When I first started I did use tips. But within a few months I switched to tipless bags. Not all bags are created equal! Some tipless bags have a big seam that can cause issues with the icing coming out smoothly. A few shops that I would recommend are: The Sweet Design Shoppe - her 30 micron small bags.....Truly Madly Plastics - their medium or small ....Grunderfully Delicious - small bags It is also important how you cut your bags....flatten the bag so that the seam is running up the top side of the bag (when you get them the seam will be flat along the edge of the bag) ...then flatten the seam out as best you can to the very tip. Then you will cut a tiny snip across the end perpendicular to the seam. I hope all that makes sense! It's kinda hard to explain :)

The Lucida App is a great app but it doesn't project the image onto the cookie like the Pico does. If you use the tablet stand she has for her Pico you can put it directly over the cookie and decorate it by looking through your tablet, using the camera. It's not hard to do it this way but it does take some time to get use to. That's how i currently use the Lucida App on my ipad.

There is a pink background and lots of words....photos around it are bags of icing, poodle skirt, one in a melon set and a hamburger. Hopefully that will help!
Its definitely a game changer when it comes to getting text on a cookie. I've been doing this almost 3 years and I still don't put text on a cookie without it. I got mine probably a few months after I started and use it for just about every set I do.
Icing consistency is definitely the tricky part to decorating cookies! The best thing I would recommend is to search for videos on UA-cam where different decorators will show how to make the different consistencies. Good luck!

Does this also work good for cakes?
My Phonto doesn’t look like yours did you have to purchase something so Defont will upload there?
Hey....no I didn't? Purchase anything....if you are on Instagram, I did a little video on how I get it from dafont to phonto. The video is way down my feed and is from October 2019. There is a pink background and lots of words....photos around it are bags of icing, poodle skirt, one in a melon set and a hamburger. Hopefully that will help!
Thank you!
Soo I’m a little confused (not unusual) you need to hook up the pico to both your phone & iPad?
No, just to your ipad
Thank you ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
Is this something a beginner should invest in?
Its definitely a game changer when it comes to getting text on a cookie. I've been doing this almost 3 years and I still don't put text on a cookie without it.
I got mine probably a few months after I started and use it for just about every set I do.
Thank you.
Thank you so much, could you please tell the thickness you use in the icing because I’ve tried many times and its not working with me ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Icing consistency is definitely the tricky part to decorating cookies!
The best thing I would recommend is to search for videos on UA-cam where different decorators will show how to make the different consistencies.
Good luck!
Do you know if you can use texts from Cricut ?
I don't see why not...I've used text from many places :)
Good afternoon I was wondering do you happen to know what hdmi you’re using?
If you head to my amazon store I have it in there....www.amazon.com/shop/sweetsugarlaine
Great tutorial. Thankyou! How did you get the cookie cutter to fit that text?
I have a 3D printer and printed the cutter to go with the text.
@@SweetSugarLaine Please do a You Tube on THAT!!!
@@ablyth269 on making cookie cutters?
@@SweetSugarLaine Yes!! Would love to see what hardware and software you are using and how involved it is to make your own cutters!! Thanks for the response!!
can you use an iphone as well ?
I believe so....I use an android so I can't confirm 100%
Sweet Sugar Laine i’ll just use my Ipad 😁, thanks !
Can you use the pick projector connected to your iPhone?
I don't see why not? I don't have an iPhone, but I'm sure I've seen people doing that.
Does it come with the stand?
No...the projectors don't come with stands
The camera lucida app is it $9.99
And has been well worth it for me😉 I use it pretty with every set of cookies I do
I don’t see the hmdi option :(
What font is Thank You in?
"Girls are Weird" off Dafont
Can I connect this to my iPhone since I don’t have an ipad
I would think so! I don't have an iphone but I would think that it would work.
Mine won’t cut on while plugged in.
Has anyone located the adapter on Amazon for type C port?
I have. Let me find the link.

I plugged everything and n and mine says no signal? Any ideas
Miranda Colatruglio mine does that sometimes as well! I usually wiggle the connector at the top of the pico and it will work. Have you used it before?

Did you know a company on Facebook is using your video for false advertising of their product? The company is A meet- aurora and the product is called Trace’n Draw Optical Dessert Projector. I have reported them.
