Sometimes. But for the majority of the time I just use it without NDs. The main times that I do use them is always when shooting timelapses, and sometimes when I intentionally shoot b-roll.

Hadn’t been using my Action 4 on a selfie stick in quite a while, mostly tripods. Glad in watching your vid that it got me back into it with a new selfie stick, and refreshed that the image stabilization and how awesome a difference it makes. They really gotta give us the Pocket 3 sensor in the Action 5. Anything less will be so disappointing. A pocket 3 sans gimal would be great for image quality with better durability and should be a little less expensive. Great video. Keep up the good work.
We use a small compact powerful light on action 4 to light up our faces in darkness, makes a huge difference on an action cam. Dlog too complicated for vlogging, that’s for those cinematic dudes. I big change i had to make was turn down the ISO to a lower max, when it goes high footage gets really crappy. Great job, first time YT showed me you. Larry
Amazing quality. I'm looking forward to owning the DJI Action 5 coming out later this month. I'll be looking forward to more of your videos! My main drawback with these action cameras is the dreaded fish eye look of the videos. Yours look normal and not distorted with the curvature.

You are a lifesaver because when I bought my DJI ACTION 4 I was struggling to find the right settings. Only with your videos and the guidance that I found in your website I managed to make my Camera work like it should. I have only one question. I’m using a wind slayer, that foam cover and is doing an excellent job, but it’s covering the color grading sensor in the front of the camera. I worry how much this affects the quality of my video. The footage looks great! I got the Action 4 for motovlogging and was going to use my ZV-1 for off-the-bike shots and vlogging. Sticking with the Action 4 might be better/easier. Thanks for this!
Hi. I was doing the same : Action for the motorcycle and ZV-1 (and Canon camcorder) once out of the bike to get event better footage but as the Color rendering was different between DJI Sony & Canon, it was a nightmare to harmonize the colors in post… So finally I went for a much lighter and easier travel setup and now I just have an Action 4 and a Pocket 3 (and a DJI Drone); all fits in a small bag, and Color rendering is the same from all cameras. I lost the nice extra stuff from the Sony and Canon (better manual control, optical zoom, etc..) Sony have to be more creative, but I’m so happy to travel light !

First time viewer. I had been using GoPro for years, then tried Insta Ace Pro, then this camera. The other two cameras had darn good video just using standard presets and I never had to do post editing. But man were they unreliable. With this camera, I find it is very reliable but the "auto" settings all appear to be flat and not have warm colors like my other cameras. It's a drag having to learn how to do editing when I don't want to do that. Hoping I can find a way to set this up to do quick filming with "warm" colors. Thanks.
I purchased my first ever gopro and went for the 11 hero , but I can still trade it for the 12 or DJI action 4 , which do you think has better resolution when cropping in the video or photos? The hero 11 has great resolution but wonder if the dji 4 has higher resolution

However I see the Mic 2 can bluetooth to my action camera - but I wonder if the mic 1 case and receiver can work with mic 2 tx microphone? Really just want to buy one mic 2 and a lav mic - Thanks 🙏

Thanks. Overall I prefer the Action 4 to the GoPro Hero 11/12 for convenience and ease of use. The Ace Pro is a good camera, but I still prefer the look of the footage from the Action 4. For the Action 4 I add a slight colour grade to my footage even if I shoot in the Normal colour profile.

Would you say that the Action 4 beats the GoPro 12 in low light? I have the 12 and in good light, it’s quite impressive. But in even remotely low light it totally falls apart. Seems the action 4 does ok in low light. That church footage was impressive.

Hey Tamara, quick question for you. I have a Pocket 3 and just ordered an Action 4. Can you pair the mic 2 with both at the same time and will it auto connect to whichever camera is turned on at the time or do you have to re-pair it each time you want to switch from one camera to the other?
For me, it's always been that whichever camera it was paired with last is the one it will be paired with regardless if you turn on the other camera. So if I want to switch to the other camera, I'd have to pair it again.
In this video I used the original DJI Wireless Mic, but since the DJI Mic 2 was released I use that, especially because of the direct Bluetooth connection, which means I don’t need to plug the receiver into the camera.
Hey Tamara, I am really struggling with my video settings for riding Mountain Bikes. I lose a lot of footage when it goes really dark around me. If I enter dense tree sections at speed it seems to go so dark, I can't salvage the footage. What settings would you recommend for me? I need something I can set and forget as I can't stop halfway on a trail and change them all? Hope you see this and thank you in advance if you can help

You probably mean -0.3, because -3 stops would be way underexposed.

No problem ☺️ When talking, I suggest Mono. If just shooting b-roll, then Stereo gives a good audio/visual effect.

Do you adjust the audio in post, my DJI mic 2 with the Pocket 3 sounds really "boomy".
The most I do is increase the gain sometimes, and if it's particularly noisy with traffic and people, then I'll add a bit of voice isolation.

In this video, the OG mic was connected via the receiver. But I filmed this video months ago, so I use the Mic 2 via Bluetooth connection now.
Did you do any noise reduction on this in post or was it this clean already just shooting? Very good quality!!
Nope, no noise reduction in post. But what I did do was add some sharpness in FCPX at a value of 1.0 because in-camera I turn sharpness off.

What are best cinematic settings for Osmo Pocket 3? 30fps or 60?
If you’re only looking at frame rate and that “cinematic” motion blur, then traditionally it would be 24fps with a shutter speed of 1/50.
I’ve heard speculations going around where you have to download and app that isn’t safe in order to use Dji cameras?

That low light enhancing feature disables your custom sharpness and noise reduction settings.
How setting low light enhancement
Swipe to the middle from the right edge of the screen, then if you have your colour profile set to Normal, you should be able to see it and enable it.
