- Please leave people alone who are in their place of peace and happiness. You have no idea what it may have took to get them there! Most importantly ask yourself, why does it bother me?
Amen! Cared for both of my parents through their illnesses. Stood by my moms bed with my sisters and we prayed as she left this realm. My parents died 3 months apart. Then my husband died. I'm here and happy and whole today because God said so and I received it! So don't ask me why I'm smiling go ask God.

God always talks to me through you and even tho I don't have my mother anymore nor my father. When I hear your voice it makes me feel safe and reminds me to keep going throughout the pain and hurt. Our God loves us💜💜🙏🏿🙏🏿

Tabitha! You once again nailed it and when I say this message was perfect timing. Someone tried to rain on me and my boyfriend's joy very recently and if anything I'm praying for them. I really am. I've been there where I've watched my mother suffer, take her last breath, laid a sister to rest at the age of 24, battle a health condition that I'm still not in remission from till this day within myself...but at the end of the day...I'm here! God gave me purpose and life and as long as I'm capable of doing so, I will continue to work within my ministries. This word really hit home today with the darkness that tried to cloud over our joy and happiness. Thank you once again. You are such a blessing. 🙏🏾

This made me cry when she said “depression and came out of it”. That was me. And I’m on the other side now - joy. It was through my depression and suicidal thoughts that I found God. Through death, I found God and it was the greatest joy I ever had. I have a tattoo that symbolizes it. I have a black cross with the suicide symbol in the middle and bright water colors around the cross representing the joy I live now.
This touched me! May God continue to bless you and cover you. And may you forever hold on to that joy🤍

Well said I just had surgery for to remove lung cancer. I thank God I made it through the surgery now going through my total healing thank you Lord don't feel like smiling but I will anyway because I know God is bringing me out. PTL 🙌🏿👏🏾🤲🏾🙏🏽❤😊

My, my, my! What a word! I used to be that person in my 20s! Through retrospection I thought that God cared for and blessed others and had forgotten me. I was going through some dark times. As I grew into my 30s, 40s, 50s, and now 60s, I now know that God was preparing me and grooming me to learn that my happiness comes from Him and not from others. Going through those dark times opened my eyes to the Truth. Now I am always smiling because I'm in my place of peace and happiness, even when I'm going through a storm. Thank you for reminding us about our journey!

Thank you for making this. I’m NOT a person who is always upbeat, cheerful, joyful, but I have overheard this addressed to generally happy folk, and I can’t understand that. Don’t we need more joy? Even low myself, I’ve been glad somebody else is at a great place in life.
Amen! I have been depressed and didn't think I would make it. I watched my dad take his last breath after fighting pancreatic cancer for 2 years. I am so happy to be on the other side of things. I miss him daily, but now I can smile at the wonderful memories we made as a family. I smile when I think of him. Occasionally it's smiling through tears, but happy to have all the memories. Everyday isn't perfect but I am grateful and I try to find joy every single day. I tell my children that your bad day does not constitute someone else's. Bring light to others, not darkness. Preach Tabitha! A smile shouldn't upset you 🙂.
Some people are miserable and misery loves company so when they see someone else who smiles and has joy, it triggers them because they wonder why they dont have that.

I once worked w/a woman who hated when people were happy. I prayed for her to find her bliss. But she just got worse after being given a position of authority. So I started to pray for the people who came into contact with her.
Lord Jesus!! This is so good Tabitha! Never know what people are going through behind that smile too. I love to smile and laugh. When I was working most of the people enjoyed me, I was nice, and always had a smile on my face. However, this one co-worker seemed to have a problem with that. She really became like a bully and started picking at me. I really kept my cool for a moment, but one day I had enough of her. All I can say that she found out that I was nothing to play with. She started being nice after that. :)

My mother had a smile on her face when she passed last year. She was even smiling in her casket at the funeral. I was her and my daddy's caregiver between 2007 - 2021 and suffered burnout. I have overcome paralyzing panic attacks and debilitating fear/anxiety. I did think I was going to die in 2017 because I thought the Lord was through with me. I have overcome depression and I smile all the damn (said for emphasis) time today because I have so much meaning and purpose in my life. My smile is a gift from God that I appreciate. In fact, my smile radiates my light on the inside. It has been turned back on after being blown out from burnout and I'm so glad about my healing!!!! The world didn't give it to me and the world can't take my smile away.

Lost a mom at the age of 18 to a house fire.
Had so much social anxiety and would cry when I would be invited to go places.
Lived isolated and alone and had no friends growing up.
Dealt with so much depression I thought I was going to die. Anxiety crippled me from LIVING. Like I was AFRAID to live my life.
Honey I came OUT on the other side and I smile and smile and smile because the JOY of the Lord is my STRENGTH.
When I say ALL THINGS WORKS TOGETHER!!! This JOY that I have wasn't easy to come by and I refuse to allow anyone to take it away from me!!
I am always excited to give an answer for the HOPE that lies within me!!!!! My life isn't perfect by any means but it's a good, quiet, and peaceable life. I have PEACE. Ohhh God I thank You!!!

Thanks Tabitha! I cared for my mom from 18 to 24 years, then she died...I was vexed with the world. She did not even get to see my kids! I had a debilitating disease, but I was healed, and last year my husband left me with three kids...thought I was too miserable after he made me that way! I refused to be depressed about any of it! God strengthened me to keep pushing, keep smiling and I keep singing "I never lost my praise!"

Yes, I watched my mother suffer and take her last breath. It took me a few months to come back to the happiness, but when I did, I am happy, and I smile and I am asked why are you smiling for no reason. It is always a reason to smile and my total happiness. I was able to be with my mother until she left me and she told me she love. I witnessed my father in the same since. I now know how not to let anyone take anything else from me. So, thank you and yes you have a great smile. Blessings

My own failures & trauma blocked me from receiving joy and giving joy in return. Hey Tab,I get it. For my last birthday, I was asked,what I wanted for my birthday? My response was “to wake up with fair to good health “,and I was sincere. I have out lived 3 of my 4 siblings and I turned 66. The oldest was 61 when he passed,the other two were in their 50s;so 66 is an absolute Blessing. All I want this year for my birthday is to wake up in fair to good health. I don’t need a party. I just want to wake up and THANK GOD BECAUSE I. WOKE. UP. PRAYERS PEACE AND BLESSINGS TABITHA. I experience the same thing. How can I smile and be so jovial all the time? Sorry but, I am not wired to be a Bitter Betty. I too watched my mom take her last breath a couple of months ago. I am a survivor of the 911 World Trade Center attacks in 2001. 20 years of health challenges from that alone have threatened my life multiple times over the years. Having to face my mortality? The fight for my life can be exhausting. You never know what someone has been through. Leave people alone, kindness goes a long way. As for me. you don't have permission to run my life! I agree. I have had people tell me that they didn't like me because I smile a lot and laugh a lot. They don't know that I am rarely smiling and I rarely laugh, so I take in the joyfulness whenever I am able to genuinely smile and laugh. I wonder why others want me sad.

You're absolutely correct ms tab, 2018 took my faith and appreciation for life to a whole new level to where nothing can disturb my peace and take away my inner joy and happiness, I gave birth to my first born after believing I wouldn't be able to have a child and God blessed my husband and I with a healthy son, 3 months later I lost my mother to pancreatic cancer; it was a slow process and I was with her at her home when she took her last breath as I sang her favorite song to her; she passed in peace and this was 4 years ago to this day.
