I had no idea that was a feature, I kept getting annoyed by pointing to them Lil arrows under the menus so I could move them eye level, but holding the side trigger and pointing to the bottom menu you can move both menus together, the top menu you can move left right, and zoom waaaay out! But it also worked on the 2d games I was playing.

As long as your pc is capable and you have good wifi its fine. When using pcvr with the pico 4 your are only using the screen and controllers and not the pico cpu, thats the pcs job

Important questions that leads me to go for Quest Pro. For development and resources available, the Quest just works. Not sure about other headsets within the same price range.
With the v51 ptc the Quest Pro now has global PCVR Local Dimming using Link or Air Link (not yet with Virtual Desktop). Since the lower quality Pico 4 screens can’t do this it’s kind of a no brainer which is best. It will be interesting to see if the Q3 will be capable of LD or not. I believe you’ve speculated that it won’t.

You could use Immersed to have multiple virtual screens. It is really useful in Pico due to the increased resolution over Quest
