You just helped take a good amount of guilt off my shoulders, and you also affirmed a lot of the things that I already do that I wasn’t sure if I was doing right.
This traveling lifestyle has been absolutely amazing and absolutely exhausting at the same time, lol .
19 months in… About four more months to go and we’re probably going to plant for a while. 2 months at each destination.
Some days have been very difficult, but we wouldn’t change it for the world! We would do it differently maybe, now that we’ve learned much… But we wouldn’t change the wonderful experience, learning and growing that we have had. Thanks for your hard work and generosity to share and teach.
May God bless you everywhere you go!❤
Thank you so much for sharing your experiences, Brenda!
Aaaahh Nora, I'm a big fan from Bulgaria. If you're in Sofia and need any help with anything, let me know, I'd be happy to help. Hope you enjoy your time here!
Thanks! I've actually moved on from Bulgaria for the moment, but I'm pretty sure I'll return :-)
Awe so cool I'm in Albania rn but planning on coming to Bulgaria ❤
@@mp6567 Enjoy! Bulgaria is beautiful.
This is very helpful and concrete. I am retired but I want my day to have value…so I make a list every night of what I want to accomplish the next day. This includes an exercise routine I can do anywhere (I also love to travel) and which, like you, I do first thing in the morning; routine tasks which I will otherwise just “forget”, like cleaning that £$% bathroom; time for learning something new (currently Arabic and Italian) and connecting with friends. Your eronomics tips are great - I will definitely take the stand with me. I invariably end the day with the pleasant thought that I have grown as a person that day. And sometimes I just change the routine for fun. If I do, however, I don’t just throw out the list of things I had intended to do, I just move them on to the next day. It works, if you stay open to life and new experiences, and continue to live with some healthy discipline. I love your videos!
Thanks for sharing your own work-life balance strategy! Very similar. And great point about the healthy discipline - an essential ingredient!
I realized that the equilibrium work life is a practice, you never reach the perfect balance, there's even no perfect, even balance, like travel is a quest, a search, not a goal or a destination... I want to hear what you think and do to the lonely wanderlust feeling, in that area i love to see your videos when I'm eating all over the world, Im now in the canaruas and at the middle of the video I realized that I had seen it in a ramen restaurant in Japan!! Thank you so much and keep on!!!! Thanks again
Thank you so much! And I agree wholeheartedly that work-life balance is an ever-evolving practice, rather than something that can be achieved with any degree of finality.
Re: loneliness - I speak a bit about it in this more recent vid: ua-cam.com/video/c8GlNrVjmls/v-deo.htmlsi=OpOVhLjJ7ruLj-9n
Love your channel and it is my go to guide and inspiration for being a PT nomad. These work/life tips can be used for my corporate colleagues and will be sharing your video with them..
Awesome! Thank you!
Thanks for the great intro and the insightful “rant”
Ha ha! Thanks Boda :-)
That was incredibly helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for these work/life balance tips! We can all benefit with any or all of these! 😁❤️💯
So glad!
Great tips! Thank You!!
With pleasure!
Thanks! I really appreciate your videos/blog. I'm in the research stage of becoming a digital nomad. In a few short years I'll finally be an empty nester and will be able to get back to my nomadic traveler dream after an over 2 decade detour. I have past experiences (incl. ups/downs) with solo travel life that gave me the taste for this lifestyle. At that time there was no digital work - just hospitality industry hopping. Now that I'm older and know what I can/can not handle, I'm looking forward to trying digital work while slow traveling- hopefully being my final "career". Once I get over the tech learning (and business establishing - going to start a blog and looking into being digital researcher) hurdles, your info is a huge help for transitioning back into this lifestyle. Thanks!
WOw - thanks Celeste! I'm excited for this new chapter of your life.
@@NoraDunn Thanks! Me too. - Now that my kids don't need me much, I'm finally focusing on my health and my lifelong (literally - as a kid I wanted to be a NG Explorer) dream.
@@Celeste-new49 I'm SO glad you're getting a chance to live your lifelong dream!
@@NoraDunn thanks!
Love your vids as always. Def relate to this one! Working first thing in the morning is definitely the top tip - I love that once I've gotten it out of the ay, I can feel free to do anything I want in the afternoons/evening.
@Nora Dunn Did you get that necklace on ModCloth? I had one just like it many years ago but it broke and I was devastated. Haven't been able to find a replacement since.
I'm glad you're also a morning-get-stuff-done person! I vastly prefer it.
As for the necklace, I got it at a conference, but I think this one is the same or similar: amzn.to/3ZWaMJJ
OMG! I have spent so much time trying to find the right yogurt!
LOL I'm so glad it's not just me ;-)
I work fixed hours and the biggest challenge I have found is time zone differences. Anywhere in Europe/UK has me working till dark, even though I only work 6 hours a day. Back in my time zone, it's ideal - I work from early morning and am done by early afternoon - plenty of time to enjoy the day. But when I start working between 12pm and 2pm and finish working just before sunset or well after dark, it doesn't work quite as nicely. I'm not the sort to go on all sorts of adventures in the morning before work, so that's not really a solution. Adjusting my hours also doesn't work, because most of my clients are in the EST time zone, so starting earlier would mean meeting with them in the middle of the night. So I wind up cramming everything (jaunts, tasks) into my one day off... where I just want to relax....
The time zone thing can be a challenge, if you need to be available for clients/colleagues during certain hours.
@@NoraDunn Yep - I tell my clients (when they wax envious), 'it's a lifestyle, not an ideal'.
@@MM-Iconoclast WOW! Great line. (I might use it) :-)
@@NoraDunn 🙂
Love boundries
Thanks Theresa!
i knew the name was familiar - from SNL lol
Yep! Nailed it :-)
HaHa…It’s a good thing you’ve learned about working backwards to plan your day. You’ll need this trick as you age. ;-).
Ooh - really? Interesting!
