Just to let y'all know, in the clip where the members of the group seems to flagellate themselves, they were actually doing it for real ! The blood you can see on them is theirs ! I want to remind you again, the song "Keine Lust" is fantastic. The song is good, the video is phenomenal. And while I'm at it, you'll also like the song "Knebel" by Lindemann. The clip is good, but you should also like Live In Moscow. I also suggest the clip "F&M" to you. Fantastic music by Till Lindemann solo, but the video is great too.
I was in Lissboa and see many pictures and statues from priests and monks often with flagellants around the hip...realizing now common this self harm was...religion is and was strange and weird.
Portugal as you know is primarily a very very Christian country like a lot not to extreme as usa but some extreme stuff, Lisbon as one of the most holiest places in the region also, the flagellants dated supposedly since the Bible Jesus Christ was beaten by flagellants on the wips

Rosenrot is amazing also this whole album os fantastic I felt that this album was a lot darker and Gothic in they're sound and I loved it. Also spring you guys need to react to spring defo
Great song. Actually I love all their songs. In the scene where their whipping themselves they do it for real. If you see the making of of this video you will see a lot. They really did a lot of effort in this video.
In general watching the making ofs of their songs will help you a lot understanding their videos and what they actually want to do and say.

Yes it was played on TV. But songs/videos like this were played on German MTV and VIVA (music tv channels) only after 10 pm.
one of the reasons why they flagellated themselves was to avoid the temptation to sin... Ironic, right? pure Rammstein. Another reason was self-punishment for having sinned or having sinful thoughts...

boah! im so shocked! i never saw the video of my favorit Song. And i think Till better would use this video for the song "ohne Dich" and the video of "ohne Dich" fitts better to this Song. But anyway, seeing the old Till with this Teengirl is just a problematic point that always was unspocken around Ramstein. Saturday i have more time and then i worte you here how i find you on youtube and why i follow you and what happend the last 2 months in Germany around Till Lindemann and the famous words " you have to seperat the Artist from his Art " or " can you separat the artist from his art?". You have some good points at this reaction and my point was "Deutschland" and yes i can separat the artis from his art. and now seeing this video i cant not seperat the Art from the Artist. They should use the video from "Ohne dich" for this song, just by lyrics. And using the lyrics of "Ohne Dich" may its excauseble this Teenfucker Video.
It's the German community of Transylvania, called Siebenbürgen. The monks/priests are Catholic (one has a Trappist frock) and they used to flog themselves. They made the video there so that it would appear timeless (or that people couldn't exactly say what times it was set in).

In my opinion I think a lot of people misinterpret the video. Here the girl is blamed, thats wrong. In fact, Till always sings from the perpetrator's point of view and you only see what he sees in the video. An obviously underage girl seduces him. These are the wishes and excuses of a pedophile offender. The video shows his point of view and not reality. He sleeps with her and removes the people who really love the girl so that he has her to himself. That's how I interpret it. Till would never blame a child for the deeds of a sick person.
The sex offender is also aware that he is sinning, so he punishes himself with lashes in order to wash himself clean. So do the other clergy because they just don't say anything and let it happen.
The other clergy just watch and do nothing until the girl points out loud at the perpetrator. Just like the church does. Everything is accepted and concealed until it can no longer be concealed. Then all of a sudden they attack him together. And when the pedophile is gone, the next one (Flake in this case kiss the girl ) is already waiting.
The other possible explanation is of course the obvious one shown in the video. Lolita seduces a man who does everything for her to end up being the wrong one herself. But I think it's not that simple.

In the "making of" the director also said at one point that the monks should turn around after Till and the girl and say "oh, shit, oh god". This is the scene where Till and the girl go hiking alone together. This, in turn, tells me the monks know their pedophile friend very well.
In the "making of" for this video there is also a note hidden about what the video is actually about. Suddenly the song "Hallelujah" was recorded. And this song is explicitly about pedophile clergy.
It's always interesting to see reactors watch this but they nearly always blame the girl and its a bit of a shame. She's clearly very young and Till is an older clergyman creeping around under her bed, the others aren't approving etc. She is not to blame here

It might been connected to pedophilic/hebephilic clergy of our era too, but im not sure about that, many stated its related to old fairytales and stories of europe. She seduces him and makes him kill her family (hard to understand motive, inheritance/freedom from family or just pure evil), then betrays even him and watches him die... for me this is typical succubus story from myths and legends.

What they do with the whips is selfflaggellation. A practice that was pretty common back in the day especially for monks. But it is still practiced today by the numerarians of the Opus Dei. Well everyone has a different opioion many people love the "newer" albums. I'm not a big fan of Herzeleid or Sehnsucht but Mutter is 👍🏻
