    Hey, me again, lol. I was scrolling through some of your other videos and came across this one. I'm saving up right now to do a rear stretch like you did, and I am planning to also use the Motobilt fuel tank. Looks GREAT!!! ❤❤

      Roger Cox it’s really awesome it opens up what you can do with the Jeep without damaging parts, when crawling I never have to bounce on anything if it’s dry. I have the high pinion Dana 30 in front and Ford 8.8 in the rear with ARB’s, and since the Jeep is small the 35’s don’t limit me much here in Florida. Thanks so much for watching! 🍻

      Adventure Every Mile so I got in an agreement about this with my brother haha, I’m on Dana 30 (truss/gusset and sleeved). I wanted to go dual transfer, but he said it would 2x the force on my axles. I don’t see how that would be the case, same force on tire turning, just slower and no bouncing. You think it adds extra force and would break my I joints all the time?

      Roger Cox the transfer multiplies torque to the wheels, if you bind a tire in between a rock and it’s locked and can’t move and you have a manual transmission and you keep going then yes the transfer case can multiply torque enough to snap things like a twig. But you are not going to just snap or break parts just because you have multiple low ranges. Knowing when something like that is happening is key. Other than that it’s been the best thing I have done to this Jeep. The setup you have with your 30 is great just RCV and it can handle a lot with a lighter rig.

      Adventure Every Mile yeah that makes a lot of sense. Yeah I got a good deal on some Dana 60’s so ima pop those in there with some coilovers and H1 beadlocks!

    What rear fenders did you use on this comp cut? Also, I can’t tell if you have full corner guards because it’s all color matched so well.

      The rear fenders are metal cloaks but I cut them and welded them so they would be straight. The metal cloak fenders have a mounting plate. I think I modified that too. It’s been a while and I sold limbo 18 months ago.

    Did you move front spring hangers when stretched rear or running xj springs in rear and still spring under?

    I can understand the mishap of not videoing the stretch and tank relocation, but a quite review of them installed would be great. Shock relocation, how the was manufactured by Motobilt, etc.
    Just now going through the many vids to catch up, but did you upgrade the front D30R axle shafts? 2 ways for the YJ, disconnect removed or not removed. Swapping in TJ shafts with the 760 series joint or keep the disconnect and swap in the 760 series disconnect axle shaft. Replacing all other shafts: drivers inner and both stubs to get a complete 760 series ujoint in the front shafts.

      Michael Moran I went with stock tj passenger axle shafts and ditched the CAD setup. I would like to go rcv at some point with a truss and run 37’s. Thanks for watching! I have been thinking of an in depth rig overview, may have to do that one soon! Thanks for suggesting it.

    I saw a video where a guy said you have to shift the atlas while your moving is that true? Or is it like a NP231 where you can clutch in and slightly rock the vehicle to find the sweet spot?

    • @adventureeverymile8135
      @adventureeverymile8135  4 роки тому

      Roger Cox a slight roll is best but to shift the planetary you have to be stopped in neutral, advance adapters recommends. I have still shifted while stopped but sometimes the case doesn’t like it and I will need to get it to roll. Maybe I will put a video up of shifting through all 4 speeds. What do you think?

    What axle and transfer case ratios are you running (Atlas 11.7)?
    How does it behave on the road; any noise?

    • @adventureeverymile8135
      @adventureeverymile8135  4 роки тому +2

      dmcgreg I’m running 4.10 in the axle and 10.38 is the lowest range of the atlas. With a 1:1 in 2wd high the Jeep drives the same as stock, except the wheel base stretch has made it so much more stable at highway speeds. 70 finally feels really good and I have no sway bars or track bars. The only noise I have is from the tires. When I bought the milestars they had zero noise but I’m about 18000 miles deep in them and there is a little road noise but nothing annoying.

      @@adventureeverymile8135 Thanks for the feedback!
      I've been thinking about upgrading to the Atlas for some time, but as my rig is a daily driver I've been wondering about the road manners.
