The AMA is too powerful; just like any organization or government gets at a certain point. They need to be dismantled and start fresh. They're all about the politics now, not racing.
The AMA, NASCAR, the high school principle, the police, the government -- they are all human institutions, and they make mistakes like anyone. They're not perfect, but the one thing they are is necessary. Because any time you have a group of human beings ANYWHERE where there is a profit or glory to be taken, you will have unethical scumbag cheaters. No use ragging on them, because if you were the one who got screwed over by some dirtbag, you'll want them to be there to correct things as best they can, guaranteed.
Inconsistency in rules and application of penalities is rife in Motorsport, Honda get away with plenty in motogp. A lot of these organisations forget there’s a rider at the end of there decision whose busting his ass. I wonder if anyone goes back and audits all of these penalties just to see how consistent they are ?. It would be an interesting exercise.

ive been watching supercross for about 20 years. that jason anderson is the best rider i have ever seen!!!! unreal. watched him pass trey canard in a race a few years ago and trey canard was over it, could not catch Jason Anderson. made trey canard look slow
That's what I'm saying, the AMA keeps all the money. If you got 15th place at supercross every week, you couldn't afford a bike and driving to the next race. If it wasn't for sponsors most the guys would have to quit. We have the viewership to pay the riders better. Thanks for sharing your story.
