Man, I love this chest but it’s jam packed with content, now. Absolutely nothing else fits inside. The toughest part was figuring out how to fit all the mats. I like your idea of using the Lab Rats to avoid the bowing and maybe even help with making them all fit easier.
Lol I know it’s pretty insane how jam packed it is now. And for some reason I’m still hoping they come out with another gearloc eventually haha. But yea I agree, the mats were annoying, I couldn’t stand them bending that much from the stitched edging, so lab rats for the win helping there. Hope you’re doing well and had a good Father’s Day brotha.
@@BrewsandBoardgames lol another gearloc? madness. there's so much content here they don't need to come out with anything else for at least a couple years. plus anymore content and they'd have to create another trove box to fit everything. yeah, no. they need to wait a few years before they make their trovebox obsolete.
That lab rat storage idea is dope. I would have stuck thin pieces of cardboard or wood in but the lab rats work perfect and need to go in there anyways. Good thinking bro
Thanks brotha, a piece of cardboard in there would have been a good idea as well. Only problem then is there wouldn't be any room for the lab rat mats at that point. When are you taking the TMB plunge? lol

Just to clear up the Gearloc Child storage issue: If your gearloc child box is 173mm wide (6.75") it will not fit. The gearloc trays are 195mm and the trove chest is 360mm deep so it is off by about 8mm.
Greg! Thanks brotha really appreciate it. And I’m glad you said that, because I 100% agree. There’s just something about going through great components, and having them organized well that just feels good, it’s fun. Looking forward to chatting with you on the next stream dude!
Very nice. I haven’t put the new unbreakable stuff in the trove chest yet. I went ahead and put the recipe cards right on top of carcasses dice and they stay fine. Give him a little lift but I put him on the where you have Polaris. I also like putting the gearloc sheets with the character playmats but that might only work for me because I don’t have 3 of the gearlocs
Nice man! I did even think about if the cards would fit ontop of the dice in Carcass's tray, but never tried it. Cool to hear it works. Also really like the idea of the reference sheets in with the mats, that way you can pull out both when choosing a Gearloc. But yea when you get those other 3 Gearlocs, might not be able to do that. Also dude I wanted to tell you, do you remember the Sentinels of the Multiverse giveaway I did on the live stream a while back? You WON that dude haha. I tried reaching out by responding to one of your comments on a video of mine. So email me at BrewsandBoardgamesYT@gmail.com so I can send you the game!
This won't work for you because of all of the card boxes, but I put the canisters of scar tokens and Splice and Dice pegs in with the tyrant trays (one in each). I no longer have the box for the Gearloc child, so it's stuff is a little spread out: the dice are with Riffle, the mat is in the top tray (along with a Tyrant tray for the Abomination of Shale), and the cards are in a deck box full of additional character stuff. The additional character stuff deck box has Carcass' cards, the Gearloc Child cards, the baggie of Gale's tokens, and the baggie of Polaris's orbs. That deck box and Riffle's box of cards are stored where you have the Gearloc Child. Thank you for the idea of stacking the lab rat mats throughout the other mats. Like you I have one drawer with only 3 baddie trays and the card holder (I chucked the map markers in there), but I did it just to keep the weight of the tray a little lighter. My Splice and Dice live in their bag next to the dice trays (where everyone seems to put the canisters), but if I culled out some attack and defense dice (I have an entire tray of them, plus a row and a half in a second tray), the S/D dice would fit in the trays. Thank you for all of your ideas, though, it's very interesting to see the different approaches to storage.
Hey thanks for sharing how you store yours! And you're right, very interesting to see the different approaches. Who knows, maybe one day it'll be like car shows, scheduled meetups where everyone brings their customized Trove Chest and you can walk around to see how they're all decked out haha. But I kind of like the idea of storing some deck boxes where I have the Gearloc child. If I make and adjustments down the road I might look into taking that approach. Thanks again for your take and ideas. How have you been liking Unbreakable so far?
My dude love the video and the content and the work you put in keep it up and I will keep watching. Question I backed unbreakable and I don't know if this has been asked but where did you get the extra stickers for all the new characters for the trove chest?
Yooo! Hey dude thanks for saying that I really appreciate it. Really means a lot. Great question, I bought that in the Unbreakable campaign, there was a pack of Gearloc & Tyrant trays, which also included some extra stickers. I just checked CTG's site and dont see it on their, but I believe it should be coming soon. All I see is a 2 tray gearloc pack. You could reach out to support, CTG has some of the best customer support in the game. Hope that helps dude, thanks again!

Great video, lots of good ideas to make the storage more efficient I love it! I see I'm not the only one with various attack/defence dice colors, they are darker and I also noticed the icons on the UB dice are smaller, not sure how I feel about that!
Hey thanks a lot! Appreciate you checking out the video and for the support. Yea I believe I even got those different colored Atk/Def with Undertow. They honestly kind of grew on me and now I just mix my trays with some of each color lol. But yea I did notice some of the icons on the UB dice are smaller, the round die and I believe the lane dice. I even think my yellow lane die color was way off lol. Probably hard to keep the exact formatting between runs. Thanks again!

Great video bud!!! I have a silly question and maybe you already answered this but, I was wondering when is a good time to get the trove chest. I mean like I have the new smaller base set of TMB along with, 40 Days, Tyranny, Guillie, Riffle, Gearloc Child, a few promos and premium chips. Is this too early to want the trove?
Disclosure, I don’t not own the trove chest. The chest is very premium and looks super useful if you own enough of the game. I just got my pledge in for undertow, unbreakable, 40 waves, 40 caves, rage of tyranny and the 4 new gearlocs. I previously had base, 40 days, age of tyranny, ghillie and nugget. I am contemplating getting the trove chest now due to the premium nature and phenomenal storage. However, I was able to fit all of what I own (which is close to an all-in and just missing maybe 4-5 gearlocks and splice and dice which I have no interest in) into the core boxes and the age of tyranny and 40 days boxes. So I have a total of 5 smallish boxes. They are portable and easy enough to find what I’m looking for. Moving the trove chest seems like a complete pain in the butt and cannot be brought to a friends house. Plus it’s expensive and not in stock very often. I’d advise against it for as long as possible unless your going to get significantly more content. Kind of in the mindset of I really don’t want to spend any more money on this game.
If you don’t plan on buying more TMB, I think you’re fine without the chest. However, if you end up buying more, then consider it. The reason being is that there’s going to be a lot of empty Gearloc cases as well as empty spaces in the chest if you don’t plan on buying more. The chest is expensive and is only worth it if you have most or all of the TMB content.
Hey what’s up brotha! Thank you dude and great question. I’ll reiterate what others have said, depends on if you’re going to get more content. I think you’d be fine without the chest for now with what you have. But if you’re finding you’re loving the game, definitely plan on getting more, starting to dislike multiple boxes of stuff, then yea man go for it. You could always just hold off, play what you have a bunch, then decide after that. Hope that helps a bit, I know it can be a tough call for something like this for around $150 for just storage. But definitely helps if you have so much. Hope you see you on the next livestream brotha.
Good feedback, and just to add to it, yea there’s no way to transfer the trove chest. It’s too heavy and bulky and could probably easily be damaged in transport. If I ever take the game somewhere else, I’m using an empty game box and filling it with only essentials and maybe a handful of gearlocs to choose from.
Good feedback here dude. Agreed, for the expense, I’d probably only look at it if you have too much content and can’t stand all the individual boxes, or love the game and definitely plan on getting more.
Hi, in my trove chest, I cannot fit the gearloc child box with dice trays for gearlocks, is there something wrong with my trove chest? I tired fitting it exactly like on the clip, but it's just not going in there, is my gearlock child box different size?
Hey there! Yes I believe the new gearloc child boxes are a different size. There was another comment about that as well. I think in that case I might just throw the gearloc child mat in the top shelf and 3 dice in one of the dice trays, removing some atk or def. And the mat could fit easier if you took out one of the rulebooks.
I have the riffle deckbox and a box with the lab rat cards, carcass recipes, gearlock child and it's dice in the same drawer as the characters, the child itself is also in that drawer.
@@hoflpeter ahh I actually like that idea a lot. Also really helps with people that have the newer box of the gearloc child as well, because it can’t fit like I showed with mine. Thanks for the input man really cool to hear!
I just found out the hard way also... 😩 I really liked the idea of storing the gearloc child in that slot but why they had to go and make the box slightly longer ughh
Also, if you ditch the child’s box, you’ve got room for another tuckbox that I use to keep loot used in the last playthrough. After another playthrough has been had, shuffle them back in with the rest and throw the new batch of used loot in there so you’re always seeing new loot!

Funny, but the Gearloc Child box doesn't fit in the Gearloc tray in the box. The size of something must have change...
Yea apparently the size of the gearloc child box has changed
For the Tyrants- combine the 2 Build-a-Tyrants and Automaton can have it's own tray. >
i dont have automaton. build-a-tyrant takes 2 different tyrant trays
I like to keep my epilogue cards with their respective tyrants. That’d clear up almost an entire tuckbox for you.
Also, if you ditch the child’s box, you’ve got room for another tuckbox that I use to keep loot used in the last playthrough. After another playthrough has been had, shuffle them back in with the rest and throw the new batch of used loot in there so you’re always seeing new loot!
thought your thumbnail was an official CTG video
That's a great compliment brotha, thanks!
I just bought everything just because merry Xmas to me 😂
I also know it’s been almost a half a year since you made this video. Why not get a label maker. You can also upload different symbols on the label.
The New Gearlock Child box will NOT fit in that space.
Oh no they changed the size of the gearloc child box? I wasn’t aware of that, is it too wide or something?
@@BrewsandBoardgames too long
AND too wide 😆
