I really don't know how many times your videos have helped me but honestly, it is a bunch. I really appreciate your work.
Thanks.
You saved me so much time and effort!, i followed a tutorial for upgrading my Anycubic Kossel Plus with this board but it just didn't work, turns out i missed the INVERT_X_DIR for the motors, after noticing that detail everything worked, thank you for yout simple and complete step by step, really nice video!
You're welcome.
Hello, how can I be more precise? Because my motor Y vibrates when it prints slow
On the latest V3 TMC2209 drivers the jumper position under the drivers for UART is different. I just wasted 3 days trying to figure out what was wrong. I was getting an "all low" error all the time. The older drivers have the jumper on pins 5 and 6 counting down from the board side, on the V3 drivers the jumper goes diagonally between pins 2 and 6.
how do i fix an usb error on the upload? And my pc doent see my 3d printer. if you can help thank you
When you want to run the TMC2209 in stand alone mode on for example E0 and Z0, do you need to bend the pin on the stepper driver and keep all the jumpers in?
Unsure, reason being I cover most often used configuration. It would be better to use tmc2208 if you want to do it that way. Standalone in my opinion has little value add to printer experience.
@Ed's 3d Tech Thanks. This was easy to follow and understand. Have you done any work with closed loop drivers?
I have one but don't use one. They a less precise and cost a lot more, so I don't cover them.
I have a MKS TMS 2209 V2.0 drivers. Do they also work on the SKR 1.4 Turbo? Can't find any instructions to that.
Most people use BTT tmc2209, but the chip in both steppers is the same. The stepper board layout may vary by silkscreen. Not sure the answer is clear, but I'll try maybe tonight on livestream at 6PM EST.
hello .... do you have any idea why my CR10S, after putting marlin 2.1, prints all the layers always on the first one?!? the Z axis does not want to be raised during printing .... in homing and in bed leveling everything is fine but during printing it does not want to know ... ideas? I mount the BigTreeTech SKR 1.4 Turbo with TMC2209 drivers. Greetings
Might be better to explain on Discord with a video link in general chat.

Ek olarak, bellenimi SD Karttan yanıp söndükten sonra, PID'yi Repetier Host'ta ayarlayacağım sırada sensörlerden sıcaklık değerini okuyamıyorum.
Yardım ederseniz sevinirim.
İyi günler
Hi Edward...I have Skr1,4 turbo board and 4 x DRV8825...I could only adjust the Z axis...the other homing not working correctly...Can I adjust sensorless with this stepdrivers...
Unfortunately drv8825 do not have sensorless homing capabilities.
Why do you theorize homing is not working?
Hello.
I have a 3D printer from anycubic S.
Recently replaced motherboard with skr,
but I can't get the all axis endstops to work.Driver is TMC2209
Pls tell me🙏
How do you mean? What happens when you home each axis?
@@EdwardBraiman
No matter how many times I press the switch, all the axes won't stop.
With sensorless homing, you do not need switches.
So you power the board with 12V and connect it via USB to the computer at the same time?
Yup.
Just run off same power strip.
skr 1.4 turbo and tmc2209 v2 driver sensörless homing working ? and sensörless homing we need jumper settings ? or not need jumper settings. just software sensörless settings enough ?
Thank you.
Currently BTT does not produce a v2.0 of TMC2209 stepper. If it's another brand of stepper it may or may not work the same.
@@EdwardBraiman sensörless homing we need jumper settings ? or not need jumper settings. just software sensörless settings enough ?
Jumper settings maybe the same, but you'd need to see if wiring of steppers is the same and verify datasheets. Are you using a different manufacture of stepper?
@@EdwardBraiman You just installed the uart jumper on the skr 1.4 turbo motherboard. You did not use any other jumpers for sensorless homing. Is this true? For example, an extra jumper is installed for sensorless homing on the mks sgen motherboard.
If memory serves me I just installed stepper jumpers, but there's a link in description to motherboard manual.
So you don't have to connect the endstops on the board?
If you're configured with sensorless homing.
@@EdwardBraiman I did everything in your tutorial except that the Y just wants to keep on going, but can't go any further. It makes a rattling noise at the endstop. Everything else just seems to work fine though. :(
What's the setting for sensitivity on homing?
@@EdwardBraiman I changed the numbers and sort of works fine.

What awg ferrules do you use?
Depends, normally pick ferrule based on where it stops on wire insulation.
