  • Welcome back to the channel! I want to thank everyone interacting with the channel. It helps me out, thank you!!
If you’re new to the channel and interested in the swap series, go to video one and watch the progression of the Hemi Swap!
In this video we cover the complete installation of the Charger shifter and 8 Speed wiring.
You want to find a Shifter from a Challenger/Charger from a 2015-2018. When ordering your shifter bezel from JEEP SPEED SHOP, specify what shifter you are working with. There is a slight variation between the Challenger and Charger shifter bezels. I sourced my shifter from eBay. You can also call your local auto wrecker or go to a salvage yard and pull it yourself. This route is usually your cheapest option.
    Parts needs for this swap:
    Charger/Challenger Shifter from a 2015-2018. Either a V6 or V8, it doesn’t matter.
Shifter bezel from Jeep Speed Shop (model of bezel is specific to your year Jeep and shifter model being used) or make your own.
    jeepspeedshop....
8 Speed wiring harness from Jeep Speed Shop or Hotwire Auto (I used Hotwire Auto)
    irp.cdn-websit...
    Jeep Speed Shop Shifter Plate
    JSS phone number: +1 707-338-3154
Call in for parts not listed on the website.
In the next video, I will go over in detail how I was able to use a portion of the original Charger bezel to integrate with the Jeep Speed Shop bezel. It gives the fit and function of OEM.

Great information!! I also sourced a 2020 durango 5.7 and trans. Did you have to change the transfer case adaptor?

My transmission came from a 2017 Ram. It came with the 4x4 adapter.

Love this whole series, I sub'd as well. Once done maybe a wrap up video from a higher level of parts and lessons learned? Just a thought and then you can reference specific video's that have more in-depth information on that specific portion. Plus mabe a final cost for the project too... I'm still on the fence LS or Hemi with 8 speed ... Thanks for putting this out there cheers from AB

I plan on doing a wrap up video when the swap is complete. As well as a parts break down and total cost in the end. As far as a "higher level of parts" and "referencing specific videos for more in-depth information", can you clarify what you mean by that? Are you looking for me to reference videos outside of my channel or videos I have uploaded? I'll do what I can to accommodate. Thanks for reaching out!

@@JKB_OFFROAD_olllllllo Hey, sorry I was just thinking of just your video's for people in the wrap up video. I see some content channels doing a reference back to previous video's to help the sub's quickly go to it. It's as simple as a link in the comments section. Just thinking out loud for you, your series are very good and the information is direct with good coverage on the process you went through. I've watch to many video's on this process with both Hemi and LS ... Hence the reason I'm on the fence still and I have a 2015 Rubicon so I am leaning Hemi ... but cost right. Thanks again

Not a problem. I will definitely go into a detailed breakdown in the wrap up video. Thanks for your input! I would personally go Hemi. All parts are Mopar part numbers. And the simplicity of the swap is just that, simple. You’re only adding the one TCM for the 8 speed. I was also on the fence with a Turbo LS. But Jeep Speed Shop and Hotwire Auto have the Hemi swap dialled.
