Ive had my 870 more than likely since before you were born. I have always cleaned after shooting, but never until now a complete take down. Your video was was 100% helpful and gave me the confidence to do a complete and long overdue full cleaning. Your knowledge and presentation is so helpful and very professional, great job and thank you so much.

This is EXACTLY what I'm looking for when I use UA-cam videos: Minimal preamble, simple specific steps with advice on step order and warnings about potential "gotcha" spots. Very nicely done, and exactly what I needed. 19:38 well spent.

So I know I'm nearly 7 years late to the party, but I want to thank you for this extremely informative video. Just stripped and cleaned my father's 870. He passed 10 years ago and this shotgun has been sitting unmaintained for at least a decade. Your video was absolutely perfect; exactly what I needed for a tear-down, cleaning, and reassembly. Thanks again!

Just echoing what everyone else is saying. The level of professionalism and forethought that went into this video is unprecedented on UA-cam and as the proud new owner of my dad's old 870 I REALLY appreciate how thorough and precise this video is. I have absolute confidence in doing a takedown to clean my firearms safely and effectively. Many Thanks!

By far, one of the best gun videos on UA-cam!! Excellent presentation skills, and I like the way that you included different variations of this shotgun. The tips were very helpful. The structure of the process using separate chapters is great! Easy to find what you’re looking for, and helps to quickly get the job done. You’ve got a real knack for training. I know it’s a lot of work, but thousands of people are going to benefit from your efforts. Thank you, and keep up the good work!

Thank you for taking the time and effort to produce such a useful, through and easy to follow guide.
I'm one of the "new owned's" you describe. Lots of firearms, & firearms use and disassembly experience with nearly every weapon type- except
ZERO time even holding a shotgun!
Did not grew up around guns, never been interested in hunting, so never was attracted to shotguns.
My new 879 Tactical is a dream for home protection- but trying to remove a fused barrel nut in my brand new gun almost drove me nuts!

Excellent video, sir!!! Very professionally spoken and articulated perfectly. I enjoyed it and found if very informative. I have 3 different Mossberg 590A1's and I can totally Field Strip, Clean, Oil and Grease them in my sleep, but I recently purchased a Remington 870P Police Magnum #24885 and it arrived last Friday and I want to do a complete Field Strip & Clean and as soon as I'm finished typing this comment, I'm getting into it with your video running in the background as reference and I've saved it in my FAV FOLDER as well. Thank you for taking the time to produce a video of this quality and I can see from the comments, I'm not alone in that thinking. I will also check out the rest of your video library now as well. CHEERS...

I already commented that this is the most easily understood video: clear, easy and complete. SO.....just to test that, I got my 8, 9 and 11 year old granddaughters to the cleaning table (only one of them had ever handled a gun of any kind) played the video for them, reviewed the names of the parts, then watched them disassemble two Remington 870s together. They replayed the video as they went along, followed ALL the special hints, and especially followed the order of disassembly. It took them only 40 minutes, and they made no mistakes. I can't tell you how proud they were of themselves, and how proud I am of them. There is only ONE problem. They want to do it over and over again now. Next, the learn the cleaning process. I can actually trust them to do it without my supervision, and from now on, all of the Remingtons are now THEIR responsibility. Of course, you lock up all the shells. We can't wait until our grandsons get to see how the girls can do this. I predict a hell of a lot of envy.

This is the best Rem 870 take down and reassembly video I have seen and I have looked at a lot of them. Almost 10 years after you made this, and here I am trying to remember how to take apart an 870. (I haven't owned one in almost that long.) I came across this. You, sir are an EXCELLENT presenter. No unnecessary "ummmm", "ahhhhh", "yeah", "you know", "I think". You speak clearly, get to the point, and waste zero time without endless repetition and unsolicited opinions. This was well shot and well edited, too. I'm subscribing even though I see you haven't made a video in 4 years. I can only hope life is treating you well.

This was VERY VERY helpful!! I had a rust issue that required a breakdown which I have never done. I went step by step with you and it was spot on! Thank you
