I have the PGYTech version and it includes a strap that wraps under my arms and holds it very securely. It's a cross between a gopro chesty mount and the free hang neck mount. I use it to record POV while I'm drawing and it's really comfy and stays put.
I love using the neck mount with mine. What surprised me was the stability if you walk gently and also, dead slow pans just by turning your body slowly. I managed some really slow, smooth pans without having to set a higher frame rate. It really surprised me how slow I could turn and how smooth the pan was.
Even though I have Telesin's version, I've found that mounting the A3/A4 upside down works great. I do this so I can place the neck mount under my hoodie hood for comfort and so it sits closer to the center of my chest. I picked this trick up from another UA-camr about a year ago. Oh, for additional stability, get a strong small circle magnet to use under your shirt to connect to the magnetic mount where the camera connects. This *should* work on the DJI version. Keep up the great work! 👊🏾💯
The necklace mounts are great. I've been using the Ulanzi version for a while now. It's been great for pov fishing and hiking shots. Or shots of my hands when cooking at camp. I set the DJI Action 4 to Horizon Balancing and fishing shots at the beach are stable.
I have the Telesin one and it is great. I use it upside down 90 percent of the time. You just need to be weary that it may start bending and the shot is a bit looking up. Just gotta keep checking for framing. Other than that, it is great!
I have the Telesin that is similar to this but it has magnetic mount so i can remove and put back much easier. I usually wear a backpack with a chest strap to keep the camera even more stable while using the neck mount. nice review
Always in my bag for those occasions you need to free your hands, attracts less attention too…needs a quick release mount though. Mine is the Telesin version.
I use the neck mount from Telesin, but they are a bit too small to use with jacket and over jacket sleves (winter time), but else it's really great to use.
Hi 👋 just got my osmo 4! Could you please help me navigate the settings if I wanted to record tennis? Like exposure, frame rate, sharpness etc? Only thing I’m worried about is how to minimize the darkness of shadows casting on the court
I'm going to use this on the motorcycle. Should be a good match instead of the helmet mount. added with a few other mounts this should add some good B roll to my rides. 😎
I tried the neck mount + osmo action 4 with helmet, but if you only want to use for that, I suggest a helmet chin mount instead. That's what I'm rocking now. You can buy 3rd party ones much cheaper. My problem was with the neck mount, that I constantly banged the helmet to the camera :D
The only negative point is that you cannot use it for running! thre is a version with a band that goes around your chest for it I think is from Telesin but that give a lot of pressure to the neck and after a while it hurst a lot, but to just walk and POV is amazing!!!!!
I attach my camera to the DJI backpack strap mount when I go hiking but I'm still getting bouncy footage. Doing the ninja walk or using a hand held gimbal for six miles is not an option 😅Does this neck mount solve this issue? I'm a newbie to action cameras so any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm binge watching all your videos right now, thanks Tamara!
I just got my osmo action 4 yesterday it got so hot just updating the firmware. Is there a fix for that. I want to use it for live streaming when im dj’ing my events
I love a neck mount! As a woman (with boobs lol) I found that chest mounts never sit right, AND I hate how conspicuous they look. I got the telesin neck mount which is super similar but comes with a little detachable strap you can run around your back to keep it stable. So for anything a bit more action-y, it ends up working very similar to a chest mount 😊
Yeah exactly! The chest mounts are never a consideration for me after trying them a few years ago, they definitely weren’t designed with women in mind 🫠
The original action camera came with a lanyard you could use around your neck. DJI stopped selling that. A string through the holes in a magnetic mount will do the same. The camera hangs upside down, but the video corrects for that. Saves a bundle, well, $36. Of course, it doesn't look a cool and you can't adjust the angle as well.
Since the Osmo is that close to your face, you won't need an external microphone, the built in microphones are more than good enough. The best internal mics in the game.
Could you not stick a bit of velcro on the action 4 and mic? I wonder if it would be good for sports though? What do you think? Something like a table tennis player that might be jumping around.
Good idea! So, I just pretended I was playing table tennis 😆 and it didn't seem to bob around too much. Because it's so flexible you can kind of mold it to your neck shape to keep it in place more.
The hanging neck mount 👉🏾 geni.us/ctdq

I just bought Osmo Action 4 thanks to your video and here's another episode with a great gadget! You have gained a subscriber!
Thank you! I appreciate it 😊

I do the same. I mount it upside down. Great results
1 of my first things i got when i got my cam. Love my neck mount when out paddleboarding, etc. It also acts like a tripod, too 😊
I made a video with a neck mount. I then realized the microphone in the camera picks up your voice perfectly. You don't need a wireless mic.
Yeah the camera mics are great, I just like to use an external mic when it’s windy, which is often.
I actually bought adventure combo + this neck mount for my Cycling vlogs. It's just a perfect combination.

Sold…got one will try soon specially biking and with e-scooter. Thanks 😊
I had to return it. It was too tight around my neck (and I'm not a big guy) I bought the telesin brand which is longer, and it worked perfect.
I use the neck mount from Telesin, but they are a bit too small to use with jacket and over jacket sleves (winter time), but else it's really great to use.
A have another same model like this,so good for POV and silicon material are so soft, love it

Very good sound quality
I have this one and the MagSafe version both work great
I love mine, better than shoulder mount or chest mount
I got this mount and I still haven’t got my action 4. Hoping to get it later this week!
Mine is from telesun 😊
Oooo this is good. Better alternative to the chest strap when u don’t need that level of stability but want the same field of view
💯
@@TamaraGabrielUK u struggled a bit to put it on, has it since become easier to put it on and off or do you still tend to fumble with it?
Nah, I just wasn't paying attention, it's really easy to put on and take off.
hiya .... is the dji ok with using a mobile hotspot modem .... and irl live streaming over to twitch ?
Great. Hope this has easy-pull/snap magnetic version soon, so we no longer screw them all the time
You could leave one of the magnetic mounts on it permanently so that you don't have to take it on and off all the time.

Mic sounds so good 🎉
It continues to impress me every time I use it!
Hey Tamara quick question please, can you help with how you make your thumbnail? They are so cool and eye catching 😅
I just shoot high-res photos, choose the best and then do the editing in Photoshop.
@@TamaraGabrielUK any video on how you do that in photoshop?
I don't have a specific video, but maybe at some point I'll do a live demo in a livestream.
@@TamaraGabrielUK that will be great Tamera,I can’t wait for that
Hii! Love the video! Btw, which focal length did you use? Did you use the standard or narrow?
Hey! Thanks! I try to use the wide fov (if I remember to switch) when on the neck mount.
My favourite necklace 😮
Haha so random, I have that! Love to use it for pov 😊
Also TELESIN TE-HNB-001 Works amazing. Do You remember those chest mounts? 😂😂
I just got my osmo action 4 yesterday it got so hot just updating the firmware. Is there a fix for that. I want to use it for live streaming when im dj’ing my events
It would've been handy while fishing on the weekend.
Yeah, from what I've seen a lot of people use it for fishing.
is this the Telesin reBranded for DJI?

The bite mount?! :)))))))))))))
That's with the quick release? I thought about getting like that. For the mic, maybe a lav would be easier?
Yeah, I attached the magnetic quick release. It doesn't come with one though.

Which camera you are using for vlogging
Osmo Action 4 and Osmo Pocket 3. Depends on the situation and the weather.
Since the Osmo is that close to your face, you won't need an external microphone, the built in microphones are more than good enough. The best internal mics in the game.
I will need a mic if it’s windy. I don’t like the sound of wind hitting the mics, even if it’s just a light breeze.
What is the difference between telesin and dji neck mount?
Looking at it, possibly just the price. They look similar, but I haven't used the Telesin one so I can't say for sure.
Could you not stick a bit of velcro on the action 4 and mic? I wonder if it would be good for sports though? What do you think? Something like a table tennis player that might be jumping around.

@@TamaraGabrielUK HAHA thanks for going to those lengths! I guess the rocksteady helps with that too. It's in my basket 👍
Can i use it with Insta360 ACE PRO without problem, right???
Yep!
How is it from running 5k?
Haven't tried 😅
@@markylon I know. I wanted to know if the strap moves around when running. I'm thinking of getting the exact strap she has.
@@markylon it's now clear in HD 😂
Hi, where are you from originally?
I bet she's from England
when does the new osmo 5 go on sale?
I don't think she works for DJI.
@garymason7 Correct! 😆 Anyone's guess is as good as mine 😅 Looking forward to when it does launch though.
First thing I got when I bought the DJI action cam😅
Im 2m so it would have to be pointing too downwards to see things...simply put it looks TOO short
its better than having a full on chest strap and not too obvious
Exactly!
