🍎👍 Great tour as always. I'd never really been interested in these types of ruins until we visited some in southern Mexico and Guatemala a few years ago. They are really cool. I didn't know about these in Mexico city and it looks like you had them almost to yourself. -H

Those aren’t Aztec pyramids but from an unknown civilization that predated the Aztecs approximately1000 years. The Aztecs named the city Teotihuacan (city of the gods) but the actual name of the city is unknown.

Are you allowed to climb the pyramind of the sun ?

Not at the moment due to the pandemic, however in normal times it is possible to go all the way up the pyramid of the sun, it is also possible to go up the pyramid of the moon but only half way because the top is currently being excavated, bear in mind that a couple of decades ago you could go up basically all pyramids in México but more and more archeological sites are prohibiting it, it is possible that in a couple of years you migth not be able to go ut the pyramids of Teotihuacan either.

Such an spectacular place to visit. Sadly, local government should take care of the guys selling their souvenirs. I know they are trying to make an honest income with their souvenirs (and I support that!) but being all over the place, boarding you and trying to sell you something every few steps makes the experience annoying and less enjoyable. They could probably be held out in a designated area, just like I've seen them in Chichen Itza in the past, mainly in the way out when you've seen and enjoyed the place.
Probably an unpopular opinion, but it makes it less enjoyable for those who make the effort travelling to the country to see these amazing ancient and historical places.

Talvez, quem sabe, esse povo poderia ser hoje um dos mais prósperos países do mundo, não fosse a tolice de Montezume.
