    Can you please do a video where you actually do the measurements on a road bike? I got six year old Canyon Endurace, but I know they changed the geometry to be more relaxed on the newer models so now Im kind of stuck because I don't want a less racier bike and don't know if the new Aeroroad is too racy.

    The height and inseam measurements are not enough to decide what size you should choose. In case you have shorter legs than average of people of let's say 182cm height and longer body /arms than average of people of same height this will surely make the size L better for you than the size Canyon suggested you to buy

      The best thing to do is to measure your current bike compared to the canyon geometry measurement.
      If you can just about fit or if it’s very close on the lager size then I would go for it just to make that one aspect easier.

    • @cyclingunboxed
      @cyclingunboxed  5 місяців тому +1

      It’s going to be a tough call.
      The ultimate is a fairly long bike as well. It will be more stretched out than the EDR. The ultimate and Aeroad also tend to come out slightly large as well so that’s something to keep in mind.
      Other options:
      Bike fit. A bike fit on a rig that can be infinitely adjusted will let you find the exact measurements that you need. And then you can compare those to the two canyon sized. It’s fairly pricey but nothing compared to buying the wrong bike!
      If you do end up with 650b wheel, continental do do a 650b gp5000 str which is my main road bike tyre that I like to run.
      One of the fastest tyres you can buy with good puncture resistance.
      If you have any more thoughts let me know!

      do you have a current bike you can compare the geometry too?
      Canyons tend to come out a little large and long (Aeroad and ultimate specifically) so sizing down on those models might be better.
      If you don’t have a current bike to compare, I would really recommend just finding any bike of any brand in a shop and trying it first to for the right size. You can then compare the measurements of that bike to the canyon ones. All brands should have a geometry section online.
