Ha! I was at that location like 2 weeks ago to chagne my license from AB to ON, now I'm looking into a B class and found this. Hilarious little happenstance.
Just discovered you David. Great video! I will be binging over the next while as I just picked up a 2011 CE200 in NS. Excited to get going on the conversion within the next few months.
@brendahayah Good question. Memory doesn't serve here, so I checked my records. They show that the police report had arrived before I did the road test. Not sure about the timing of the written test. If you drop by a testing centre, staff can tell you.
I see from rewatching the first few minutes of my video that I had the medical report and police report done before I did the written test. I suspect that's required, but MTO staff can confirm.
Hey do you mind telling me how it was getting the z? Did you have to pay for schooling for that or was it a knowledge test? Thanks in advance! I’m about to get b but I want my z for more job opportunities
I did take classes for the Z endorsement. It cost money. Learned a lot. The school handed out helpful written materials that went beyond the MTO handbook. The school was authorized to administer and grade the tests. The tests were both written and practical (conducted in the cab of an 18 wheeler tractor. I'm happy to discuss this more.
@Okayyyjesss It's been three years so details are hazy. I think it was a few hours per day for two weeks. You can contact a local truck driver school for details about their training.
Checking the tires for defects; how I would check that the overhead flashers were working (front and back) if the bus I was using was equipped with them, and checking for the presence of safety equipment: first aid kit; fire extinguisher and road reflectors.
@@halfalanche I took the test within days of completing the course. My instructor drilled topics that might be on the test. Where are you in your training?

Good job getting your CDL! You now have yet another marketable skill. :)
Congratulations !
@@Fatima.114 Thanks! I was proud of that accomplishment.
Great, detailed info. What an adventure!

Nice to see another Canadian doing the skoolie thing. There were very few Canadians at Skoolie UP this summer. It would be good to change that.
Great work but keep it out of a Canadian winter if you want longevity
Longevity 😂
detailed video, thank you. lf l may ask, will l be allowed to write my knowledge test( for BZ licence ) without my Criminal record report?

How many hours of training did you do before the road test?

What did they ask you to inspect ?

@@theskoolielife thanks . So they didn’t ask you to inspect 4 things out side and 2 inside ?
@@halfalanche He may well have. I gave you just what I recall. What's your experience with the test?
@@theskoolielife just curious. I’m going for mine in April. Just looking for advice
