I have become addicted to your videos now. I don't know how you do it but every time you create great gems. Just the idea of making patterned paper cards make me anxious but after watching several videos of yours I want to try making a few. Thanks for sharing.
Gogo Dham Aw, thanks! I appreciate your kindness. I’ve always been a fan of using pattern paper on my cards. There are so many wonderful styles available. 😊
Kristie, you did a fantastic job with this paper pad. I don't think I could pick a favorite card, but my favorite sentiment is the cut apart with curious in it. And the wander. I would also like to say, I thoroughly enjoyed the songs you chose to go along with this video. Some were new to me, but all were soothing and fit so well with the theme of the paper pad. Thank you so much for sharing all that you share. You are a marvel!
Jeanne Tomshack Thank you so much! I appreciate the continued support. I did try to choose music that suited the paper style. That can be challenging with an hour long video though. Have a beautiful day! 😊
Hi Kristie Thanks for using this collection. I have ordered it. I can't afford all the embellishments but did order a couple. I have a card ministry and my latest project is to make cards for a retirement home for veterans in Walterboro SC. I need 200 cards. I love this collection and can't wait to get it and get started. I am hoping to get some donations from some of the crafty people here at You Tube. As always, thanks so much for all your videos. I am retired and on a limited income . My husband and I have a lot of health issues but this is one way I feel I can give back with my time and crafting. Big hugs! Carol
Crafty Carolina Gal Thank you for your kind words. I really appreciate it. 😊 How very thoughtful and generous of you to donate cards to a local retirement home. I know the cards will be greatly cherished. 💖
I really liked this group of Father's Day card designs Kristie! You didn't need a bunch of different stamps to create you cards and they were designed all from a very simple concept!
Awesome set of masculine cards. It really is a challenge finding papers that will work for guys. I bought the Authentique “Mister” collection to make Fathers Day cards. It comes in an 8x8 pad if you’re looking for another good masculine paper pad
Heather G Thank you! I enjoyed the change in colors with this collection. I looked up the Mister collection. It looks like a great paper pad. Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll have to see if I’ll have time to use it. I have quite the busy video schedule at the moment. 🙂
After I saw this video, I ordered the paper pad and have working on the cards ever since. I'm down to the 2nd from your last sketch using the 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 pieces of paper and I've had a lot of fun watching your video over and over. After this the Queen & Co. Mothers Day kit. I'm behind but having a great time. Thanks so much for the inspiration!

Add that to the moving video Heidi posted explaining how she came up with some of these designs, and I'm a complete goner. For sure if it ever goes on sale, I must order at least two 6x6 pads. Both were available at Joanns, but they could be older selections, because I know I have been hoarding them for some time. Linda S. in NE Thank you for your kind words. I really appreciate it. When I heard Heidi’s story about how personal this collection is to her, I knew I had to use it. My favorite is the birch tree paper with the star. Of course I love them all but I like that one the most. That's cute that you added that rocket shaker in there....I would have never thought of that. Its funny, I wouldnt look twice at this paper in the store but seeing it in your cards....its beautiful paper!
Sherry Somers Thank you! As soon as I saw the moon paper, I knew I wanted to use Queen & Company’s rocket shaker and sentiment. This is why I always buy the refills to the shaker kits. I normally would pass on a 36 sheet single sided paper pad. But I knew this would be perfect for Fathers Day cards. And there weren’t any pattern paper designs I didn’t like. 😊

Hi Kristie! Thanks again for the fun card video. Can't wait to make the "scraps" card. I ordered the wolf pack 6x6 pad. And I have the frames die already! Great video!
Thiiiiis is so beautiful...I had to order this collection to also make some cards. In Germany it wasn't available...so I bought from over the pond 🙈 Love watching you craft with other papers than the colorful doodlebug & Co. papers. Please give us more of these kind of card! Love it sooo much!
@@KristieMarcotte Maybe take a look at craft smith “Whisky Barrel“ or docrafts “Mr.Smith Workshop“. For the last collection there are also nice embellishments.
I think in generell craft smith has beautiful 6x6 paperpads. Most time with some cut apart sheets...ideal for cardmaking. And often with beautiful foiling. I would love to see some videos like this with their papers. Hope they are available for you.
@@kreativeReise Can you please tell us where you purchased these two paper packs? It sounds like you may be overseas. They sound perfect for some projects I have coming up. Thank you.
Kristie these cards are very nice! I just might have to get this paper pad myself, lol. I really like the paper with the tree lines and foggy look but I also love the birch looking paper also. Btw the music played was very appropriate for this paper pack as it sound like nature if that makes sense 😉 TFS have a nice day
Ella Conner Thank you! It was actually nice using a more neutral color palette. I tried to select lighter sounding music, but I did still use some of the more bubbly stuff. I need to search for more songs sometime. I use quite a few for my hour long videos. 😊
Again totally fabulous father's day cards. What is the name of the set of dies you used for your signature piece, discontinued I know but need to search for it.
judith thompson Thank you! 😊 The short banner die I use quite often is from a Project Life die set by American Crafts. I haven’t been able to find a similar one yet.
I love this paper. I bought the whole collection awhile back. I love all the cards and colors you used. Hope you can do masculine cards once in awhile.
My favorite are the ones with the three tags (can't find the right word tonight...darn MS). I wasn't sure I'd like them, but I did. I only screamed *no...don't cut that paper* once. That was when you cut up the tree paper near the end. It killed me. It's so pretty. Thank you for sharing and have a great day. Also...just FYI, I think I'm the only person on the planet that just doesn't like shaker cards. What is wrong with me? LOL
Deborah Wildman Thank you! I call them banners, but I may be wrong. I know what cards you are talking about. 😊 Sorry to cause you distress when I cut apart the lovely tree paper. Maybe you’ll need to buy the collection so you can save that paper. You can frame it like I did with the pink camera paper. 😄 It’s ok if you don’t care for shaker cards. At least I only did one this time. 🙂
Great cards Kristie!!! I wondered how these were going to turn out!!! They are great!!! Thoroughly enjoyed the long video & music & EVERYTHING!!! 💗💕🌸💗💕🌸💕💗🌸💕💗

Jo Blackford Thank you! It really is a wonderful paper collection. I didn’t want to add too much sparkle to the cards, but the mirror cardstock just worked so nicely. Plus, I’m really loving specialty cardstock lately. And of course, Peel Off stickers. I am completely addicted to those and highly recommend them. I’ll definitely share the next time there is a sale. 😊
I loved this video just because it is you making cards. You could be using loo roll and I would watch! My fave is the card with 3 banners. I struggle with some paper packs and this just makes it easy! That Reverse Confetti die is a must have!! You might link it so....
Beverly Stotz Aw, you are just so sweet. 😊 The 3 banner sketch is perfect for using up the longer scrap pieces. Aren’t both of the Reverse Confetti tag dies fun? I just recently purchased them and love them already. I don’t currently have affiliate links with Reverse Confetti. But I did go ahead and add their store link in the description box. I love their products. 💖
mousekemom I really don’t spend much time planning. I select coordinating cardstock, a few stamp sets, Peel Offs, and maybe a couple sketches that I know will work well with the collection and I get started. I choose a sketch, make a couple cards, choose another sketch, make a couple more cards, and keep going until the paper is mostly gone. 🙂
Kristie, for your matting layers, do you mostly purchase 12 x 12 cardstock or 8.5 x 11 cardstock??? Do you have a specific supplier for your cardstock or do you just purchase it on sale @ Michael’s or Hobby Lobby or JoAnn’s???? Thanks!!! 💗💕💐💕💗. Also, do you wait until you have a paper pad in hand before shopping for matting cardstock or do you just stock up when you can???
Alice Adler When I need to purchase cardstock, I generally buy 12x12 paper at Joann’s. (I try to wait for a sale and stock up.) There are only a few colors I buy in the 8 1/2 x 11 size. Black. Kraft, and navy blue. I buy them in the packs from Michaels. I prefer to have the paper pad on hand, but sometimes I’ll just buy colors I know I’m low on. 🙂
They were all beautiful but the last card was one of MANY favorite! I know that I ask questions a lot of questions regarding the layering of your cards, so is the majority of the the 8 1/2 x 11 paper used for layering and the 12 x 12 used to cover the entire surface of the 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card?
Monica Sanchez-Conrad Thank you! I really enjoyed making this set of cards. 😊 I use both the 8 1/2 x 11 and 12 x 12 paper for layering and for the card backgrounds. I don’t have a preference on size, it’s just what coordinates best with the collection.
I just got a hold of these papers 😍 loved them so much that i took almost all extra stuff and 4 small pads and 2 big pads🙈🤣 do u remember which colors u used for layers? 😃
Papercraft Moon Yay! This is a great paper collection. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I listed all the cardstock brands/colors on my blog. At least the cardstock that had the labels on them. 🙂
Papercraft Moon Never mind, I just looked at my blog post. The only cardstock I had info on is the black. That’s what happens when your cardstock has been hanging out in your craftroom for over 15 years. 😳
Haha xD thanks anyway for looking 😃 i Will see what i can find that works- black is so easy to find 🤣 cant wait until i can start on these papers- on a crafting event right now😜 and didnt bring them- got so much stuff with me🤣
Heather Upton The sketch at that time is MM 516. The sketch with the scallop circle and 2 vertical strips is MM 514. The font does make the numbers a bit hard to read though. Perhaps I labeled it wrong a previous card?
Thanks Kristie, didn't think you or MM would have made a mistake - it was another person's blog I went to because I loved her card and she had said it was 516. Clear as a bell now. Thanks for your time and assistance.
Heather Upton You are very welcome. I’m happy to help. (And I’m glad I didn’t label it wrong.) I’m sure I’ve made other mistakes in my videos over the years though. It happens. Lol!
It's hard to pick a favorite! I really like the one where you featured the standing bear in the oval die cut. And I really like the cards with the three banners! I saw that you used quite a few peel-offs. Have you ever used up an entire sheet of peel-offs? 😁
Lisa Shireman Thank you! The bear card is one of my favorites as well. I liked being able to use the bear from the pattern paper as the focal image. I use a lot of Peel Offs all the time. (I don’t video all my cards.) Yes, I have completely finished off several sheets of Peel Offs. I make sure to stay well stocked. 😊
Cheryl Nagy The tiny circles are from a retired die by Paper Smooches. It cuts out 50 small circles at once and they are the perfect size for tiny embellishments. Bummer it’s retired though.
Barbara Wolfe Goodness, that is terrible! I suggest speaking to the activity coordinator in person. Show them your cards and see if it’s something they have a need for. I write messages inside all of my cards I give to the residents. I’m quite confident the residents receive them. I hope you find a place to share your lovely cards. 🙂
Kristie is always so generous and posts the sketches on her blog. She also has a pinterest board with tons of card sketches. If you open up the info box below her video, the links are all listed there. Thanks, Kristie! It's so helpful!

Kristie Marcotte thanks Kristie!!!
I use both the 8 1/2 x 11 and 12 x 12 paper for layering and for the card backgrounds. I don’t have a preference on size, it’s just what coordinates best with the collection.
Wonderful.
Sher Mullet Thank you! 😊
Haha xD thanks anyway for looking 😃 i Will see what i can find that works- black is so easy to find 🤣 cant wait until i can start on these papers- on a crafting event right now😜 and didnt bring them- got so much stuff with me🤣
Awesome!
Anne Patterson Thank you! 😊
I love all these cards, my favorites are the ones with the stars, and the wolves.
Riza Hawks Thank you! I really enjoyed turning this paper pads into a set of cards. 😊
Excellent selection, as always. Any idea why MM has two different Sketch 516?...tfs
Heather Upton Thank you! Mojo Monday only has one sketch 515. I just changed my mind and decided to use it twice. 😊
Not 515, MM 516 @ 15.45 mins into your video. When I searched, 516 came up as having a scalloped circle over two vertical pieces & one horizontal???
The last card was my favorite... but I'm partial to wolves.
Lynn Atchley Thank you! I loved the wolf cut apart and made sure to find a way to use it. 😊
Are the very small dots made from a paper punch? None of my circle dies are that small.
Cheryl Nagy The tiny circles are from a retired die by Paper Smooches. It cuts out 50 small circles at once and they are the perfect size for tiny embellishments. Bummer it’s retired though.
What size are the pieces of paper that you put inside the cards?
Crystal Gail Hello. For vertical cards, 3/4” x 4”. For horizontal cards, 3/4” x 5 1/4”. Sometimes narrower if that’s all I have left. 🙂
What do u use for your pickup stick
Barbara Wolfe Hello. I use a jewel picker by Uchida. I added a link in the description box where you can purchase it. 🙂
💖💖💖🌹🤓
Debra Shaw Thank you! 😊💖
My friend tried to donate to a nursing home n found out the employees took them......I need to find a way to do that so the elders r getting them!
How do I get the pattern sheets??
Barb S Hello. The card sketches are always shared over on my blog, The Best Things in Life are Pink. The link is in the description box. 🙂
Kristie is always so generous and posts the sketches on her blog. She also has a pinterest board with tons of card sketches. If you open up the info box below her video, the links are all listed there. Thanks, Kristie! It's so helpful!
