A great present I used for my folks and rv friends were grocery gift cards. A quick search of the internet can tell you what chains are in their area(s) or ask them what they prefer. Everybody needs food but it sure is nice not having to pay for it

    Hi Robin:
I had a recent experience and it brought to mind this video that I previously watched. I was camping solo in my RV at a state park last week and there were no other campers in my area. As I was walking outside to adjust my solar panel on the ground, I suddenly tripped over an unseen stump that was directly in the middle of my campsite. I hit the ground hard on my right side and the severe pain to my ribs kept me on the ground until I could finally roll over to my good side and sit up. My cellphone was in the RV and it was then that I realized I couldn’t even make it in to call for help. The pain finally subsided enough (I broke the ninth rib on that side) that I eventually made it inside to apply ice and call for help. Two very valuable lessons learned that I would like to share:
    1. Scope out your campsite and place a bucket or marker wherever a hazard may be.
    2. Keep your cellphone on your body at all times
I am researching the ResQLink right now!
    Patty

Hey, Robin. Just an FYI, that neck light that you like so much comes in a rechargeable version (from Amazon). I have the battery operated light that I use on our travels primarily for walking the dogs. Keeps your hands free and gives great forward lighting. Mine also has a red light setting which is great when you don’t want to ruin your night vision! I bought a second light for use at home. I like to read at night and and oftentimes don’t want to disturb the rest of the household so this makes a great personal light. The charges seems to last a fairly long time. Your Bomb Cyclone was very good. Leaving in NM and traveling often in CO we have had some pretty hefty winds in our 5th wheel. I can really freak you out! Those cyclone winds must have been something else! Safe travels.

Just jacked up my Christmas budget something serious. Note, batteries can't generate heat. They can run A fan but not a heater. I have an entire solar system with gigantic battery bank plug a heater in its quickest way to drain it.

First, Robin... I just adore you and your channel. Wanted to give a shoutout to the USB rechargeable lighter. I was so tired of BIC lighters that used to last forever and now seem to last three times that my husband bought a rechargeable lighter too. Went to your link and it’s unavailable but ours is from Boulder Tools and is available for $19.99 from Amazon. We love it.
I burn 25 oz soy or beeswax candles from Soyfire Candles in North Conway NH. The candles are non-toxic and come in many sizes and scents. Great local (to me) small company. Free shipping in contiguous USA with orders over $72 which amounts to about 3-25 oz candles. And if they arrive chipped they’ll resend no questions asked & you don’t have to return the chipped ones. They always sell one a month that is the scent of the month for 20% off. I love the Candle Crest brand scents of Winter Evergreen (November’s Scent of the Month), Honeysuckle-Jasmine (even men enjoy), and Lilac. I shy away from the Apple scented ones bc they seem to smell fermented (actually I don’t know that for sure but that’s my experience with toxic Yankee brand candles).
Love your list. Thanks for all the great ideas!! Happy Thanksgiving and a truly Merry Christmas!! 💜

Forget about Oprah's favorite things, we have YOU! Thank you for this wonderful list of favorite items. I'm a 52 (almost 53) year old grandma and just purchased the mini bus from our church. I am totally stoked to turn it into a camper-bus and have some excursions. I had hoped for a high top van, but this will do for now and I think it will be nice to start out with the extra room for guests. Robin, I couldn't help but notice your North Dakota stamp is not filled in on your map. I live in Minot, ND and you are welcome to park in our driveway and camp (or even to join us in our home). We have a vineyard just west of town and perhaps they are on the Harvest Host site? There are 3 things I definitely would not miss when you come to ND. #1 spend some time in Medora: Attend the Medora Musical, splurge on the Pitchfork Steak Fondue dinner and enjoy the west side of the state. #2 visit the International Peace Gardens . #3 get an ice cream treat from Oscar's Ice Cream truck in Minot. Oscar is my son and we will hook you up with an Oscar's Ice Cream Tshirt and free ice cream!

What I got for people for Christmas is the little battery charger. I got one a couple of years ago. They are a little bigger than my cell phone and I got it because my car battery wouldn't hold a charge. You can charge anything from your cell phone to your vehicle. You can carry it in your purse.

Thanks Robin for these great ideas. I am currently living in my camper whilst doing agency work in the U.K. I don’t have a microwave for heat packs and was using hot water bottle at night which I don’t feel safe about so my boyfriend bought me the rechargeable 'hot water bottle' and it’s been great. Pretty cold here at the moment I can tell you! He also got me the neck light and that has also been great for taking the dog out at night, two hands available, one for the lead and one for poop scooping! 🐶 Wish I could do a similar blog from the U.K. but not full timing so not sure there would be much interest, although I may end up doing more agency work as I like the freedom of it! Best wishes from the Isle of Wight!

I use battery (flamess) candles. There are a few different kinds but the ones I like use AA or AAA batteries. You can use rechargeable batteries too. The ones I use have 3 settings, on, off or timer. You Cann get them with remotes but I don't like those. The ones I like, I turn them on setting them on timer. From that moment they will come on at the same time every night and turn off by themselves. You can choose different candles that will stay on for 6 or 8 hours. I love these, I have the all over the place. You can even get water/weather proof. In Michigan mine last about about 14-16 months, even in the snow depending how good your batteries are.

The rechargeable electric hot water bottle is so great, it only takes minutes to charge it and it last a long time (hours) I charge it in the morning and have it on my lap on the way to work, it keeps me nice and warm (I live in Colorado) I take it into work because I get chilly at my desk and my co workers ask me about it so I gave them your link for it, I hope that's okay. Today I ordered the rechargeable neck light because I leave so early in the morning that it's still dark outside and I like to read at night, I'll let you know about it when it gets here, thank you for your videos, I'm going to be on the road soon and you've given me a lot of information, I've been taking notes from your videos, thank you and please keep them coming and be safe

I have knee issues and have a long commute until my retirement (1/1/21 - or sooner), when i hope to get that Leisure Travel Van. I am hoping that will help ease my pain. I also could not resist the opportunity to explore Harvest Host, so I did sign up for the $44 per year membership. I trust your sage advice and will give me something to explore over the winter here in Indiana. Keep posting those amazing videos. Robin, I just loved this video. In fact, I made my husband sit down and watch it too! He had to have the rechargeable hot water bottle for one of his Christmas presents. Well, we opened our Christmas presents and he got lots of things, but he was most excited about his rechargeable water bottle! He has slept with it every night since he got it and if he forgets to charge it right before we got to bed, it takes but a short time to get a full charge, and get a really hot bottle for his cold feet. We both love it. I need one for me now as I charged it this morning and it is by my side as we speak. You are right, it is just the best and #1 also in our book. We also joined Harvest Hosts. Thank you for your recommendations.

Harvest Hosts is now $79 a year! Wow that is not free and almost double from 2018. That’s definitely not a small bump. The reason they doubled their price? Less people are using it because it’s really not that great of a deal. Stay “free” after an $80 annual fee? Wonder how much you get from each person using your code. Passport America is still the best deal around.

Omg... I have been binge watching you since I found you for the last two weeks because you are absolutely so fascinating! When I saw this video name I thought I could skip it because it looked kind of silly about gifts for a nomad but I put it on as ‘background noise’ to something else I was doing and stopped what I was doing every two minutes to see what your little favorite things were because they were all so interesting. I need to buy more than half of the things that you just showed and I’m not sure how to give you credit for all of them but I would like to make sure I do. If I go to the Amazon link for one how do I order three or four things without having to get separate shipments for each item? You are truly amazing at teaching even a part timer everything I need to know about my RV and I am a single woman with a 90-year-old mother I travel with so you’ll never know how appreciative I am of all of your info and explanations. You are amazing Robin! Thank you so much.

Thank you, Robin! I want the hot water bottle for my Aunt when we get power outages. Then she can be toasty warm. Hmmm...I’d better get another one for me! Just though of something. I keep enclosures for the outside cats that won’t let me catch them. This would be perfect! Nothing to catch on fire, no noise to scare them and my electric bill won’t get crazy high. Fantastic!

The wine tasting made me wonder if Rvers keep at least one nice thing to wear. Any special event clothes in that closet of yours? Hmm...could this be a future vid? :)

Hi Carolyn I looked up the producer for the heat pillow because I want the European version. Said I saw it on your channel. They answered me (sadly not the European version) but they wanted your link to put it on their web. I sent it so I hope you get something out of it!

I'm glad I watched this episode as I had not thought about emergency beacons and after doing just a little research the one you mentioned is quite nice and one of the lower cost units. Thanks for the video! btw the drink cozy is cool, I think I'll be ordering one soon.

Harvest Hosts is now $79 US/yr. That is almost twice of what it was last year. They just might see a slow down in new clients.

I saw the rechargeable water bottle on one of your previous videos and snagged it for work. I’m always cold and this has been a lifesaver. It’s so much more convenient than the mini heating pad I was using because now I’m not tethered to an electrical outlet. Thanks 🙏
