when I was young my dad listened to this album over and over, and the intro to Steam Forest would scare me in the dark, but now it gives me such a sense of calm... Whenever I feel out of place, Andreas' music always brings me back to center. I can't thank him enough for such beautiful music.

In the early 90's, I had the pleasure of experiencing him live in Atlanta, GA, USA. I still don't have the vocabulary to fully expressed the wonder that I experienced. On thing I remember vividly is how it appeared that he held the harp and "massaged" the harp as you would a beautiful woman. His eyes were closed through much of his playing. It was quite the beautiful experience.

Been listening to Vollenweider since 1984. He is endowed with great songs and performances but damn, this rendition of Steam Forrest is something else.

Andreas Most Beautiful & Dreamy Song. Always Loved this one. His Down To The Moon cd was the first one I ever heard on the 94Q Jazz Fusion station in the 80's at the time.(1986 is when the album came out) Hosted by Russ Davis. He played All The Best Music like this. Have been a fan ever since!

Where the hell was I that I didn't find this guy until a few short years ago? I don't keep much recorded music on my phone, but I have Vollenweider.
