Really sad about your loss. I'm sure your Rhiannon was as hauntingly beautiful as Stevie's.

Yeah Stevie was wasted beyond repair for this performance but her friend Robyn Snider had passed recently and the pressure of the tour also had her feeling very fragile so I understand why she didn't perform as well as she normally would. I mean holy fuck she's a human being!!!! Give her credit for even going on stage. The life of a Rock star has tremendous perks and lots of money but its extremely hard work also. The road alone will test your endurance and can also play mind games on you. You have to be incredibly strong to sustain that lifestyle. Stevie Nicks is a SURVIVOR!!!! She loves her fans. Im sure she felt bad that this performance wasn't her best. Personally I love Stevie Nicks no matter what. I truly am her BIGGEST fan.

I was there with my girlfriend that day, but she lost a flipflop, so we had to leave while the sun was still up so she wouldn't step on glass. Saw all Quarterflash, Missing Persons, U2 and some of Berlin's set. Still have the Jersey 40 years later. The drive home up I-5 was fun in the 450SL passing car loads of other concert attendees
This is a testament to what it cost someone to be a rock star at the time, but you know what, you can also see the depth of strength that she used to survive it and much worse to come. No wonder her music can heal the brokenhearted.

Its literally killed her and she was turning to drugs to cope. It is EXTREMELY HARD. To be an artists. Especially one that writes her own songs. Its such an emotional toll. So leave her alone. Terri she had inflamed nodes on her vocal cords. Her doctor told her to cancel tour dates so he could remove the swollen nodes but Stevie didn't want to do that so she shredded her vocal cords night after night. Most of the tour she sounded Ok even though it was still painful to sing. This was just a bad night and a very important night so she went on ANYWAYS hoping to get through it Ok. Stevie Nicks loves her fans and she never wants to disappoint them. Brave lady in my opinion.

There were many times she fell off the stage, crashed into the stage lights and passed out so please none of that "There is no one like you my ancient Queen" crap!!

Terri she had inflamed nodes on her vocal cords. Her doctor told her to cancel tour dates so he could remove the swollen nodes but Stevie didn't want to do that so she shredded her vocal cords night after night. Most of the tour she sounded Ok even though it was still painful to sing. This was just a bad night and a very important night so she went on ANYWAYS hoping to get through it Ok. Stevie Nicks loves her fans and she never wants to disappoint them. Brave lady in my opinion.

Also BB Iovine had left by now because he couldn't take her drug use. From White Wing Dove in 81 to this 83. But she has always said bless her that she was the worst of the worst drug addicts. Excuse I meant Tusk "Sara" and "Sister of the Moon" and don't forget her little performance of "Wild Heart" with Lori when she's getting her make up put on and the little documentary of her recording (with Iovine) :After the Glitter Fades" and "In the still of the Night" those and the other ones I mentioned are fucking awesome NOT 1983 US, Red Rock, and the 1983 "Wild Heart" tour where she's swinging that kid around. There were many times she fell off the stage, crashed into the stage lights and passed out so please none of that "There is no one like you my ancient Queen" crap!!

I've been watching the Stevie Nicks videos from this event and although she looks stunning, she's obviously not all there. I'm not making fun of her at all...just saying it looks like she's drunk or high. And she looks depressed. I know how depression can grip someone...happens to me too. I just sorta feel sorry for her watching these videos.
