Hi, thanks for the tips, good narration, felt really soothing! I once downloaded it and played for a bit a long time ago(After I finished witcher 3 and fell in love with gwent!). Needed a reminder on the basics as it is a bit more complex than the one in witcher, it's been of good help, hoping to learn more!
Great video for new players. Tips are good, make sense and really ground work that seems easy to understand :) And love the switch in scenes on the video. Good work on this one :) About the question: Honestly, its been so long since i started and then re-started Gwent, i dont know anymore!
It's actually good to sometimes use your one of the best cards in R1 since like you can have 2 playstyles i your deck for example my deck: (Geralt quen) Vesemir mentor+ erland that already creates like 30 points And then i can create witchers from keldar and change them into griffin witcher adept and using also target practice to make 3witchers in 1 round so tou already get alot of points *Pssst* griffin witcher adept is complete wrecking ball against bleeding!
Take a closer look at the cards. All of the key words related to that card are explained. You may have to click and hold or double click to see the full description, depending on what platform you're playing on. It will take some time to learn everything to do with Gwent, but that's what makes it such a great game! Take some time to go into your deck builder and just read the cards. Stick to your favourite faction for now, until you start to get the hang of things.
@@theartfulrogerseven then I’m confused about a few… it says bloodthirst or etc. but how do u apply that ? Or stuff like that where it doesn’t really explain it
@@Puppy_Puppington Everything is explained in the cards description. You may have to click and hold on the card or double click, depending on what platform you play on. This will bring up the full description of each keyword. Bloodthirst requires a certain amount of enemy units to be damaged to be able to use the ability or for the ability to work. Bloodthirst I believe is only used by the faction Skellige. For example. The card 'An Craite Warcrier' has the ability "Bloodthirst 1: At the end of your turn boost self by 1. So if you have damaged one of the enemy cards, your An Craite Warcrier will boost by 1 at the end of the turn. *Note, a damaged card needs to be below its base power, which will be shown in red if damaged. It will be shown in white if it's undamaged and in green if its boosted above its base power. Gwent has quite a high learning curve, but that's what makes it such a great game. There's so much depth and strategy. The more you play and learn, the easier things will become. I actually think the faction Skellige can be a little complicated if you're just starting. I would suggest Monsters, Northern Realms or Scoia'tael.
@@Puppy_Puppington I replied with a huge message but its disappeared! 😡 The card description explains everything to do with keywords like Bloodthirst. To see the full description, you may have to click and hold or double click on the card. I'm not talking about the ability written on the card, there's a full description that explains all of the key words that is pulled up separately. Bloodthirst requires you to damage a certain amount of enemy cards for the bloodthirst ability to work. So, bloodthirst 1 means you need to have 1 damaged enemy card for the ability to work. You use other cards or even your leader ability to meet the bloodthirst requirements. So it takes a bit of planning beforehand.
Man, fuck Gwent. I suck at this shit. Started playing four days ago, and I'm already going against enemies who go 40 points higher than me in round three.
lol. That tends to happen if you don’t know what ur doing… and come on man … nerds make fun of gwent, cause it’s basic & easy…. Probably the one of the most if not easiest card game ever. Don’t go into it blind unless you have the ability to piece together things & learn from mistakes.
Hello ! What is something you wish you knew before you started playing Gwent ?
I wish I knew... that *locking* a defender will *not* stop the defender doing its defending work, but *purify* will. *Great* video btw, Purple!
