Thanks! I like especially that you talk relative slowly with a good pronunciation. That does unfortunately not happen in many videos these days. And no useless background music - another big plus. I listened to your information but until now I know next to nothing about the subject so I am not able to comment how good your information is. It sounds good. Thanks.
Thank you Edward! Thanks to this video I am no longer afraid of Marlin and/or SPI. I have couple of 5160 purchased a year a go and still in their original packaging.
I noticed that the Makerbase MKS Nano Robin v3 board is like this board you tested with. I have the Bigtreetech TMC5160 driver installed on the extruder slot. I hope I don't have to do no fancy wiring to get it running.
So for SPI you need a jumper on each one? I currently have SKR 1.4T with TMC2209 in UART for sensorless homing running Klipper... I think it only uses one jumper but I cant remember. Would I put a jumper on each one for sensorless homing as well?
Bigtree should thank you for been advocate for their product. I wish they could send you SKR Pro 1.2 as there is no information on UA-cam for this card. SKR 1.4 I am guessing they have all out of stock seem like they are pushing v1.2
The only reason I came here was to see how the SPI is hooked-up between CPU and TMC5160. But you skipped-over that, in spite of having "SPI" in your title. So I had to Thumb-Down this video (deceptive clickbait; contents do not much title).

You're welcome.

Great walkthrough(s)! Very detailed and clear voice over. Watched a few of your videos, you’ve earned a new subscriber! 👍
Thank you.

Configuration for TMC2209 is another video. Also Klipper configuration might vary for sensitivity in Klipper.
@@EdwardBraiman I dont need help with TMC2209 lol. I went from TMC2209 to TMC5160 but I got it figured out so all good.
what is the difference between tmc 5160 v1. and tmc5160 v1.2
Not much different between two but datasheet will show differences.

I have one, but SKR 1.1 playlist covers most of what you're looking for. The motherboard name will vary in configuration.h.
