My biggest question is does the 450r have to much power and race ergonomics for a beginner? The 400ex's are in decent shape, they need some carb work, but the 450r looks so nice and is just a little more cool and a 400ex, lol

Is that a TRX 450? Whatever Honda he is on, It's Fast, would assume Not close to Stock. Pete's raptor is fast

Interesting. I Have a almost stock 2021 Raptor 700R and lining up against multiple TRX 450's its usually a good race to about 50 then the Raptor pulls away. Your a Good Rider, that helps allot.
