age of tomorrow(all you need is kill manga)and Alita are good anime adaptation done by Hollywood so far. but the best are done in home land Japan my favourites are crow zero series, rounin kenshin series, and death note.
I'm impressed quite a few of the move The Guyver does looks straight out of the anime, the anime was pretty brutal. The one you show with Guyver snapping both the hands that straight out of the anime.
That's like his real voice before he's voicing Solid Snake. And because of he makes his voice so "husky", his voice got weird and got his iconic tones we know today.
I had this on VHS and use to watch it every day, it was one of my favorite movies. Oh and surprisingly both movies were directed by same guy, who did FX for bunch of movies (Predator for example). Also monster suits were made by Screaming Mad George, which explains why monsters look so good in both movies. That dude is underrated FX master.
14:30 According Scott Adkins, this kick not belong to him. In fact, is named: "The Guyver Kick" in honor to the stunt actor inside the suit: Akihiro Noguchi. ua-cam.com/video/4BzGTiJ0k3k/v-deo.html
Hmm. In The Guyver, Guyver was primarily gray with some purple and blue highlights. Now in the sequel he's mostly blue. Just like Robocop. Kind of a weird coincidence.
Steve Wang has done awesome directorial stuffs, no wonder Kamen Rider Dragon Knight was so cool. Damn, I want to watch this more than the first one. But yeah the R-rated things were not there enough.
Holy Snake Eater. I never Know that David Hayter was an actor before he does video game voice acting O_o You know the old say. We learn something new everyday
This was my favorite childhood movie and you made it better by letting me realize David Hayter was the MC; but you left the most epic part out of mention. Best super hero CGI transformation when he jumps off the cliff and yells out all serious "Guyver!" Can I get that in 2020!?
I loved how true to the Manga the fights were in this,.. Guyver means "out of control".. and it was fucking brutal to those things.. he loved breaking fingers hands and arms back over themselves, and ramming his fingers through eyes and busting the brow ridges and shit,.. like,.. really brutal lol .. those orbs are also sensors and a defense system laser array, he has the power smasher in his chest, and the orb in his abdomen is something that can control gravity, and the suit amplifies combat ability, so basically nanosecond blade dashes and things getting ripped apart by things moving so fast you cant see it move lol... fuck i love Guyver :D
He's probably building up some viewer goodwill for when his band goes on tour again, or making up for his slower output before...I'm just glad that now there's four of my fave CA reviewers doing weekly shows for a while.
I remember asking my dad about how shit Superman 2 looked and he said "it looked great at the time". The problem with rose tinted glasses is that when anyone else wears them, they're just glasses.
Honestly. Guyver 2 feels more like the anime than the first one did. It wasn't 1 to 1 but, it definitely has that more serious tone and brings back the violence from the original anime
Say what you want about this movie, but as a child I loved this. I loved the Guyver anime series back in the day, so finding out there were two movies too was amazing to me. Although the first one was called Mutronics in the UK for some reason
i should point out that the Guyver anime (also not sure about the manga) never had a Zoanoid actually use a Guyver unit, so props to this movie having an original idea (again not sure if the manga did it but you get the point)
Nope, this was. First and only movie Villain to exist, and it kicks ass. But his design echos both Guyver 2 and Guyver 3! It's so Goddamn cool to see this!
Steve Wang said that the idea of a zoanoid getting it’s hands on a Guyver unit has always crossed his mind and wanted to incorporate it. He got the blessing from Yoshiki Takaya, the creator of Guyver to go ahead and use the concept.
I rented this from blockbuster a few years after it was released. I saw it after I saw the original. I liked it way more than the original; especially with the darker more violent tone. At the time it was released-1994 apearantly, it worked as a sequel revaeling more about the guyver unit and the zoanoids. The action was solid and bloody.(as in the manga and video anime series) Clearly there are issues with the acting and dialog. This is not great by 2000's standards.
Man...This was one of my favorite movies when I was in high school. And I just wish that we could have more adult-oriented tokusatsu. I would love to see a Guyver reboot, but only if they stick to tokusatsu tradition and use suits instead of CGI. We need more dudes in rubber monster suits beating the shit out of each other.
If I’m remembering correctly, his chest laser (the mega smasher) leaves the guyver unit drained. Not empty, but weak enough that if the attack fails, the fights basically over
William Schwartz Yeah but I wonder how it will look like the correct way of his transformation. A berrior forms around him, the Guyver armor appears behind him and breaks apart to reforms itself on him.
David Gales character was killed via mega smasher in Chronos Labs (Guyver 1) This Chronos Leader isn't named, nor do we know anything about him. I believe this to be Gyout from the manga series. But that's just my theory. I hope they provide a Guyver 3 film soon 15:00 Crane uses the Guyver. The Guyver grants unfortold power, amplifies the users strength by a thousand fold (to humans). When a Zoanoid uses a the Guyver Unit they become a Guyver Zoanoid. Much stronger than a human wearing a Guyver, however Cranes unit was damaged.
So apparently a time traveler suggested this movie
Dammit! Got to it b4 i could. Alls fair, here's a like.
Yep
Paul Osborn no you weren’t
I get that reference
Whats that mean? Are they making another attempt at guyver. Id be down if it was as good as the dredd movie.. lower budget but still impressive

Guyver Weapons
1. Head Beam: A weapon that converts access body heat into laser beams.
2: Vibration Blades: Blades that vibrate at a ultra high frequency, allowing them to cut through almost anything.
3: Pressure Cannon: Not only does the orb on the wearer's waist allow him to fly, but also releases force balls of mass pressure.
4. Sensors: The two orbs on top of the helmet allow the wearer to detect who's near.
5. Control Medal: The orb on the Guyver's skull is more than just for controlling the ship, it also keeps the armor's power amplification in check, and prevents the armor from losing control. When removed, the armor loses control and devours the wearer through disintegration. Crane having a damaged unit is likely to experience armor malfunction, bodily harm, and head splitting headaches.
6. Mega Smasher: The Mega Smasher is the Guyver's most powerful weapon, which resides in the armor's chest plate. It holds massive amounts of energy and can be released when the wear opens up the chest plate. When released, the massive energy beam reduces the target to nothing. It's only drawback is that there is a slight charge up delay, before it can fire.
Powers granted
1. Super strength
2. Incredible speed
3. Unparalleled agility
4. Enhanced durability
5. Invulnerable to conventional weapons (Bullets for example).
6. Can heal any injuries delivered to the wearer.
So there you have it, now you know what the Guyver can do, and what sort of powers and abilities it grants.
Plus the Guyver doesnt have that form. It has many forms too:
1. Guyver Gigantic:
.Energy Amps : They give the Gigantic the ability to produce an omni-directional forcefield similar to a Zoalord's Barrier. Usage of the power amps can include the control of surrounding body parts even if severed from the main body.
.Enhanced High Frequency Wave-Vibration Swords: They are now able to become flexible and can grow and curve to amazing distances.
.Tri Head Beam Orbs: The large center orb has fifteen times the intensity of a normal Guyver's Head Beam, and the two smaller orbs have the same output of a normal Guyver Head Beam.
.Vibration Globes: There are two more Vibration Globes at its mouth and they are concealed by plates that open out.
.Giga-Smasher : It is one hundred times more devastating than the Mega-Smasher because of the two extra Gravity Control Orbs, one embedded in each chest plate, which grants it extra power.
.Gravity Knuckle: A high-powered jab, mostly used in conjunction with the back thrusters, channeling energy into its fist for a powerful discharge upon target impact.
.Gravity Ram: By extending the chest spike and channeling energy into it, activating the Barrier shield and powering up all three gravity orbs, the Gigantic accelerates using the thrusters on his back. This has the same effect as seen caused by evil Aptom's high-frequency spear, which means the surrounding area is totally obliterated without any visible trace as though atomized.
Plasma Jets: On the back of the Gigantic are two large packs that sit right under the shoulder blades. These packs can be used to propel the Gigantic forward at incredible speed and an alarming rate, allowing it to fly much faster than before.
ugh, thank you!!!!! this is awesome to know, I LOVE GUYVER!!!!!!!~

Vibration Blades? So basically its Snake with the High-Frequency Blade?
sonic wave that can be used by the orbs in front of the mouth which is also a new abilitie

@@NeroLeMorte compared to the American adaptations...he's not wrong
age of tomorrow(all you need is kill manga)and Alita are good anime adaptation done by Hollywood so far.
but the best are done in home land Japan
my favourites are crow zero series, rounin kenshin series, and death note.
JaguarCats tell me about it this movie is the reason I got into Guyver
There I was, casually leaning in my chair when...
"Starring David Hayter", and suddenly I spring up, full attention.
I'm impressed quite a few of the move The Guyver does looks straight out of the anime, the anime was pretty brutal. The one you show with Guyver snapping both the hands that straight out of the anime.
It's rated R! Just say "Fuck" lol
Yeah I would love to see a Guyver remake it would be amazing they have the technology to make it better even more bad ass.
It's like one of my American Cartoons.
+Arachnid The Spider
Don't forget the piss the pants scene. We'll never let you live that down Otacon.
The facial effects on the monsters are surprisingly believable
Kudos for the MGS references since Hayter was the lead here. I really remember enjoying the final fight.
I'll be honest, the snake joke made me think my computer glitched or something.
Fulgrim2 Nooooooooooo⏱⏱⏱oooooooo
I hear its amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm in flap-jaw space with the tuning fork does a raw blink on Hari Kiri Rock. I need scissors! 61!
so the person that requested this is El Corona the hat of doom..... now that's spooky
Don't ever be ashamed of using DECAPITATIOOOON, Brandon! It will ALWAYS crack me up. :)
I still don't know where that came from.
Yea where is it from?
@@CPBoxsetPlaylists it's from the game Brutal Legend
Wow, the only cult movie Brandon Reviewed that actually has Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid.
Until he does Steve Wang's next movie "Drive"
snake as the guyver, perfect casting
I remember getting this movie recommended to me all the time in my first years on youtube. I miss it.
It's so weird hearing David Hayter go so light on his voice.
That's like his real voice before he's voicing Solid Snake. And because of he makes his voice so "husky", his voice got weird and got his iconic tones we know today.
This movie decided to grow with it's audience, I think that's why Guyver became rated R.
This movie reminded me of " Brandy and Mr Whiskers" 😊.
Gotta admit, this movie is one of my guilty pleasures
I had this on VHS and use to watch it every day, it was one of my favorite movies. Oh and surprisingly both movies were directed by same guy, who did FX for bunch of movies (Predator for example). Also monster suits were made by Screaming Mad George, which explains why monsters look so good in both movies. That dude is underrated FX master.
The action in guyver dark hero 2 is freaking on point. Lot of cool moments in this movie.
Solid Snake as The Guyver??? Badass...
Pretty awesome movies, I would love to see a 3rd one with modern effects.
i like to think this movie did more justice to the source material than the first movie
0:53
which rated G movie was that?
Thanks for uploading this,I had no idea david hayter was in this movie.Solid snake, naked snake"big boss"are two of my favorite characters.
Steve Wang has done awesome directorial stuffs, no wonder Kamen Rider Dragon Knight was so cool.
Damn, I want to watch this more than the first one. But yeah the R-rated things were not there enough.
sean was played by david hayter, the solid snake voice actor
"El Coronna The Hat Which Brings Doom To All" laughing my ass off XD
Still laughing your ass off?
We're not laughing anymore, eh?
This aged well
I swear! David Hayter is like Canadian Kotaro Minami (from Kamen Rider Black series) in this show.
Holy Snake Eater. I never Know that David Hayter was an actor before he does video game voice acting O_o You know the old say. We learn something new everyday
Doc.Voltacon
The more you know.
He also wrote the screen play for the first two x-men movies and he made a part in the first x-men he was the gard
Gravity cannon belt mounted, sonic blades on the forearms, and the mega smasher mounted in the chest.
Fun fact: This is where David Hayter got his cover name "Sean Barker" he uses in the Metal Gear credits.
This was my favorite childhood movie and you made it better by letting me realize David Hayter was the MC; but you left the most epic part out of mention. Best super hero CGI transformation when he jumps off the cliff and yells out all serious "Guyver!" Can I get that in 2020!?
nice touch with the power ranger theme song
14:30
dude you totally missed the opportunity to appreciate the BADASS GUYVER KICK!!
"The Corona; The hat that brings doom to all." 🧐 I thought I was good with foreshadowing..
It's bad but it's not as deadly as the media claims it to be lol 😂😂
2 REVIEWS IN UNDER A WEEK, WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO THE BRANDON WE KNOW AND LOVE!!!!!!!
He's probably building up some viewer goodwill for when his band goes on tour again, or making up for his slower output before...I'm just glad that now there's four of my fave CA reviewers doing weekly shows for a while.
HeckfireOG im not complaining, I'm happy he's doing this
El Corona the hat that brings Doom to all. Watching in 2020, this has terrifying implications.
OMG!!!
go and read the Manga, there's 29 volume in English
I remember asking my dad about how shit Superman 2 looked and he said "it looked great at the time". The problem with rose tinted glasses is that when anyone else wears them, they're just glasses.
The power ranger song fit so perfectly in.
God King Vegeta Like hell it didn’t!
@God King Vegeta The joke got old quick. Even worse when Decker did it
Honestly. Guyver 2 feels more like the anime than the first one did. It wasn't 1 to 1 but, it definitely has that more serious tone and brings back the violence from the original anime
Don't you mean Kamen Rider series from Showa era?
9:06 I don't know why, but I found that a bit adorable
16:01 So… he flashed him to death…
"El Coronna the hat which brings doom to all."
History channel: We got the ultimate proof that time travelers are among us.
Say what you want about this movie, but as a child I loved this. I loved the Guyver anime series back in the day, so finding out there were two movies too was amazing to me. Although the first one was called Mutronics in the UK for some reason
Weird seeing Snake before he was Snake. This is even where he got the voice from I think
This is one of my fave movies
I swear, this series can be brought out for today's audience, considering that the Technology today show some Kick ass fights!
i should point out that the Guyver anime (also not sure about the manga) never had a Zoanoid actually use a Guyver unit, so props to this movie having an original idea
(again not sure if the manga did it but you get the point)
Nope, this was. First and only movie Villain to exist, and it kicks ass. But his design echos both Guyver 2 and Guyver 3! It's so Goddamn cool to see this!
Steve Wang said that the idea of a zoanoid getting it’s hands on a Guyver unit has always crossed his mind and wanted to incorporate it. He got the blessing from Yoshiki Takaya, the creator of Guyver to go ahead and use the concept.
@@ShinRyojin that is legit awesome
Fucking awesome video sir!
I’ve never seen anything related to guyver. Looks like kamen rider and I love it
14:57 did you just quote the earthworm jim show?
Correct! It was Earthworm Jim. You get a heartfelt No Prize. I was gonna mention it, but decided to scan the comments, first.
knowing that that show can start a meme, that's prize enough for me
Honesty, this is one of the best live-action manga/anime adaptations out there. And an American one at that!
Love this movie.
15:02 Or Solid and Liquid Snake...
Imagine a cross over of Guyver, The Demolisonist and Doctor Mordrid
Please....stop, I can only get so hard.
Not empty, but weak enough that if the attack fails, the fights basically over
0:06 "El Coronna The Hat Which Brings Doom To All" ???! Fuuuuuuuu
😳😳😳
I do enjoy the transformation sequence as he jumps off the cliff.
William Schwartz Yeah but I wonder how it will look like the correct way of his transformation. A berrior forms around him, the Guyver armor appears behind him and breaks apart to reforms itself on him.
ImTheStrongest Agreed!
Will you ever review David Cronenberg's "Videodrome"?
This movie may be silly, but I love the work they did on the costumes and practical effects
Holly shit, that patreon supporter was a psychic !!!!
What...no "Go Go Power Rangers" theme for the fight between her father and the two Zoanoids? Really?
Now review devilman!
oh god
that movie is my dbz evolution.......10 mins of good 3 hours OF PURE FUCKING BULL SHIT ..........
"Jinmen im gonna make you sorry you exist, im gonna rip you limb from limb you shit"
(Devilman - Demon Bird)
Mr Jimbo. The old one or Crybaby?
The live-action movie? ;)
David Gales character was killed via mega smasher in Chronos Labs (Guyver 1)
This Chronos Leader isn't named, nor do we know anything about him. I believe this to be Gyout from the manga series. But that's just my theory. I hope they provide a Guyver 3 film soon
15:00 Crane uses the Guyver.
The Guyver grants unfortold power, amplifies the users strength by a thousand fold (to humans).
When a Zoanoid uses a the Guyver Unit they become a Guyver Zoanoid. Much stronger than a human wearing a Guyver, however Cranes unit was damaged.
